    Same I'm learning this for my grade 8 Trinity as well, and it sounds lovely.

    This is beautiful! I'm learning this piece for my Grade 8, along with Rondo and my own composition. This will really help in improving my interpretation! Thank you so much :)

      If ur playing the rondo I suggest you even learn the allegro that preludes it. It’s real fun ☺️

      @@xavier9062 a new adventure looks easy enough once you get the chords(that shouldn't take long)
      This one slips off the fingers easily so this as well
      If u have good rhythm then armandos rhumba
      The andaluza isn't too hard either

      Is there a site in particular where I could review this piece, before I purchase? Where did you find yours? For an exam too :) Thanks

    How many takes does it typically take you to get a recording you are satisfied with?

    • @jillmortonpianist
      @jillmortonpianist  2 роки тому +15

      Good question! It really depends on the piece. Sometimes only 2, sometimes a few more. Sometimes, I'll record one day, listen back the next and then decide I need to do it again as I don't like my interpretation!

    Hi Jill, question, in bar 10, does the second note of the right hand or left hand play first... The syncopation is confusing!

    • @jillmortonpianist
      @jillmortonpianist  Рік тому +1

      Theoretically it should be the RH to play first. Yes it can be tricky, but it’s worth persevering as it’s a great piece!

    Hi Jill!! Need some help please....my left hand cannot stretch fully to play the last two chords in bar 9.....how do I approach this for the exam?

    • @justmobilegaming6381
      @justmobilegaming6381 2 роки тому +8

      You’re allowed to arpeggiate them

    • @TanyaZener
      @TanyaZener 2 роки тому +2

      @@justmobilegaming6381 Yeah, you could just arpeggiate them by quickly clicking the highest note of that chord, while simultaneously holding the pedal.

    • @jillmortonpianist
      @jillmortonpianist  2 роки тому +4

      Yes, just arpeggiate them from the bottom note making sure you play the RH chord with the top note of the LH. Good luck!
