I have 2006 Pontiac G6 GTP and my blower motor won't shut off even when my car is off. Would the information you discuss in this video apply for my car? Or do you have any suggestions? I was told to replace the blower motor resistor or the AC Unit itself.
The main reason why those blowers fail is because of the cheap plastic on the dash that dry rots easily (causing it to become extremely brittle). Fragmented plastic pieces will eventually begin to fall down through the vent and onto the blower motor thus wedging themselves onto the blower blades and rendering the blower inoperable. Sometimes fuses will blow because of the resistance. No other option but to remove the blower to clean out or replace.
When I turn my car off...... the blower comes on ? Why ? I have to unpĺug and plug back in when I want heat. Or when I turn car off, I un plug it. Any suggestions ? Thanks
My ac and heat won’t shut off it started doing it today it doesn’t run when the car is just running but as soon as you start driving the air starts coming out can anyone give me some tips on what’s it could be
Awesome Gonna try this do u know y the top gets stuck in the trunk and y the trunk won’t open U can hear the motor trying to bring it up but quits after a few seconds
Got a 2008 cobalt I'm having problems finding any videos to do with wiring on the blower motor fan switch. I've checked all fuses inside car and under the hood I've got power to all, however I don't have power the selector switch can someone please help
Have a substantial leak every time I make a turn water from ac almost feels like freon hitting your feet in liquid form think my ac plug could be clogged or something?
Hey Lehew! So I got my resistor replaced because it was burnt out and the blower worked well for a few days then stopped working. I checked all my fuses and they're fine. Do you know what else i could try to get it working again?
Just paid $232 to replace the motor resistor and apparently it was completely out of freeon but the same thing keeps happening my air will shut off goin down the road and then come back on again. I literally have my son kick underneath the glovebox and it comes back on. (Like there’s a loose wire). Now my top is stuck down n the trunk and u can hear the motor turning like it’s trying to bring it up but nothing happens. Do u know if there is any other way to get the top back up?
If only everyone gave such clear explanations on here. But you didn't mention how to remove the wire harness from the blower motor, furthermore no explanation of how to remove the fan itself. What you did explain was great but missed some needed parts.
Hey thanks a lot! I fix the blower with my Detroit screwdriver! Couple of snacks to the motor and it’s working again! Any info on how to get that motor removed?
Thanks bud was everything needed to figure the issue

Very cool so it’s my resister if it only works on four, and would be my blower fan if it sounds horrible on 1 but doesn’t blow?

The black wire on the fan goes to direct ground,or does it go back to speed knob

So what do you think is wrong with my car because the ac goes of or it doesn't blow cold at times until I mess with the stereo wires
No speed was working. Moved 2 wires to blower motor and it works now.

Sounds exactly like a clogged AC Condensation Vent Tube

So if it only works on high setting what do I have to do?

My 2008 G6 would have air blowing full blast sometimes even though no key is in ignition?
If anyone can help... Thank you.
