    What a great moment! Long live rock & roll, as Frankie says. This is certainly one of the greatest bands ever!

    Wow!!!! Now this is something to see and thank you for posting. One of the greatest bands ever!!!! Rest In Peace Tommy DeVito, Bob Crewe and Nick Massi. These guys are great and have followed their individual careers throughout the 50’s (the Four Lovers, Frankie Valley, Frankie Tyler, the 60’s (the 4 Seasons) the 70’s (Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons) and all the way up to today as the Jersey Boys. You guys have brought some great rock, pop, disco and some of the greatest ballads ever to reach the charts and even today, right now with Te Quero Baby, a take off of Can’t Take My Eyes Off You!!!! Does it ever end???? I hope not!!!! Rest In Peace DeVito, Crewe snd Massi.

      Joe Long had replaced Nick Massi long before Frankie Valli recorded Can't take my eyes off you. It 's also strange that the background band played Opus 17, after Bob Crewe introduced the 4 seasons. The very first track that JOE LONG recorded w/ the 4 seasons. I do believe that JOE LONG should have been inducted to the Hall of Fame Too.

      Joe Long was the 4 seasons bass player for 10 years. Longer than ANY other member.

    The Jersey Boys !!
    I use to play them in the late 70s around 78 to 81 on an 8 track in my 69 chevelle Super Sport !! The pretty little red head girl I was dating at the time tolerated it !! Then started to appreciate them !!
    I wonder now how she feels that they became known as the Jersey Boys ! And after a movie and play came out years later ... and how good they really were !!! Lol 🤣🤣🤣
    P.S. My daughter sure did... since I would play them..and other classics with her growing up !!! 😂

      You're right. Joe absolutely should have been included. Nick, of course, was the original bass player, but Joe was actually with the group longer. He was a great guy who stepped up when he was needed. He should have been included.

      Agreed!!!! Joe Long earned and deserved to be up on that stage. From what I understand Frankie Valli requested that Joe also receive the recognition but the RRHOF declined since he was not an original member. Again, Joe Long deserved to be honored that evening and it did not sit well with him, as heard in interviews. Rest In Peace Joe.

    We so loved the “FOUR SEASONS “ & saw them many times preform! Frankie Valli & THE FOUR SEASONS ARE A LEGENDARY GROUP W/ their music still as popular now in 2020, as it was when they first came on the music scene( seen the play & movie “JERSEY BOYS” umpteen times too 😂& just love everything about them. Their music was & still is extraordinary! They well deserved their induction into “THE ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME!”❤️

    The greatest USA group of all time! First USA group to sell well over 200 million records! They were the only USA band at that time that were consistently competitive with the Beatles! The Beatles exploded onto the scene in February 1964. They had a strangle hold on the top 5 songs in the country at that time. But at number 3 was Dawn. That should have been a number 1 song if I ever heard of one. As a matter of fact Dick Clark (American Bandstand) was doing a show specifically on the Beatles from that time. He showed the top ten board from that time and the Beatles had 4 of the top 5 songs: when he got to number 3 (Dawn) he paused and stated that sometime in the near future he was going to do a specific show on the 4 seasons: which he did. They were the only two groups from the 1960's that he did special shows on. Then in the Summer of the British Invasion (Beatles): 1964 Rag Doll went to number 1 for almost 2 months! THEY DO NOT GET THE CREDIT THEY DESERVE! THEY REMAIN ICONIC AND MADE HISTORY! THANK YOU BOBBY: FRANKIE: TOMMY: NICKY: AND JOEY! RIP NICKY:TOMMY: AND BOB CREWE. I LOVE YOUR MUSIC AND EVEN MORE IMPORTANT THAN ME MILLIONS OF PEOPLE ALL OVER THE WORLD LOVE YOUR MUSIC TOO. IT WILL CONTINUE TO STAND THE TEST OF TIME!

      I agree with you and Frankie really was out there with his vocals but I think the Beachboy’s too we’re competing with the Beatles and Pet Sounds was listened to by the Beatles and kind of copied production wise.

      I get the Italian/Jersey pride or whatever but come on lmao. The Four Seasons have not sold anywhere even remotely close to 200 million records.

    I will jump six feet in the air when the day comes that Neil sedaka is inducted.the trouble is no one knows when (or even if as it should do) that day will come. like the four seasons he has been around since the 1950s. it's so wrong that he keeps getting snubbed. could somebody please tell me why he does?. from Michael from Yorkshire and proud of it.

      While the Jersey Boys musical and movie depicts the original Four Seasons reuniting for a performance at their induction ceremony it didn’t happen in real life.

    • @lynettecace8233
      @lynettecace8233 Рік тому +1

      Correct. There were no rehearsed performance by the 4 Seasons, nor any other of the inductees. In the early years of the induction ceremonies , however, an unrehearsed "jam session" at the end of the ceremonies took place that included the inductees, presenters, and invited guests. In this 1990 induction ceremony, the live band was led by Paul Schaffer of David Letterman fame, and the last song of the evening at the jam session was the old Spaniels tune "Goodnight Sweetheart Goodnight" with Frankie taking the lead and Nick Massi providing the bass parts. As I recall, Carol King sang a song or two or hers and Art Garfunkel did a brief "Bridge Over Troubled Waters" at the jam session. And based on my recollection, Carol's and Art's singing, and I am trying to be polite here, if it wasn't impromptu, needed much more "rehearsal."
