We have our own mimi- apple orchard here on our 80 acre farm in WI. Yes, and we do have Honeycrisp apples. Delicious just to eat them off the tree.
For the apple crisp my mom would triple the oatmeal, butter flour and brown sugar part and put 2/3 on the bottom than the apples and the rest of the oatmeal mixture on top. It is so delicious the oatmeal mixture on the bottom soaks all that delicious apple cinnamon juice. ❤😋

She’d also use the oatmeal mixture for blueberries, pear’s, peaches, rhubarb or cherry pie filling. They all were delicious. If someone called and asked if we were going to be home in the evening to come and visit she would whip up one of these and have fresh coffee or tea ready when they got to our house. 💕

You said don’t scoop the flour but then you turn AROUND AND SCOPP THE BROWN SUGAR LOL 😂
Brown sugar and flour are 2 different things. Most recipes call for “packed” brown sugar, which means to pack the measuring cup or spoon.

I used to enjoy baking, but Hidekun Hah says that baking is a men only activity. And because of that jerk, everyone at church misses my cupcakes. I wish I were a man so I could bake.
