This is so amazing, played with real feeling
Gorgeous. Wonderful composition played so beautifully, just perfect.
Thank you for your kind words. Madeleine loved dancing - and when I hear this music I can imagine her in her garden, in the twilight, the moonlight, moving to the music she created. Do you have a favourite Dring piece? Ro Hancock-Child
wonderful composer - new discovery for me..
I may only be 17, but this piece still continues to be amazing, should be learning this for my grade 8 piano soon, but clearly my title as the true piano man, should go to you! I hereby appoint you THE PIANO MAN.
Finally, first soulful performance of this beautiful, majority perform mechanically and very rhythmically, which totally destroy this music. This challenge your musical maturity and freedom of your expression of inner thoughts and feelings. It's philosophycally beautiful ❤
Thank you so much. Soulful, yes... Your kind comments mean a lot to me. Ro Hancock-Child, pianist, biographer of Madeleine Dring
I’m playing this song

I have a friend who's 14 who can play this piece really well.
lol im 21 and i play it terribly xD
@@prawn4527 Keep practising - and take it gently. Give yourself lots of time and space to think. Thank you so much for playing Madeleine's piece. :-) Ro Hancock-Child
Hi Peter! Thank you for your point of view. I based my interpretation of Blue Air, here, on Madeleine Dring's own recordings of her compositions (I have archive material not commercially available.) It was approved by Madeleine's widower too. If it were taken any faster, some of the details e.g. the rapid upward run, would be very difficult to execute, I feel. Ro Hancock-Child, biographer of Madeleine Dring.
Beautifully played. I am enjoying learning this piece and found my way to your recording. I have not previously come across the work if Madeleine Dring, but loving her music. Trying to find a sheet music copy of Valse Francais for both piano solo and duet but cannot seem to find it published anywhere? Can you help please? I would love to be able to play more of her music. Have just sent for second hand copy of Biography. Thank you in anticipation. Lynne from North Wales UK
Thank you so much Ro for your contact. Really enjoying learning this piece.. And now have your book on the Biography of Madeleine Dring to read and Valse Francais score too!
Bless you, what a lovely comment ! Thankyou. Ro Hancock-Child x
Cant play like this so well.... :(
This reminds me a little bit of the old Perry Mason Theme....also written in a minor mode.

Hello Piano Man, are you talking to the composer of this piece, or the performer ?
I know this set of pieces very well and I find this performance of 'Blue Air' whilst technically sound, somewhat laboured, perhaps a little too slow but principally lacking in the essential levels of expression and feeling. Sound is hard too but this could be the recording.
