Blanche is my best clean, “laundry” (in a good way) scent. It’s relatively a long lasting fragrance despite its fresh nature.

@@sheybella2375 I wanted to buy Gipsy Water (due to the hype) and I got to smell it yesterday. It’s a nice and very light fragrance that I couldn’t smell it off the paper strip 10 minutes later. The search continues.
@@biggboi1967 Hello there, were you able to put it on your skin? It does smell different on the skin than the paper, doesn’t do it much justice. It’s not an over powering scent but a scent that wears nicely on the skin. 👍🏽❤️🌟
@@sheybella2375 no, I didn’t spray it on my skin. Supposedly the employees are not allowed to do this due to COVID. I’m not giving up, I’m going to try it again, and this time on my skin. If they don’t want my money I’ll go somewhere else.

Love the review. Just one note - tulips do have smell. If you have never been into a tulip garden or haven’t grown some and smelled only flower-shop ones, then yes, they don’t. But true tulips do and this scent manages to recreate it perfectly!

What a great review! Thanks for mentioning Blanche, one that I'm very interested in, but have no way to sample in my town. Your description of Blanche reminds me a lot of how Chanel No.5 L'Eau smells. It is unrecognizable as a Chanel perfume, with mostly a soft hum of clean laundry detergent musk in the drydown. Would you say L'Eau and Blanche are somewhat similar? Also, I love La Tulipe, and Rose of No Man's Land. Thanks for your wonderful detailed descriptions.

Out of plenty only pulp, oud immortel and cuir obscur stayed in the cupboard. BdA purchased twice and both sold, the same with 2 Baudelaire bottles, 1x Bullion, 1x La tulipe, 1x accord oud. Sampled mojave ghost, blanche, sundazed, black safron, gypsy water, palermo, rose noir, rose of no mans land and all either dull or reminding other better fragrances. I regret not buying 1996 just for my pleasure because the scent itself is quite sharp for the first few hours. Still one of my most favourite perfume houses. Go for it.

I have Gypsy Water and Bal d'Afrique. Bal d'Afrique is heaven! I love and I got a lot of compliments. For Gypsy Water, the opening smells like a Hall's Lemon Candy or a Lemon Cake. My problem with it is that I don't smell it on me once I spray it on my body. It's weird.
Does the Bal d’Afrique lasts long😩

You reviewed my favourites! Thanks so much but I have realised after purchasing a couple of the ones you mentioned that the sillage is poor and they do not last in my skin. And at that price well, I will not repurchase. I am still trying to find my signature scent, I used coco Chanel for years and got fed up because everyone used to identify and everybody had it, I want something that is more unique!
Yes, I had the same thing happen with the poor longevity on Byredo. I loved Gypsy Water. Is there anything similar that lasts longer?

Do you guys know a perfume from the 90’s called Nous Donne - it was a perfume created from the vial found in what they think was Nefertiti tomb . It was an amazing perfume or eau de toilette ?

@@sheybella2375 They're wonderful together! I find that Rose of No Man's Land to be the perfect one mixer. It gives just the right amount of rose without overpowering it. It goes sooo well with Bal D'Afrique too!
