When I was young my siblings 5 at the time went to see the cat lady, she put a kitten in all of our arms and sent us on our way.
When my Mum saw us standing at her door saying" Look, Mumma Kitties ,😳"
She sent us right back to return our fuzzy gifts!

When we were kids we used to go what we called cat hunting . We would buy a big bag of cat food and feed them on my friends back porch .I remember one time my friends mom went to her back door and there had to be 20 cats on her porch.

It seems like your younger chickens have more light in their coop. I wonder if the darker coop that the older girls are in is factoring into their decreased production. I know that it's generally accepted that production falls off after 2-3 years, but it seems like you are needing to turn them over faster than that.
