*DISCLAIMER* Turns out I got something wrong here - the Meteor II is apparently an Orange-voiced amp, rather than a Marshall clone! I blame my ears, as it sounds Marshall-ballpark to me. Anyway, I'm leaving the video up for now, as the sounds are all still there, and the rest of the specs/features/analysis still stands. Thanks to those who pointed out the mistake to me! I bet they would too... I wonder if Joyo would want to send me a Jackman to have a go with as well. Would make an awesome video, trying them in stereo too!
@@RichWordsMusic Yes the Jackman would complement the meteor in a great way. I'd guess, that your style of comparison approach could help to choose between the Jackman and the meteor.
Hello. Can the BantAmp be used without connection to the speaker output and without connection to the headphone output at the same time, without harming the amplifier? Would the amplifier suffer some kind of damage at the moment or in the long run? I want to output the signal through the amplifier send to an audio interface to record the signal without cabinet emulation so that I can use my custom impulse responses, and at the same time I don't want to have headphones and/or speakers connected for a while, can this be done without damaging the amplifier? .Great video, great tones.Thank you
Hi Juan, thanks! Glad you enjoyed my video. I am not 100% certain about that, so I would recommend you ask Joyo themselves. (My personal belief is that this would be no problem - this amp is not an old-school tube amp that always requires a load connected. But still, just to be sure, drop Joyo a message!)
@@RichWordsMusic Ok, I understand. I sent several E-mails to Joyo with this question, but I have not received an answer or response from them yet, so I am forced to go to other users as an information source. Thank you for your answer and congratulations on the channel!
@@juanrogelrodriguez8285 OK, in that case I will try this out sometime and tell you what I experience ;) I am not a fan of brands not responding to questions like this. And thanks, glad you like the channel :)
Ooh, between those two if it's only the amp, I'd say the Meteor. But... if you have a drive pedal, I would say get the Tweedy and use the drive pedal for the hard and rock metal sounds! That'd be a more flexible setup and it's a clean channel I prefer too. But if it's only an amp you're after, Meteor it is 😎
The MeteOR is a Orange clone and not a Marshall amp. The JaCkMan amp is joyos JCM clone. Thats why they mark the letters in bold in theyr amp names. Clever way of telling what kinda amp sound its based on. Funny that you didnt mention the Micro terror as an alternativt to this amp. But yeah, seems like a Great modern amp with bluetooth and fx loop. Nice Review 👌
Well, after a little bit of online research... of course you're right! I suppose I should've checked this before making the video - but my thoughts on the amp stay the same. It sounds like a high-gain Marshall to my ears (and I must admit, I don't have much experience with Orange). I will leave the video up anyway because the tones are still useful to hear, but I'll put a little disclaimer in the description. Thanks for the tip! And yes, whatever it is, it's a great little amp ;)
I know what you mean... these days even the really cheap amps (and pedals, and guitars) are getting closer and closer to the big brands. It's a great time to be a guitar player on a budget, that's for sure! Joyo stuff is simply great for the money.
Dual channel beast from the east. Footswitch included, shouldn’t that be the standard at this point? Your not fooling anyone by selling it separate, it adds packaging and a host of other costs for a minimal profit item.??? I love these lil roosters they really shine through a nice cab.
Yeah, it's a great little thing! The Tweedy is too. Both LOUD as well! They love my H&K 1x12 with the Creamback. And yes, a thousand times yes - footswitches should always come as standard in all cases like this! I'm sure people would be happy to see an extra few dollars added to the price for that as well. I would say I don't know why companies don't do it... but then, I've worked in the business for over 10 years and I know exactly why ;) Ah well.
@@RichWordsMusic price point barriers, it’s funny if you raise the price just enough to be the bottom of the next rung or vice versa and drop it just enough … sales increase for a bit 😂 Edit, raise the price and lower the quantity enough and they’ll buy it because it’s expensive no matter what it actually does 😂
@@PooNinja Exactly! There are some brands that live off of that philosophy. Not just in the world of amps and guitars either. Perhaps we are the suckers for falling for it every time ;)
Is it good for a sloppy, sucky player like myself? Like that old Steppin Wolf song Sookie, Sookie. Only for me they be singing; “sucky, sucky, sucky, sucky , sucky, sucky, that’s you!” (Me of course, not you)
Ha ha, well I have to admit I am not the world's tightest player either! The good news is, this amp is pretty tight if you set it that way - but it's also pretty forgiving. So I think it's going to be a good choice for slop ;) It definitely doesn't punish imprecise playing in the way some amps do. Try one out if you can, and I hope it does work for you!

That's it ,I am ordering Lightspeed.
The best decision you'll ever make! That pedal always makes anything sound better, at least for me. Go for it!
