    Bombardier donated the Global 7500 to my school (Centennial College) a few months back, it is still sitting on the runway at their production line in Downsview since we are currently in quarantine. I can not wait to get my hands on experience in a on such an amazing aircraft. Still, I couldn't choose as of right now, but I can tell you is that the company is amazing!

      yea, with shorter runways the g7 has to take off, then make a stop into a longer runway to fuel up to go to another destination, due to fuel being a liquid and heavy, you need more runway to take off, which is a huge bug

    The Global 7500 can fly up to 8200 NM, it was a record set by the Global 7500 (Sydney, Australia to Detroit). I think the Global 7500 beats the G700 in almost every way. Price, Longer Distance Travel, Shorter take off runways, etc. I feel people would only get the G700 for the status. What do you think?

      The final still-air nautical mile range of the new G700 is yet to be determined and will probably be increased significantly by Gulfstream as testing/certification progresses! 7500 nautical miles is a ball-park figure for the time being, even though some aviation journalists are making a big deal over the Global 7500 having a 200 mile range difference! For that matter, even the Gulfstream G650ER has matched the Global 7500 in the over 8000 nautical mile distance on the same flight routes on at least two occasions that I know of (and used less fuel too)!! So, for those who are interested, just watch later on down the testing road for range increases to be announced by Gulfstream.

      When both are at full fuel the global 7500 can carry significantly more payload (people and baggage) than the gulfstream (Assuming both have the same weight in fittings installed). The global also needs less runway giving you access to more airports. The global maintains a lower cabin attitude which in conjunction with its soleil lighting system ensure you arrive fresher and less jetlagged than any other civilian jet out there. The global 7500 can also fly further and the layout is a lot more intuitive and in my opinion better thought out than the g700. For me there's no doubt which is the better plane. But gulfstream has the name going for it at least. So you can pay more money for an inferior product with better brand value.

    One very important aspect that is absolutely paramount to people buying a heavy jet is something that is never mentioned in these videos. The interior height of the fuselage. If it isn't at least 6'1" or higher the company is doing a disservice to their customer.

  • @stevesutton6093
    @stevesutton6093 4 роки тому +1

    As both a pilot and engineer I find both to be fantastic aircraft however the G700 can use almost maximum range when operating out of airports with a 100,000 lbs/45,000kg take off weight limit and the 7500 has to unload 15,000lbs/6800kg of fuel to meet that limit and thus its range is more like 5500 nautical miles which is a considerable operational limitation. Having flown and maintained aircraft from both companies Gulfstream has vastly better customer support in my personal opinion.

    G-700 all the way!! What you didn't mention is the cruise speed to travel max distance of both aircraft, or the cabin pressure altitude @ FL510 feet. G-700 cruise speed is Mach 0.90 for 6,400 nautical miles or long-range cruise at Mach 0.85 for 7,500 nautical miles. The Global 7500 doesn't even publish that info. The Global does not publish several items, Gulfstream does. Be careful, speed and conform is essential for when you arrive after a 10-12 hour flight, very important.

  • @kevinkeswick1243
    @kevinkeswick1243 3 роки тому +1

    This is a very close competition. In terms of styling the G700 has a big advantage with it's iconic trademark large OVAL windows. It's redesigned nose is also very sexy looking. That said the Global 7500 is no slouch in the looks department and it has what I consider a "beefier" tail and - just like the G700 - a great ramp presence. Arriving or departing a city on either of these beauties would be a great ego-trip!
    Interiorly the G700's big oval windows again give it an edge but other than that I found the Global 7500 interior to be more refined and inviting. The Global 7500 features much larger windows than the original Global Express so compared to the G700 it too also has lots of natural interior light.
    Specification-wise the Global 7500 seems to have an edge with better range and field performance along with a more advanced wing for more comfortable flight a big deal when you are spending 18 hours on a jet.
    In the end it is a tough choice but I would choose the Global 7500 because I am Canadian and the Global 7500 is made in my town although I probably would have picked the Gulfstream if it's tail didn't look so wimpy compared to the Global.

    The Global 7500 has a slight edge over the G700 in my opinion. It has slightly better range & better short field performance. The design of the wing allows for better low speed performance, & gives a much smoother ride (ie less turbulence). Additionally, I think Bombardier made significant effort in focusing on the finer details on the cabin interior. For example, they did extensive focus groups with flight attendant crews when designing the galley to make things more ergonomic & efficient. The finer details like having the tables deploy out of the side panels rather than from the top ledge so passengers wouldn't have to move anything (ie phones, books, glasses, or whatever) they have placed on the ledge before deploying the table.

    As someone who flies a G650ER, there is no question that Gulfstream is the superior product. Gulfstream always has been the superior product. Their customer support and service is second to none. When the G700 gets certified it more than likely will be an 8000 nautical mile or more airplane. The G650ER already flies 7500nm. I do think that the Global 7500 is a very nice airplane and probably the best Global they've ever built. However, it's not a Gulfstream nor will it ever be.

    I am an Chinese who moved to Canada and I definitely support Canadian manufacturing industry and companies, although they are sadly declining/acquired by other nations. In the field of private jets, although Bombardier's top products like global 7500 really has the leading performance metrics, including range/size and the take off distance, but they are lack of some unique selling points, some features that be implemented on Bombardier's jets exclusively...Eg. Gulfstream always boasts of its cruising speed/altitude and huge oval shaped windows, Dassault has tri-engines and fighter jets DNA...This problem makes Bombardier's jets less cool than Gulfstream/Dassault in some people's eyes and may bring down the marketing and sales performance...

    I like the interiors of the global 7500 test planes. I thought they looked quite elegant. Also I love it's wing shape and the 7700 nautical mile range. However the g700's cabin pressure and cabin noise will surpass the global 7500's. Also the g700's cabin height is 1 inch higher and 2 inches wider and about 2 feet longer than the global 7500. If money were no object I would indulge myself with both.
