Nice to see someone that actually knows how to totally refurbish such things. Amazing to watch the attention to detail and every part of the rebuild process... Thumbs Up!
Love watching you work, it is very relaxing. Cool, calm, and collected. No music to irritate my ear, just the sound of tools working. Thanks Richard from Busselton WA
All my garage asmr videos perform the best, I think people are tired of listening to overdone music and love the natural sounds. Thanks for the feedback and nice comment :)
I like the shorts, but seeing all of them in a continuous video is fantastic. The attention to future rust prevention is thorough, and educational. Best of all is watching you fabricate and weld in new patch pieces. Your experience with metal work is brilliant! I look forward to seeing future videos of your work. Great to watch a bus being brought back to life.
Cool bus. I just recently bought a 62 11 window bus, thankfully it’s not to rusty. That’s a pretty epic door repair!!!! I restored a 67 13 window for a customer a few years back. You sure like a challenge, I will give u that.
insanely great work. I already have a door behind me with similar work. but it's only half as good as yours. it's the other's turn now. thank you for the great inspiration
If I had to do it all over Id use panel bond instead of so much spot welding, but its worth separating the outer skin to get it all cleaned up. Getting the hinges right is definitely the trickiest part. Good luck!
Congratulations for sharing your job! There are a lot people don't know how much is difficult to do it and fixed a sheet metal after years under corrosion attack and bad mechanic to fixed some parts!!! The time using to fixed the drive door trust me when to go fixed chassis and underbody coming a lot job !!!! Thank you!!! 🇧🇷🇺🇸 VW Beetle, Bus, air cooled engines!!!
Fantastic! Great work. I have a similar project to complete this summer, hoping it comes out as good as this. Looking forward to more of your videos! All the best.
Ive had a few doors practice to get this one right, it was the last door of the bus. Metal can be manipulated and shaped, if it doesn't fit right just keep working it until it does!
Enjoyed the video very much, in part, because I love the subject matter. But also, because of the wonderful camera work and editing. And, I too prefer the sounds of work rather than music. Well done, and thank you Brandon!
Subbed. Having resto modded a 55 Chevy Belair, I found this very satisfying to watch. Brought back a lot of memories, and taught me some tricks as well.
I really enjoyed watching your video. Takes a lot of time to set up the camera and then do the work without moving to a new position. The final result was perfect.
Very fine workmanship. FYI when chemical stripping place a sheet of 1.4 mil plastic over the top. It helps the stripper to penetrate deeper, and faster. It also cuts down on the fumes.
You are unbelievable great work it’s amazing what can be done to rusty cars especially with someone that knows what the heck they’re doing a great job my friend
Dude you are a master at metalwork, I had to do the same thing but I tool the easy way out and bought new skins and frames from Gerson. Still a lot of work getting the skin to look right but I love seeing your techniques. I learn something everyday by videos like this . thanks!
Im glad Im making long videos now, much easier to show the detail and process. The editing does take hours! But it worth it with how satisfying it comes out.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching you refurbish this door..I learned a lot, and you stepped through the process at a good pace, which provided a good understanding of what you were doing. I’ve done similar work in the past, but I did find a few tips in the video that I’ll replicate in the future!!
As usual, great job! And congrats on your first full video on the bus resto, I look forward to seeing more like this. Don't change your cinematics, I love your style of shooting and editing. Just a little tip, go to a VW meet and ask if you can take crucial measurements of the main body. Like the A to B pillar distance, don't rely on the IGP doglegs for measurements.
Watch a lot of these u tube ..build pages ..enjoy all ..but only a few out there who r Tru craftsman in the industrial area of pro restoration ..and ur up there ..great work ..skills an knowhows ..keep up the great work ..new to ur page ..I also built rods for 45+ yrs couple for big known hot rod shops ..and on my cars as well ..do it to it buddy great show
Nice to see someone that actually knows how to totally refurbish such things. Amazing to watch the attention to detail and every part of the rebuild process... Thumbs Up!
Thank you! I'm fairly new at this, but Im catching on fast and really love focusing on the details. Thanks for following along!
@@BrandonsBus new? I was about to ask if you didn't find it booring to do sheet metal repair at home also...😮
❤❤
Love watching you work, it is very relaxing.

Very good work! Simple really. Only one way to do it. Cut/replace.

The amount of work you did just to fix the door hinges was staggering, nice work.
Been watching your short videos.. great to see the extended version!!!
Nice video!!. An excellent equilibrium between details and fast motion. Thanks for no music, and no words.
Thanks! I’ll still voiceover sometimes, but I really enjoy this style video the most
Respect for your patience...I think in the end this bus will be better then when it left the factory...👌
How much love in that door. Amazing to watch. A journey.
Your work always blows my mind!. The attention to details is amazing.
You are the first UA-camr that I have ever seen make a great weld on a car body panel, great result 👍🏻🏴
The way you countersunk the door panel for the hinges is briliant
Thanks!

This looks amazing! I’m so exited to see more of this in the future. Keep up the good work Brandon! 😊
If only I could find a garage assistant I could do so much more! Ill have to keep and eye out for one.
This must be the best first video i ever saw on a UA-cam channel. I really enjoyed watching the shorts and subscribed.
I love this so much! Thanks for following along, I really appreciate it :)
Been willing you to make a full length video for ages. Great way to start
Thanks! Its been a ton of work switching from my normal short vertical videos but im glad i made the switch.

@@BrandonsBus thank you very much, yes, with the second one I'm smarter and separate the outer skin completely
Better than Netflix. Amazing work.
Thank you! 🙏🏼
Did the same job for 20 years working on buses and bugs.
Extensive time consuming job but how satisfying
Great craftsmanship 👍👍
The satisfying aspect keeps me coming back!
You are a magician with metal. I am impressed by your skills.
High Quality work.
How cool, a horizontal video 😉 I'll watch that later in front of the TV 👍🏻👍🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Still working on dialing in sound and and video quality so don't look too close! lol for real thanks for the watch and comment.
Brandon, this is what I call therapy. Amazing my man

You're dedication and diligence is very impressive...!
Not to mention your fabrication skill set.

Thank you! I think music can be distracting and annoying to some, but the sounds of restoration are always a favorite.
Love your short videos- gotta say I love the full videos even more! Keep ‘em coming!

I wish I could learn how to do a job like this. I like it very much! It's ART!!
I learned through trial and error honestly, anyone can do it, just need a lot of patience.
Awesome work
Thanks! Can't let another VW rust away
Solid work! Wish you all the best... 💪
Thanks!
Man, that’s alot of work!!! Well done to the max. Great video!
Very fine workmanship. FYI when chemical stripping place a sheet of 1.4 mil plastic over the top. It helps the stripper to penetrate deeper, and faster. It also cuts down on the fumes.
Yes! Fantastic tip, it really does make it work better.
@BrandonsBus it's a 40 + years as a Journeyman painter trick
Nice work! Excellent camera placement - really shows what is involved with bringing back a worn/damaged part. 👍
You are unbelievable great work it’s amazing what can be done to rusty cars especially with someone that knows what the heck they’re doing a great job my friend
Still making the best videos.
still writing the nicest comments :)

That’s a really good idea, I need some measurements. The samba.com has a few references that I’ve been using too. I really appreciate the comment!
Excellent work man.
Thanks! On to the next one... you know how it is.
Just found your channel, great videos I’ve hit that like button 😁
Sweet! Glad you like it! More videos coming :)
Nice video, great capture of your work. 👍🏴
Thanks! It is time consuming to set up each shot but its so satisfying in the end!
Well done Brandon. I used to restore Datsuns
And that’s just one door 😅😮. Great work
It's good to see people restoring Vehicles instead of bragging about how nice they're rusted up patina lazy man repair looks.
Very well done. Nice production values!
Thanks! I really do enjoy the filming & editing process.Thank you for watching :)
Hope to see more and more of this awesome work bringing this bus back to life you do amazing work keep it up my friend..
