I admire your dedication to saving this sacred machine! Gotta save them at all costs and keep that old iron on the road because we grew up with them! Nobody likes getting sent to the scrapyard! I also have an old car, a Romanian 1993 ARO 244 which I plan to fully restore, from ground up, and it needs floor rust repair clinically just like your E39. I'm saving up for a TIG welder because I heard they do a seem less job if mastered. I wish you best of luck with your work!
Thank you so much. Well, it is a long and hard way, but it will be worth it. As soon as it hits the road. Sorry, I had to google your car. But I like it. Seems like a robust and easy to work on car. But I can imagine that it has a bunch of rust damages. Especially when the preowner drove on some backroads. I really would love to see it finished or the process of that. If you want to, you can hit me up on Instagram @thee46guy (maybe we can share some knowledge) I wish you best of luck too :)
@@TheE46Guy Also, on that engine that refused to start, ut's worth checking the DISA valve o-ring seal, and idle air control valve, it should rattle freely, if not, it's stuck and needs some wd 40
@@laurentiu.panait2536 Thanks, I've checked the DISA, it is holding air (the flap won't move, when blocking the vacuum port on the DISA). The DISA was also pretty hard to get out or in, so I think the big O ring was tight (It also looked fine). I've also took out the Idle air control valve, shaked it a little bit and it sounded like a rattle instrument. It was also fine... Still thank you for your knowledge. I am really stumped...
@@TheE46Guy Change all your 3 position sensors to oem junkyard and do note their position with some nail paint for inatke, exhaust, cam. Keep trying to revive the pulled put engine
