Man you saved my bacon! Shop wanted waaaay to much to change this out.For the price of a new fan, a razor and shipping, I got the chance to learn and expand some knowledge. Can't thank you enough!
So can i do this myself? Iv been having this problem. It was the fuse i see the hood but it just stopped again, i couldn’t remember which fuse it was. But now i know which one under the hood it was. If it’s not that fuse. how hard is it to do the rest
I would probably make sure the connector that plugs into the resistor is not damaged from over heating not allowing good contact with the new part. That would be the first thing I would look at. Next maybe new resistor is bad could happen or fan speed selector switch faulty.

What if resistor is replaced new fan did the same as old fan, and all fuses are good? The fan only works on highest setting or not at all

How did you change the fuse under the hood where can you buy those?
The fuse just pulls straight out. Use a pair of pliers. They can be bought at any auto parts store.
