One piece of advice I heard is that when your anxiety is at its worst, it is the BEST time to get on with your day. Instead of hiding under the covers on the couch, get out and DO SOMETHING! You will not feel like it obviously. But it teaches the amygdala over time that there is no threat. You have to TRAIN your primitive brain that there is no real threat and you are actually safe. The other key part is 'acceptance'. At the same time you are having high anxiety instead of engaging with it and fighting it. You accept you are having high anxiety and let it burn itself out. What will be will be, why try to fight it since it's going to happen no matter what. So you may as well ride it out and not attempting to 'fight' it. All the while continuing to 'live your life'. The hardest part when having an anxiety attack is stopping yourself from giving in to the fight or flight mentality of hiding from whatever is making you fearful. I always feel better once I have confronted the thing making me fearful. Whether that be a health issue or other external event. Of course the main issue is when you have to wait quite a while to confront a thing. This is where the 'OR' thing comes into play.

I totally agree, but how do you do that when your heart is beating so hard and you can’t focus on anything else and you feel like dying and feel every eye on you. I feel like I can’t take it anymore

How to master over observing. For example I think I am about to die. So how should I observe it?

Close your eyes, and observe it from the part of you that has already healed these types of fears. What would you see? See that.

Dennis, I've been following you for about 2 years now. I've read your first 3 books and am waiting for #4 to come out on Audible. I didn't join any of your programs, but doing what I've done has gotten me to the point at which I feel like I'm coming out the other side, anxiety free.
This is all to say that if one can't afford it or like me, wanted to take a slower path, the end result is still possible.
EVERYONE with ANY type of Anxiety should follow Dennis. Read his books. Join his programs.
    IT WORKS💪
    Anyone can do this!!
Much love to all and Thank You Dennis!!! ❤❤❤

I think the part about strengthening a thought really spoke to me personally, because I feel like I am at the point in my journey where I am able to tell myself that I am okay, and this will pass and that my thoughts are just getting the best of me. As well as implementing positive affirmations, but I find that they don’t “Stick”, it boosts my confidence temporarily, but i can’t get it to “lock in”. It makes complete sense to put some sort of emotion to it for it to stick with you. That is how anxiety stays with you, so the same must be true when you want to strengthen a positive thought. Thank you Dennis :)

Excellent video Dennis. I really do need this this morning 🙏🏻. I’m really excited for continuing my healing with ORS! The part about adding the power of OR at the end of the thought is what I’m going to start applying today, and also, strengthening it. I started it while watching this and got an amazing joyful feeling. So excited for this!

Hi Anxiety Guy , Great video Thanku very much.
I am suffering from OCD and Depression and Negative spikes of intrusive thiughts . I had a question hope you will answer it .
    1. Does these techniques helps for OCD also ? OR I need to categorize my stratergy to handle OCD thoughts Vs Negative spikes? If i do which i am doing kind of , always one stratergy feels aggrevate another disorder indirectly hence causing NULL effect ?
    2. Band technique : I am with you but not that i use but ya straight away negkecting the negative thoughts and not to fuel them . But again in OCD sometimes already spoder web has been established and this may not work ? And i continue to use two different stratergy for OCD ( already web is established and kind of nature of disorder ) and for pure negative thoughts fears?.
    3. Using OR technique i do kind of Inference CBT technique like its ocd tgoight is NEITHER true . Helps but does it not help to heal the OCD ? As i still find myself not facing fear and keep anxiety going ?
    4. STRENGTHNING :
Again it has to be done after doing 1 and 2 steps and not to reduce the effect of negative thought ?

This came right on time Dennis 👍🏽💯. I hate it and can't stand it. It all starts by identifying what it is and don't get caught up by obsessing your energy to it. It can be energy draining and a waste of time. People have different phobias like getting their vital signs like their Blood Pressure and weight. When in reality it's just anxiety giving false inaccurate reading. A fear of chemicals like Bleach, Gasoline ⛽, Spray Paint and etc. It's really just fear and psychological creation is main culprit. Exercise 💪🏽💯 and eating healthy Leafy Greens, Protein, Nutrients and etc. The Spider 🕸️ 🕷️ Webs are a nightmare and toxic people make it worse by giving BS solutions that does not do nothing. But escalate the situation even worse. Videos like these are helpful and informative for people like me. I'm still reading your book F Coping Start Healing now. It has some very amazing informative wisdom and knowledge. Life Lessons of Anxiety. Keep up the great work 🙌🏽💯 Dennis.

There is no balance in my life. There has never been a balance of emotions or anything in my life since my teens. All I've ever known is melancholy, dissatisfaction and worry. I've never felt "happy".... There were times briefly where I thought I could be optimistic about the posibility of being a happy person, but I've always had to deal with this on my own. I've tried therapy....There was only one time where I felt I was benefittibg from it....but I've never had the emotional support of family...never been in a long term relationship, haven’t dated a lot and I haven’t had a best friend in years.

Even though my mind tried to sabotage it by telling me that the other option (the negative) was more possible, I told myself in a loud voice with empowering pose that the positive thought I added instead was also an option and a better one. Hi Sarah, meme work, acting classes, daydreaming, grounding work, meditation can all contribute to helping with imagery work. Also, your intention is more important than what you see. So as you’re doing the reframing work don’t be too hard on yourself, your subconscious gets your intentions and the feelings that accompany what you’re doing.
