Nice techniques. Is this a white wash? I thought white wash is with white water down white paint or white glaze. This is more like dark glaze or antiquing technique. Thank you for tips.
For Jolie Matte Finish Paint, at least 30 mins-1hr depending on humidity! If you are not in a rush, you could even wait until the next day. You'll know when its dry because the color will be all even and it won't feel cool or wet.
Did you seal the light colour before doing the wash?

Yes that is a wash technique (watering down the paint) ! This is just showing you, that you can do it in other colors than white
You can mix any chalk paint 50/50 with water, brush it on and wipe it off.

Absolutely! Just paint in thin coats and make sure. Each coat is completely dry
