- This was a tough one to make. The Apache RTR 160 4V was our favourite for a long long time till the N160 came our way. But that’s not where the 160cc story ended. Recently, the Xtreme 160R got the 4V dose and it feels better than ever. Which one should you really go for? Varun Painter, Karan Singh and Ananya Awasthi get together for a discussion.

N160 feels like the best overall package. Perfect Mix of Sport and Practicality with eleganmt looks. The Design will age well.
With powerful led headlights too ❤
But end up with 2 valve engine
I have 15 years old Unicorn, bought with my first salary. Renewed it this year and will ride for another 5 years, no doubt. Full tank gives me a range of 550KMs, carries my whole family of 4. I transported whole electrical and plumbing materials for my house, transports groceries, rations etc etc etc and never got me stuck in the middle of roads. What more one needs? Hey koyi jo itna muje pyar karne waala? ❤
Unicorn is the daddy of the segment, full respect
What's your opinion of newer Honda 150-160 cc .
I too want a reliable bike. Don't mind spending big bucks on maintenance once in a while.
But I want quality parts that won't break down frequently once replaced.
My pulsars shock absorber was replaced recently on it malfunction in 2 month.
@@pranayjadhav3242 Because of the new BS norms the companies are forced to make more lighter bikes to satisfy our “kitna deti hey?” mentality. As a result, the longevity of the plastics and other materials have gone down. Don’t expect new bikes of any companies to last longer. Old ones are the true daddy.
That too came with a monoshock back then
😢
It's been almost 2.5 years since I bought Xtreme 160R and so far, I'm loving it. It's not the best if you have a pillion often accompanying you, but for solo rides, I love it. The maintenance is easy on the pocket, gives me 45-48Kmpl even with some hard revving.
umm why bro? is pillion seat too short?

And one thing to add, majority of people compare MT with Apache 160/200s just because they're more performance oriented bikes than anything else in the class and my intent is that, TVS makes amazing bikes despite having less experience compared to hero and bajaj for that matter. So i have huge respect towards TVS and I just love Apache ❤

Apaches are the worst looking bikes in india.. they just don't know, how to design a machine.. even the rtr310 is also ugly..
Bought N160, 7 months ago. And I am satisfied with the bike, it provides overall a good package.
Pros:-
1.) Best in class brakes
2.) Clutch is super smooth
3.) I'm getting a mileage of around 45 - 50, which I consider to be good.
4.) Meter console provides you almost all the information you need.
5.) Most powerful headlights in 160 cc segment.
Cons:-
1.)The bike sometimes feels noisy, it's maybe the chain noise.
2.) This bike has a problem of false neutral, although it's rare but is irritating.
3.) It doesn't have bluetooth connectivity, but I think it's of no use and many people who have this feature in their bike doesn't actually use it.
Thanks for the 18 minutes of not settling a debate!
Its so close at the top. Its one of the most competitive classes in India.
Yes, it is!!
Guys you are fighting like us....still there is no answer
@@powerdriftofficial it would have been nice and proper if you have considered the mileage and pillion comfort as well. Any idea about figures about mileage which you can share with us?which is most economical among the three?
I think they said that all the bikes are too close and that's a good thing. You need to test ride and see what appeals the most to you. You won't be wrong if you choose any of the three. I think you might want to consider other parameters like servicing centre distance, etc.
Im really looking forward to ride the Xtreme 4v after it arrives in Nepal, Possibly in the national auto show coming in next couple of weeks. The 2v actually barely sold in Nepal. Ive seen like 2 till now but that may have been due to the import ban a while back as well. But this one seems like it will definitely sell a lot here. Just looks like a well rounded bike, has the best look in the segment imo, the ease of having good and cheap service network, has the performance, lightest among them all as well, seems like the rider triangle is also really good for city riding and I am really liking how wide the handlebars are.
But if the karizma is good, I might just wait for that bike over the 160. Lets see how the unveiling goes tomorrow. I cant believe hero is making me excited about their bike launches, who would have thought.
Hero's really stepping up their game. Waiting for the Karizma to be released here.

xtreme 160r is light wt, reliable, faster , best mileage , usd forks are looking best those who want can go to it
I will choose the xtreme, because it has the best low speed ride quality.others two are having firm ride quality, plus it is the best looking among three bikes.
That's a good enough reason sure.

Bro what's milege and top speed of hornet 160
The rear seat of xtream is extremely uncomfortable… Btw one thing about N160 that no one talks about is that the rear tyre throws insane amount of mud towards the rider and pillion in wet roads.
Bajaj should have provided a better designed mud guard for the rear tyre.
There's a single seat version too. And the N, we felt it was okay. Probably our gear told a different story.
that single seat version is improve comfortable
It is comfortable. I have purchased xtream 4v last month ❤❤
I own an N160 and I have to admit, N 160 is a hassle to clean and the lower parts get dirty very quickly.
I try to avoid riding it during rain in city primarily because of its weight but on highways it's a gem in any condition
It's comfortable, try mt15 pillion once you'll realise how much better it is

The ride modes in the rtr are surprisingly functional. There is a clear difference in how the motorcycle behaves when you use them. Its more responsive in sports mode and very tame in urban mode. It rides like a race machine in sports mode and a regular 150cc commuter in urban mode.

At different places its different behavior. The Bajaj showroom where I bought my bike are extremely understanding and co operative. Its the only one in the city and its good.
At the same time I have had issues with both the Yamaha sowrooms in the city least co operative, Only treat u good before purchase and once the deed is signed they stopped giving a fck.
