It's obvious that you've never seen the video, or had a discussion with an actual Men's Rights Advocate. Unless of course you were trying to parody the typical feminist commentator, to which I would have to say you did a good job. You sound just like the leftists media people who decried this film as hateful of women and sexist without having even watched it.
Criticize Cassie Jay for not being confrontational in the film, that's fine. But the film itself is nowhere near what it is accused of being, again by people who have never even seen it. What she did is actually rare, she showed both sides of the argument. Interviewed both "sides" if the gender divide and left it up to people to come to their own conclusions.
She chose not to go the Michael Moore route, using sensationalism and theatrics to push a specific view point. Often times misrepresenting facts, or playing events out of order to push that view point and mislead people.

Cassie Jaye is a true heroine of gender dialogue and helping them get together.
I don't think MGTOW and understanding the importance of fathers being present are mutually exclusive. MGTOW simply don't want to get married, which means they won't have kids either, making the irreconcilable part of the situation irrelevant. I can totally empathize with men who think having kids with the wrong woman is worse than not having kids at all. After all, why have them if they are going to be ripped away from you, and brainwashed to hate you and to only think of you as an ATM? Seriously! Relationships between men and women will continue to deteriorate in terms of lack of marriage until divorce laws are fixed so that the risks to either gender are not too horrible to take. Is that too much to ask?

Unfortunately it won't Anne, whether we know it or not we live in an increasingly feminised society in the west and it all starts with indoctrinating the young. The bureaucracies are dominated by women and feminists doctrine, ditto the media and academia all spouting gender inequality and the guise of a ruling patriarchy. There may well be male figure heads in our institutIons but most are severely emasculated and held up as proof of male dominance. The result of all this. Fractured families and children, most particularly boys, without sound moral and ethical learning. That is all outsourced to the state who feed whatever rubbish is current in popular thinking into impressionable young minds.
The trouble with women now is they do not value what it is to be truly feminine and seek entry into men's ways and male culture, probably because it appears more glamorous and liberating. And when they do they claim how toxic that culture is as it doesn't fit the "niceness" of feminine ways. And ultimately that's the nature of male business, getting down and getting dirty to make things happen.
Of course much had to be addresssed for women pre feminism but feminism is out of control and has always been a tool of social engineering. Yet another nail in the coffin of individual liberty.

    • @anneb889
      @anneb889 6 років тому +9

Simon Brownbridge I agree, women seem obsessed with being men (or their perception of what men are), rather than appreciate that there are differences between men and women, and that’s okay.
One area it seems is this very lax attitude with sleeping around. Maybe social media and tinder etc has exacerbated this, but I think of these women...are you really happier having 15, 20, 25+ etc sexual partners? I’m not saying women need to be virgins til marriage....but shouldn’t sex be reserved for guys your in a relationship with...not some guy you go out with one time on tinder. Let’s just call it what it is, prostitution. Women claim this empowers them to have sex like a man can, no emotion, just pleasure....but men and women are wired differently and I don’t believe that it is good for their psyche.
I agree there were some injustices pre feminism that had to be addressed (domestic violence being a “family matter” where cops and courts would not intervene, etc), but it is so far beyond that now....feminist are insane. I think they are just a man hating group now. And your right, the boys who will one day be men are suffering. And I feel like feminist are getting a sick pleasure out of men and boys suffering...like, how do you like it???? It’s very childish. Past injustices against women is no excuse for the current injustices against men. Two wrongs don’t make a right.
Awareness and becoming more vocal than the feminist is the key. I think that is the only way to push back against them. Which is why I think showing people this movie is a good start.
I never really gave much thought to feminism honestly. Really wasn’t on my radar. But since seeing this movie recently I have been trying to learn more... and a lot of those mgtow sites come up. Some guys just seem to hate women...they refuse to even consider not all women are the enemy, and I figure they are just the male version of the crazed feminist, so I get that. But what is so disturbing is when men open up about their divorces, never getting to see their kids, getting thrown in jail for being behind on child support. It’s heartbreaking. How is this happening?! These archaic family court laws have to change. I don’t blame men for walking away.
Like Cassie, I do think marriage is still the best system if children are involved, but these men don’t even want to have kids because the system is so rigged against them. And who can blame them?
Rational women and the men have to fight back, I am truly concerned about the path we’re on...what is the ultimate goal for the feminist? They don’t want equality, they want superiority.

An interesting thread to read. Please realize that one of the *main* forces behind radical feminism are elite, billionaire Jeωs. Search for *'wiki+jewish+feminists'* to see many of the most influential feminists and realize that they are funded by elite, billionaire Jeωs. This collective own and control all the mainstream media. They also own the main financial organizations such as the Federal Reserve, a source of almost limitless funding. They influence the curriculum and staff in universities/colleges through donations through the alumni organizations.
Elite, billionaire Jeωs donate money to the campaign funds of politicians. USA congressmen and congresswomen must sign an allegiance to Israel and follow instructions from elite Jeωs, or the campaign funds are given to their opposition. Every president that is elected has the backing of elite Jeωs. Presidential advisors are Jeωs who issue instructions, not just advice.
Simply search for keywords and *Brother Nathanael* to see videos on the topic.
For example, search (DuckDuckGo is best, Google is owned and controlled by elite Jeωs) for, *Brother Nathanael 911,* to get the truth about Jewish involvement in 911. The videos that result in this example, show the MOSSAD's involvement in the setting up of controlled demolitions to destroy the World Trade Center buildings 1, 2 and 7.
For confirmation of 911, see the video, *Christopher Bollyn Explains Who REALLY Did 9_11.*
I mention 911 specifically to demonstrate the power of elite, Zionist Jeωs as a collective.

@@anneb889 Well said. It really comes down to being a healthy, decent human being. By healthy I'm not just talking physical health but mental, emotional and social health as well. A lot of us are emotionally challenged from our family of origin. If we don't work on these issues it will affect our lives, including relationships. I discovered this in my own life. I grew up in a dysfunctional home and so did my ex wife. Both our fathers were alcoholics and my mom was mentally ill. I was a codependent and she was a covert narcissist. I had no idea what either one of those things were when we got married. It almost killed me until I got away. One good thing that came of it is I started working on my issues for which I'm truly grateful. Sometimes the only way to make changes happen is a refusal to play ball. If workers for example are being paid a shitty salary and the executives in charge refuse to increase their pay. Do those workers continue to work, hoping against hope that the executives would pay them more of their own accord, or did they go on strike and prevent any work getting done until their demands were met?
Things for men will never improve if we continue to just do the things society heavily relies on and also greatly takes for granted. They will never feel the pressure to renegotiate under these conditions, they got no reason to. Refusing to do the contributions they take for granted every day is the only way to get their attention, we gotta force them back to the negotiating table and that is how you do it. Men's Rights Activism combined with a healthy siding of MGTOW is the key to make great change.
We never wanted this, but if that is what must be done to get the world's attention to make much needed changes, then that is exactly what we're going to do.

yet both groups can share a common space! eg. a MGTOW fighting for fathers rights, as he has to see his children struggling bc. of missing influence by their father, eventough he fights activly against marriage (which is, sadly, like signing his own death warrant)
so it's NOT contradictionary to say "marriage is toxic femininity" while still fighting for father's rights... ;-)
(after seeing the movie "the red pill", one should know. especially the one creating that movie ;-)

Embrace the truth, embrace those who do also and embrace those who love your work. Mgtow Jones I don’t like todays feminism at all. I’m an egalitarian and I believe we need to fight for everyone’s rights. There are injustices towards men and women and it’s not as cut and dry as to say women are the only ones who are oppressed. Things can improve for both men and women. Like for instance shared custody of both sides want it and both are for then let them have shared custody. I’m against custody going to women in most cases if the father wants custody too and he’s fit to be a parent. There’s lots to be said about this really. I’m for the men’s rights movement, I am not a big fan of mgtows (not the idea, that’s up to them.) from what I’ve seen they are as bad as feminists, hostile and so on. So I don’t really like them. I’m short I don’t like the toxicity from both sides. Why not come together and work for each other’s rights instead of having an us against them mentality.

  • @warofnoise5394

Yes, Cassie, marriage is important. But the reason why MRAs avoid it like the plague is because it is filled with NOTHING but liabilities and dangers for men.
    You should know this.
The majority of alimony and child custody goes to women. If men can't pay or keep up they go to jail. If women can't, they get help. Since No-Fault divorce became a thing, men have been having their lives destroyed ever since. The vast majority of male veteran suicides are during divorce.
The woman doesn't have to have a reason to initiate it, and the vast majority of divorces are initiated by women. And there's nothing the man can do. I've heard
    SO
    MANY
stories of "she took everything" and the state backs it up 100%. Marriage now just looks like a set-up for future asset acquisition. Legal theft. He worked his ass off for years to buy this house, this car, raise this family.
And now it's all hers. Stay away and pay your bills, dude, or you go to jail.
THAT'S what it looks like from the outside.

i agree very much with what she says about the gender relations regarding children. it's also something that is never mentioned at all when people talk about open-relationships, polyamory etc.
I suppose the problem with marriage for mgtow men and mra's is simply that trust in it as an institution is demolished and the current state with the way predominant feminism looks like is demolishing trust in the sincerity of a relationship. men are simply afraid of being objectified for their resources, put down for their masculinity when convenient and betrayed when the next one with more or more appealing resources comes along rather than being cherished for their value as a person and loved for who they are. the degree of entitlement and the image of male life that a lot of feminists and women show is simply appalling and absurdly naive.
Men are capable of a lot of personal sacrifices for what they value and love but if that's not recognized, is put down, exploited or abused then trust has gone out the window and men will turn their back and play the same game: never trust, never sacrifice.

No, no, no, you've completely missed everything on marriage. MGTOW point one thing : the institutions around marriage are a nightmare you don't want to come anywhere near. MGTOW also point out that everything that has to do with producing or raising children is also incredibly hazardous WC and encourage people to avoid going near that too.
MRAs point out the crucial importance of father in children's lives. That take place once people failed to take MGTOW's advice.
Both group agree that the institutions need to be fixed. MGTOW doesn't tell people to ditch their children. MGTOW is about personal responsibility and self reliance. Here are the risks, here are what to avoid. If you choose to take the risks, here're some ways to mitigate them, and make sure to plan for the potential fallout. Once you're aware of MGTOW, you don't become a victim of the system, only a foolish gambler loosing a stupid bet you've been warned not to place.
There is no contradiction between MGTOW saying to avoid making children, avoid marriage, avoid relationships, and MRAs saying that father are important for children.

I don't see any contrast with prioritising children's welfare and eschewing marriage. At it's core, a wedding is a contract binding two people together with some government intrusion into the union. The vows each party make lay out their obligations to one another and a divorce should carry penalties to the pursuant. Lately it has become clear the groom carries the burden of responsibility solely, and women - as the overwhelming majority of divorce petitioners - are actually rewarded for reneging on their promises. No one in their right mind would become a husband if they knew the risks, especially if hard times hit and the couple are forced onto government assistance. At that point it's much easier if he didn't live with her.

I loved "The Red Pill"! You did a great service to humanity & rationality with that documentary. You should be incredibly proud of yourself! I'm deeply thankful for your effort to seek the truth, as opposed to only be trying to confirm your own bias.
PS: About your statement in this interview, that "You need marriage to strengthen that relationship" (between fathers and their children):
This is wrong. Children don't need their parents to be married; they only need a stable relationship with their parents. And preferably the parents should be in a commited relationship with each other (which doesn't require marriage), because a committed relationship between the parents improves the stability of their relationship with their children.
But like I said, you don't need marriage to achieve a committed relationship; people can be just as committed to one another without being married. Marriage is just a juridical label; an illusory label to make a relationship seem more committed than it necessarily is. True commitment (true love) doesn't need any such superficial label.
Furthermore, marriage was mainly invented by culture as a way for women to be legally ensured resources for their offspring.
In other words: Marriage is mainly a female dream, because it's women who benefit the most from it (because they're the ones who have offspring to take care of, biologically speaking). A lot of men like the idea of marriage too, of course, but not as much as women typically do. Women typically deem marriage higher than men, and they often plan their dream-wedding for years before they ever get married. The wedding carries a special meaning to women, because that's the day that their man is showing the MOST official commitment to them. And the female biology desire a committed man, because his commitment means that he'll provide them with resources in the future. And this commitment is exactly what the wedding/marriage symbolizes to them, either consciously or unconsciously.

#WalkAway was originally conceived to be about walking away from leftism and the Democrat party in the US, but some people have their own interpretation. It seems to me that Leftism is really what Cassie is moving away from, since feminism's current form and tactics are a close subset of Leftism.

Every time I look and listen to Warren, I can't help but to feel that he would have to be one of the kindest, gentlest men on the planet.
But hey, this is what mens rights looks like, right?
    Pure misogyny lol.
Cassie, you have done what no one else in mainstream would dare, I respect you so much for this alone.
The backlash will always show how hypocritical feminism is, and always has been.

Its true - Cassie will ALWAYS be known for the integrity and fortitude it took to make and promote her film. This cultural insanity will move on, believe it or not, and when she is ever asked 'what did YOU do in the war Cassie?' she can hold her head up high. It was a great doco and I'm sure there's many more in her if she wants to do it again.

Damn right having a father in a stable relationship is important to the children.
So perhaps we should have our society and the legal system that steers it value fathers more, you can't blame men for weighting costs against benefits of marriage with a cool head.

I have tons of respect for Cassie. Wondering if she was lying about being a feminist isn't the issue. She really was a feminist. Learning that she is open minded and wants to work for true gender equality *is* the issue. It is the bravest thing she could have ever done.
I can understand the interviewer's concerns. He is thinking, isn't it convenient that Cassie was solidly a feminist and she changed her mind during the course of this documentary. Don't you think that is convenient? The documentary wouldn't be as cool if she was a men's rights activist the entire time. The fact that she changed makes it a more powerful documentary and a better story.
I can understand this line of thought, but you have to use your brain as well.
I mean, how many women outside of Karen Straughn are men's rights activists?
To think that Cassie was secretly an MRA the entire time is ludicrous.
Look at the backlash the movie has gotten. Look around you. Do you really need more evidence that people are against men's rights? Do you really need to be convinced that Cassie used to be a feminist with everything that she went through? She did feminist documentaries first. She experienced trying out for parts in Hollywood. She is a woman. She has every reason to be a feminist.
Many feminists are actively looking for signs that we live in a rape culture world. The idea that a feminist could search for the ugly rape culture world and try to expose it for a documentary is completely reasonable.
She has many fewer reasons to look at men's rights activism with an open mind. She did exactly that, though.
It is easy to believe that she was a feminist. She wasn't making any of that up. She experienced trying out for movies for crying out loud.
*The challenging thing for people is not being a feminist.* The challenging thing is to listen to the other side and have an open mind.
I have a lot of respect for Cassie. She could have ignored the men's rights activists she talked to. She could have searched the internet until she found men who make light of rape. She could have focused on real rape apologists. Unfortunately, there really are some legitimately sexist and misogynistic people out there. She could have ignored any voice for reason and equality and she could have just focused on the real rape apologists, but she didn't.
She could have still done the rape apologist movie she had in mind at the beginning. But she had the strength to do the right thing and to look at legitimate male problems.
I have tons of respect for Cassie. Believing that she was ever a feminist isn't the issue. Learning that she is open minded and wants to work for true gender equality is bravest thing she could have ever done.

Helena Do you think the current divorce and custody/child support laws need to be updated?

    • @anneb889
      @anneb889 6 років тому +5

Helena I don’t know if abolishing it is realistic, divorce will happen, but it should not be a whim. I swear I know some women who divorce solely over chores...really your ready to divorce and cause all that upheaval to your kids because he doesn’t to the dishes enough?
I understand for infidelity, abuse, addictions or mental illness...but with the later two see if willing to get help first.
And if divorce does occur there can’t be automatic women get custody, all the money, etc. times have changed so much, but the laws are still set in 1950. I don’t blame men for not even risking getting married...the system is rigged against them.

@Helena "not a movement, that's a just big selfish FUCK YOU ALL"
Most MGTOW I know work for charities, donate to good causes, and work on self-improvement. They act in their own best interest; that's not being selfish. They merely chose not to place bets in a game that's rigged against them.

    • @dreamingmusic3299
      @dreamingmusic3299 6 років тому +6

+ Helena - So MGTOW are selfish for protecting ourselves and looking after our own self interests because the world, and especially Feminists like yourself are actively seeking our destruction?
That's some very stout narcissism you have there.

    • @russiane.lection-hacker2057
      @russiane.lection-hacker2057 6 років тому +4

@Helena There's a distinction between being selfish and being self-interested. The former implies seeking personal gain at the expense of others, the latter just means seeking personal gain. Feminists are selfish; MGTOW are self-interested.

I'm grateful to Cassie Jaye for making The Red Pill--watching that film was my red-pill wake-up experience.
I don't see it as contradictory that MRAs are anti-marriage and also concerned about the necessity of fathers in raising children. The reasons MRAs give for avoiding marriage are about the legal risks involved, not the institution of marriage itself, or the idea of having a committed partnership. Myself, I'd marry and have a family, but only if I found a woman whom I could trust to not wield her state-backed power against me. And I'd rather forgo fatherhood than settle for a partner who would do that.

I think what you did is show that men have a different set of societal problems. That men aren’t living the good life at the expense of women. That our problems are the other half of the male/female traditional paradigm. I think Doug Stanhope said it best: Tradition is dead people’s baggage. Stop carrying it. I think a lot of people were taught that life is supposed to be awesome and they are unique and special. When they find out they aren’t, they need to blame someone other than the people who lied to you about being special.
