Yes .. score wise ! They improved their visual .. where they been weak over the last several years . They have now improved their drill complexity etc and visual impact.. I agree . A little more in those areas and they will be ready to take it!
for me they are even gold this year ... following they early show with simply yellow/green t-shirts they have been amazing back then. love the Phantom concept and repertoire.
I feel like that should be the norm right? Especially with highschool bands. With college and dci it's always a given that the performance will be uploaded but there are so many unarchived highschool shows that will be lost to time because the director won't throw it on UA-cam
@@Martyr_0 I feel this, barely any of my high school shows were on UA-cam, the only ones that got uploaded were from me. I originally was going to upload those videos from when I was a member but 7 years later to this day, I try my best to record at least one performance from them to upload.
Phantom Regiment didn't just think outside the box. They grabbed the box, held it by its sparkling silver edges, and took us for a spin on it. I will be thinking about this show again, and again, and again.
Every time I hear the horn line at the end... just takes my breath away. One of the best closers of all time. Great drill, great performers, great uniforms... all of it. Great.
i never got to watch it live, so i was never able to feel that in the closer due to the poorly-balanced flo recording after watching their remix of it, i can say that that was by far the best closer probably since babylon for me, like no others come even close
I was up in the 600s in the front row and I just about threw myself off the top in excitement. Would've stood the whole show if it wouldn't have annoyed everyone
i sat in the VERY top right near the press box and the entire crowd was up for probably the last 2 minutes of the show. It was so loud, I couldn't hear the last like 30 seconds, I have genuinely never seen a crowd react like that in my life. Life changing lol
This recording has higher quality audio and video than the live broadcast. This doesn't sound compressed. It's fantastic! The crowd leaped to their feel a minute and half before the end where the Z pull started. I did the same thing here at home.
I love how the crowd was standing for a whole minute at the end. Thats how you know you have a phenomenal closer. It was amazing in person, I stood that entire time.
The mellophone players attacked their roles as if it were their life's work. Congrats on delivering this transformational product. Your passion will resonate for years to come.
Absolutely loved this show. Been a massive fan since the 80's. My father would have also loved this RIP dad. Keep going in this direction Phantom - SUTA.
Stumbled onto this by the name. Both of my brothers were in the Phantom Regiment way back in Rockford Illinois probably fifty plus years ago now. Jay and Tony Tortorici. This brought back some memories. Amazing.
As much as I have enjoyed this show all season long from the very beginning, the way your media staff told your own story on Finals night is one I'll treasure always! This show will go down as one of my Top 3 Phantom shows of all time, the other two being 1991 "Phantom Voices" and 2008 "Spartacus". In fact, the first time I heard the corps play "Fly or Die" with the AMAZING bass trombone and baritone soloists (especially with the vocoder effects), it reminded me of '91 Phantom's "Pagliacci" (the Maynard Ferguson arrangement). Phantom Regiment is the reason I became a drum corps fan at 15 back in 1980 and heavily influenced my desire to join Southwind in my hometown of Montgomery, Alabama back in 1981. For those reasons, I will always and forever be a PR Phan! SUTA FOREVER!!! (And I will truly miss seeing Keri McCourt conducting after these last two years!)
I agree, I told my wife after they played and saw them live in San Antonio that I think this is the best Phantom show I've ever seen. And I've been a fan for over 30 years! Great Show
I first saw PR in 1989 at historic Legion Field in Birmingham, AL., performing “From The New World... To A New Age"! I was 15 and I fell in love with not only PR but DCI as whole, but it’s been ride or die with PR ever since. I am 50 years old now and I go back and watch the shows from then and watch the ones from today and although I never had the honor of marching with PR, their music, their constant professionalism, class and consistency through the years have kept and always will keep me a Phantom Regiment SUPER Stan for life! Thank you to all who have marched and provided people like myself with a lifetime of memories!

Incredible show that was! When PR was in the Twin Cities that summer for a local competition, they performed their show in a standstill during the lunch hour in the heart of downtown Minneapolis. Melted face like there was no tomorrow. I could never understand why a corps wasn't scheduled every summer after that in that location. It provided such great exposure and was beyond thrilling to the hundreds of spectators.
This show was mynd-blowing! I was at San Antonio, where we felt every performer gave it their all and made an incredible connection with the audience. We, and I mean the whole crowd, were on our feet cheering at 10:40 onwards because the energy was so incredible! A testament to the uniquely awesome cathedral of ideas and artistry that is a drum corps show.
gosh that was fun. I called it early season, this is going to be a crowd fav and I was right. I'm so impressed with their development over the past 3 yrs. This is medal winning corps within the next few season's. I also love how Phantom Regiment is always able to transmit a bit of the gothic in their shows. It's not over done in this year's production although it is definitely there in the last few minutes. Wonderful sound and good guard work. really enjoyed them this year.
As an alumnus, its hard not to be proud of both the individual performers and of the organization overall. What a wonderful package, navigating both modern and traditional elements and delivering the power we all know and love. I'm sad I was only able to see it live once.
It has been some time since a show has captured my heart and mind. Overall, 2024 was a fantastic years for many corps, but this show, especially the closer, brings me to tears.
Thank you for this final edit! Have been a Phantom Regiment Phan since I first completed vs them in 1975 with Guardsmen (also from Illinois) I love all you do in all the years. This show is one of my Phantom favorites! This edit with the close ups reminds of the passion and power that my corps needed and all corps need to put on a great show! I'm getting older with ups and downs in my life, but gives me a boost is watching great drum corps. Mostly YOU Phantom Regiment! Thank you, love you always, and ... SUTA!!!! ❤😊🎉
This show manages to scratch some of my itch for the high-intensity drill of the 90s through the early 2000s, but it is still definitely a show of this era, and it looks (and sounds) like it’s worked extraordinarily well for them! If this is the direction they keep going, then I am SO excited! Keep up the amazing work!
Ngl if i was one of the two horns at the end who were in that shot that would be my profile pic on everything forever 11:27 the angle and the lights look so cool
so happy to hear such a nice remixing on the audio in this, been waiting for it! hope this inspires other corps to release remixed recordings, even if its only pay per view
That snare drum tuning (to a slightly wetter response) sounds great on the field.... Pearls continue to be the best sounding drums in the industry... but they're heavy!
There’s not many shows that get me emotional but this shows entire ending gets me to tears everytime. From the tribute to cadets, and the power of phantoms hornline. The best show this year hands down.
You yanks are absolutely phenomenal. I saw Ohio state on YT with their show on superheroes with the uncle Sam character running full stride to the centre! Brilliant! ❤️ From 🇳🇿
their shows always bring me to tears with how powerful they are, im still so upset i didnt get to see this in person because it rained at the stadium 😭
What a fricking fantastic show!!! Special shout-out to to bass 5 - that energy was EVERYTHING. 👏😂 I marched bass 5 at the University of Minnesota 2010-2012 (and as a 5'-2"-size-2 woman, lol) and absolutely LOVED seeing how hard you brought it!! Much love to all, and a huge congratulations on a truly phenomenal performance. ❤🔥
I love and respect the blue coats but like CMON HOW DID THIS NOT WIN?! The drill, the GE, the musical clarity, the musical diversity. UGH. I just love this show
Phantom’s winning it all in the next few years, I’m calling it now, also that drill writer needs a raise 😊
God I hope so I love phantom regiment so much they always impress me with their shows
Yes .. score wise ! They improved their visual .. where they been weak over the last several years . They have now improved their drill complexity etc and visual impact.. I agree . A little more in those areas and they will be ready to take it!

I said the same… great show
for me they are even gold this year ... following they early show with simply yellow/green t-shirts they have been amazing back then. love the Phantom concept and repertoire.
I love it when corps post their own shows
especially with the audio remix!

I heard this at Murfreesboro and this indeed blew my mynd. Especially that closer 👌
And those mellohphones god damn
Saw them perform in Denton and the hit was amazing, but the mellos entrance flattened me 🤩
WOW Phantom was SO BACK this year.
Phantom been back man. Back to back to back to back fan favorites. Thryve found the formula to make a crowd roar
9:24 love the cadets tribute from the basses
And also the Z pull at 10:40!
@@ryankim0874 - RIGHT
The fact that they got a standing ovation BEFORE IT WAS EVEN OVER
there was a decent amount of people standing as we entered the field, opening hit, and at the end if fly or die also
I was up in the 600s in the front row and I just about threw myself off the top in excitement. Would've stood the whole show if it wouldn't have annoyed everyone

at semis i was in the stands and everyone was standing from before the z pull until the end
Phantom Regiment performing Mynd and uploading on UA-cam. Very considerate. Very Demure. Very Myndful. Very Phantom Regiment.
All the best for 2025

Could barely hear the show over all the applause that night 🙏
Tilt finally gets knocked off the top of my list. Resume your throne Phantom.
Tilt & Mynd over Spartacus? I guess, lol, but yeah both those shows are definitely top 10
@@SinsterStrange lwk mynd imo is over spartacus, mynd was an amazing show and the standing ovation like ONE MINUTE BEFORE ENDING is wild

My dad used to judge drum corps. He introduced me to Phantom Regiment back in the 80's and I have loved them ever since. RIP dad 6/19/1991

The artwork for the video is actually insane! Keep up the good work Regiment!!!!!

The chord progression at 4:26 is a truly GOATed moment of the show! I will never get tired of playing it on repeat 🔥🔥
Thank you so much Phantom for continuing to make your shows available for all to watch. It is sooooooo so much appreciated!!
I I literally get goosebumps every time I watch the closer; the Mello sustain and the Z pull, just hit differently.
A recording where we can hear the brass in the end!!!! Best show of the year. Troop close second.

Yeah man
Hell yeah!
No doubt you’re proud of them, Chris! You’re as much a part of the story as any of us Phans are!
Phenomenal editing - great shot selection! Thank you so much for creating and posting this video. SUTA!!!
So much better than the flomarching stream! Can finally see how good the drill throughout the show
My only complaint is leaving out Keri’s SUTA on her glove, that was such an amazing pre-show moment!

This was my Favorite Show of Finals Weekend. Thank you so much for The Cadets Tribute with the Z Pull 10:40 and Bass Drums.
Been checking for this every day since Sept 1
from the beginning of the phrase at 6:21 to the cut off of the phrase that rung like the horns of heaven at 6:50 the hit of the ballad was gorgeous
