Yeah I think we all have our preferences and if it makes us happy then that's all that matters. Shimano is hard to beat in my opinion. Love their reels!!!
That type J looks very good. Also that's one of my favorite stores for tackle and fishing supplies. I know brother, one time I spent half my check over there in like 40 minutes. I'm more cautious now, but a great store, your absolutely right. Hope to see you on the water. Went to Seabrook yesterday and tore up some reds , black drum, and flounder. It was great bro. Til then ...Tight lines never stop!
I like the Shimano Convergence rods, there cheap and nice $70-$80.Also the Academy h2o ethos rods are really good $100.00 range.I've never spent more than $150.00 on a rod.
Do they even make them rods anymore? Both of mine were stolen and I've never been able to find them again.. Wal-Mart use to sell them as well and there price was $65.00 not a bad rod what so ever
Congrats on the new "tool", she looks like a Winner! Hey a thought - am wondering HOW you secure your equipment so if you "turtle" it's not a total loss - how about a video on it?? There are those of use who have never taken a bicycle in the surf... I'd likely be a train wreck! LOLOL
Maybe set up a "Special Series" for us "greenhorns" to learn from. Traveling around the country and fishing taught me is no matter where you go or who you meet, there's always something to learn that can make other locations or styles of fishing even more productive. Now I'm thinking about a flexible solar panel...or maybe a generator that works off your propulsion drive..... hmmmm..... LOL I just love fish'n! ~TL~
You should check out the Cousins IM-8 Graphite Series Casting Rods that’s all right I just paired my Shimano Calcuta conquest 100. They are great rods I’ve had mine for three years they have great components and they are made in the USA
I don't care to much for the Zodias. It's a good rod but a little stiff for my liking. The Expride is light years ahead of it. Out of the two i'd pick the Expride. But hindsight being 20/20 I would've saved the money and spent it on a custom rod.
Thanks for the update. I was thinking about a custom rod, too. What power and action did you get with the Zodias, Medium Fast? I wasn’t sure which one you actually picked.
I love your videos but I have to tell you that all of my reels, poles, and tackle don't add up the cost of your reel that you showed us in the case! LOL. Keep up the great videos.
every rod has the ability to catch, so there's nothing wrong with what each of us decide to use. You're a smart man because everything in the fishing world is designed to catch the angler not the fish.
I also own $40 rods that I still use regularly. I don't own a lot of setups but I take great care of the ones I have. My $40 ones are 20+ years old. They're what I started out with and as time goes by I've been lucky enough to buy some of the finer ones I enjoy using now. All rods catch fish and I think we should all enjoy what we're fortunate to have.
I need to start watching these as you post. You were sneaky.. I just now found out you bought a rod
Shannon DLR haha is this your wife?
shimano tranx is made for offshore but you can use the tranx300 for inshore really good reels and quality
i understand how you feel with the price lol, i’m a loomis and shimano reel guy

yep i love my chronarch 151 ci4+ and the curado k
I love ftu i can spend a lot of money
I love the Zodias line, I have about 5 of them. Congrats and good luck with it
Thanks! It looks like a great rod! Still waiting to catch my first fish with it.
MDLR Fishing hey man do you still love it im thinking about buying a ML zodias for drop shots

Ahhh... I might need to visit there again soon.
MDLR Fishing, let me know and we cab meet up. Tight lines never stop!

Nice looking rod
Thanks, i'm dying to use it but all this darn rain.
I was in a store today and that Zodias does look awesome. I am seriously thinking about pulling the trigger on it.
It's a good rod, you won't be disappointed.
That’s where I bought my hobie Outback.
Welcome to the Hobie family!
I’m new in this Chanel I like your videos men keep going
Thanks for the support!
Congrats on the new "tool", she looks like a Winner!

That's a good idea. I was also planning on doing a video on my anchor setup for BTB.
Maybe set up a "Special Series" for us "greenhorns" to learn from.

How are you liking the Zodias after a year of use? I was thinking about that and the Expride.

Hey bud how do you like the zodias? I’m thinking of purchasing one for my arsenal. Thanks man
It’s a decent rod. I feel it’s overpriced though.
Shoulda put me in the video bud! Nice meeting u mark
Good to meet you too!
I love your videos but I have to tell you that all of my reels, poles, and tackle don't add up the cost of your reel that you showed us in the case! LOL. Keep up the great videos.
Acctually i like the daiwa rods action more than shimanos,i don't know maybe is personal preference but the daiwas feel more alive
That place is awsome
I live here in Dickinson Texas and I fish all the time
I’m thinking about buying that exact rod. Does it have a pretty fast tip?
Not really. I stopped using it because of the beating it put on my wrist. All day casting took its toll.
Been in FTU, nice store!
Did you end up getting the 7'2 M? I'm on the fence about getting it.
yes, it's a good rod but i'd prefer a ML
MDLR Fishing is it to heavy? Or too much back bone?
Way to much backbone for my liking and not enough flex at the top.
I have this rod but in Heavy Action. How can a $200.00 rod not have a hook keeper? :/
I thought the same thing.
thanks for showing me those prices I'll make sure to stick with walmart. . haha
lol
Good video
Nice video. No way in hell I would pay 300 for a reel or a rod.
every rod has the ability to catch, so there's nothing wrong with what each of us decide to use. You're a smart man because everything in the fishing world is designed to catch the angler not the fish.
Wow ..$399.00...My Ugly Stick cost $49.00 and I have caught tons of fish on it....
I also own $40 rods that I still use regularly. I don't own a lot of setups but I take great care of the ones I have. My $40 ones are 20+ years old.
