Hi Andy, we use a mix of monitors depending on the situation. We have a 7" Swit that is really bright and great for outdoor use. A 5 inch Ninja Blade and sometimes use a iPhone when using the Raven Eye on the Ronin. What monitor do you use?
@@TheCloudhillGuys I'm actually new to this whole thing! Currently in the midst of purchasing equipment and trying to learn as much as I can - which is why your video is super helpful! Does the Ninja blade work well with C70? Does autofocus and everything translate?
It is not too bad as long as your not filming for too long and have the opportunity to put it down now and then. We were filming for two days straight with it recently.
How do you hook up that monitor to the camera? Any recommendations on HDMI cables and placement? Can you power the camera straight from the ronin or use camera control?
If we are using the monitor we try to use and short but flexible hdmi cable 0.3 or 0.5 meter one like this amzn.to/3MBUIWH But we do also use the raven eye too with a mobile. We haven’t looked to power the camera from the RS2 yet, but we do use the record start/stop. But there is an issue with, which we will be doing a video about shortly
Great video, just wondering do you have an adaptor to use this quickly on a Manfrotto tripod? Trying to avoid having to put a new baseplate on when taking it off the Ronin?
@@TheCloudhillGuys I was just curious because I've heard that you should at times turn off the IS when using a gimbal because they tend to fight each other a bit.
Great job. Will have to watch this one several times.
Awesome, thank you!
great video in 2022... thank you
Very helpful, thanks! What monitor do you use?

@@andygarlich2056 I haven't found a screen that lets you use the touch auto focus, outside of using the Canon connect app.
Thanks - very useful information.
Glad to have helped
Hi do you know of the light on the handle when charging, after charging does the light goes off once charge completely?
Not sure to be honest
An update to this is that yes the charging lights do go off when it is fully charged

Thank you, well explained and easy to follow
Many thanks, if they is anything else you would find helpful let us know. Gary
Nice video, I have the RS2 with the R and a Ninja V and that to me already is pretty heavy. This must be a chore to handle

Is that a pro ? Cause it looks like it’s the only one compatible with the c70 according to DJI
Yes it is a pro

We do not. As once you have the camera balanced, that small connecting plate should end up in the same position each time
@@TheCloudhillGuys Thanks for coming back to me. Does that mean you swap the base plate if you want to put it onto a tripod?
So my biggest question is do you turn on the IS in camera while using the RS2 or is it better to leave the IS off?
That depends. It can help, but you will lose some of your frame as it punches slightly

@@RetroHawkProductions That is possible, very similar to using lens IS when using a tripod the lens cause shake looking for shake lol
