Last video I purchased a Raspberry Pi 4 today I’m going to try and optimise my Raspberry Pi Minecraft experience and try to get the MAXIMUM frame rate possible, lets just say things got a little bit hot..
Hope you are enjoying this new series on my channel using this Raspberry Pi and it is a really interesting small form factor computer that runs Debian Linux called PiOS. I went with a Raspberry Pi 4 with 4GB of Ram, 64 bit Quad core SoC and a 32GB Micro SD Card. In this video I do all of the FPS Boost settings and Minecraft FPS Optimisations which you guys suggested to me in the comments of my last video. Including MultiMC, Prism Launcher and Using Sodium and Fabric on the latest Minecraft 1.19.3 version!
I show how to install minecraft on a raspberry pi and show how it performs in my last video I installed Lunar Client on a Raspberry Pi and it didn't run great and the Raspberry Pi got very hot. However I now have a cooler installed so let me know if you want to see me overclock my raspberry Pi and Get 64 Bit PiOS installed for even more performance.

I do not own the music in this video

And yes, x64 Systems are definitely an improvement. They help access stuff faster and improve your fps. Because x64 is about like 3x faster than x86 (x32)
@Mark Rayers sry
Expected it to be double not triple XD
Use an x64 system and bedrock. That alone should get 60.
Personally i was able to get 100 fps 720p fullscreen with 8 render distance and max settings on my pi4 so there's definitely a lot of performance still on the table
Things i can recommend:
Overclocking (Do note that every pi is different, what works for me or others may not work for you and vice versa, Try tuning your overclock to match your board)
Using a 64 bit distro (64 bit distros seem to have better minecraft compatibility from my testing and generally i had great performance on arch linux)
Using proper cooling (Your pi will overheat so make sure to keep the temps down as it will throttle it's performance to keep itself from burning up)
Using the correct graphics drivers (Raspberry pi os used to enable the software rendering driver by default, you can switch to the KMS driver in /boot/config.txt)
Use an older version of minecraft (Newer versions of minecraft are more demanding to run so i would suggest you stick to 1.16-1.12 anything older or newer will have worse performance)
You dont need to play on small windowed mode. Just turn on full screen and turn down the game resolution. If that doesent work turn your monitor resulution down. Also if u really want to get the maximum fps just load up a empty flat world with the "gamerule" entity spawning off- u can do that by removing the blocks from the flat world preset and remove the entitys by command or from the game rule tab before creating the world (only in older versions). Hope this helps.
I tried to turn down my monitor resolution but it messed up the recording so I had to cut it unfortunately, I didn't realise you can spawn into a world with just the void I might give that a try, thank you.
Hand cam
We can see with hand cam also :)
@@NotroDan its calked void preset im pretty sure
Nice video notro
Keep it up :)
You can go into fullscreen mode and then select a rendering resolution of 640x480. It should give a better framerate than the 854x480 windowed mode res you were running.
Yooo!! Thanks for featuring my friends mod! (Adrenaline)
Don't use biomeblend it's makes you lag a lot more
I would definitely try the 64 bit raspberry pi os in a future video.
WELL POV Notrodan:HOuse burning down
I have accutually played in windowed mode like this video for the past 2 years lol
Same bro 💀
Install sodium extra and reese's sodium option, they basically add more setting to sodium(including one for displaying fps).
thanks that helped me alot
Where is the continuation of this? I need to know what the maximum performance is!
If the PC is getting overheated I recommened to put the max framerate at 60-120 fps. Nice video!
Yeah for sure, I was just trying to push it to the max in this video haha
NotroDan, you can go on settings, video quality, more options and show fps
If you’re using sodium, press CTRL+P while in the sodium video settings screen, and it should take you to the normal Minecraft video settings screen, then you’ll be able to change the resolution of the game.
For viewing fps and changin more fps settings, install the sodium extra mod.
Nice video keep it up
I had an ICE TOWER cooler by 52Pi on my Raspberry Pi 4, I was able to get it down to 20C on idle in hot Alabama summers
idea: install a custom OS on your raspberry pi (i know ubuntu works). i would love to see how that would go :)
That Raspberry Pi cooler probably doesn't even need a fan on it. The heat sink itself will add enough thermal mass.
You can set the fan to come on when it reaches a certain temperature which is something I didn't show, so it's only there as a last resort if it gets REALLY hot
I just noticed this but when he said subscribe at the beginning the subscribe button did a little animation
yes it's a new feature in youtube, if he says like too it will also glow a little bit.
the cooling will not help performance in short time but it will help if it heats up then it will get cooled and have less performance drops
Ain't no way this mini pc better than mine💀
Use a square fan that activates when the raspberry pi gets hot
I wonder why Prism Launcher doesn't work. It's based on MultiMC, but it does have a lot more features such as downloading single mods.
in sodium, fullscreen and press shift + p and decrease the fullscreen resolution
Can u plzz try using cloud client in texhnix client to from the ultimate client btw bigfan
Good video
Notrodan can u do a video how to more fps on 2011 mac
try prism launcher when you can, it's by far the best launcher out there
Thank you SO MUCH for making this video! It was very interesting to watch, especially since Minecraft was running on that tiny little thing.....
I agree!
try overclock and very effective beefy cooler my guy
Use the additive mod pack on modirith. 1000 fps
can you try Ghost spectre
We want to see it in 64 bits
Hi notro dan
so 1 question is adernaline client available for windows 10 for tlauncher 1.19
When the cheapest smallest pc runs better than my big pc 💀 😢
Install fabulously optimized it has over 100 performance improving mods
What is your resolution?
in my pi go to 150fps the 1.12.2 480p , with optifine and SSD 25fps with shaders chocapic lite. in 720p go to 60fps and shaders 10fps cpu 1,8ghz , 2gb ram and a cooler of pc 12V. , full screen . in 1,17 + is more heavy the game . 1.10 to 1.16.5 run fine. sorry my english XD ( the shadder chocapic toaster edition the sky is bug in black. but run 40fps 480p
Damn small linux operating system
Group Farting Starts at 9 PM
The moment you notice a rasberry pi 4 is faster than your pc :-(
Feather is the Best client ,try it on the rasberry
It's not compatible with Linux
It runs better then my laptop tbh
also install an fan on the pi
Next: watercooling it
YES
0:01 ayo
😂
This was fast 😅
allocate more ram to the gpu and overclock it in raspi-config
Lunar client kills performance in low end pc u should use cmpack or salwyyr (I use them)
Im fetting a rpi 5 8gb ram so i wanna compare them using this video on the same version
I have the pi5 4gb I recommend fps mod packs on prism launcher I got 100+ fps
Phoenix os really good for PC and laptop
Yes plsss
My comparison between RasPi and Apple Silicon still stands
I think Apple Sillicon is better due to the optimised hardware and software, but I would love to see an integrated OS with the raspberry pi supported by the mainstream software developers
@@NotroDan agreed, but they have many similarities
NO ONE CAN CONVINCE ME OTHERWISE
Do this in the new Raspberry Pi 5 and check how better is it
Lol
u can see ur fps with sodium u just need sudium extra
I'm using Raspberry pi 4 with 1.12.2 for 4 month. I used GD launcher and installed sodium and it went up to 53 fps!!! I'd recommand using GD launcher
*_why does a raspberry pi outperform my pc?_*
My linux pc getting only 15 fps help pls
turn yiour render distance to 2 chunks
i don't think you did that
You need to use rasberry pi os 64bit for better performance
resolution control +
ferrite core
This Raspberry Pi gets more fps than my own pc

Suggestion: set up an instance of Minecraft 1.19.3 with Sodium, Lithium and Starlight. Those three are very good together when improving performance.
I would've said Phosphor instead of Starlight but Starlight is far superior and gets updates quicker it seems.
Starlight is definitely better than Phosphor, there curseforge page even says it.
Bruh no... If a raspberry pi can get 100 fps in minecraft I see no damn excuse for my laptop to be running at 40 with all the optimisation mods 😂
wheres notro client 😥
Don't we all want him to pvp on the Raspberry pi? 😂
👇
real
I got 100+ fps on pi 5 with a fps mod pack on prism launcher
you are playing 1.19 version which is heavy weighted version use 1.17 or 1.16
Try Linux mint please
*Raspberry pi very good for office working and school education, for watching UA-cam videos, but not for gaming and editing*
I agree
Wow 20 fps can I get a shop link?
Day1.8: please do another video on TechTitusTech winutil and also do a full video on XToolBox with NO cutting the video: Much will be appreciated Thankyou!
More windows optimisation videos coming out soon
Please try to play Minecraft Bedrock version on it!
I live these types of Videos BTW!
Yes been meaning to install that
i get 800fps in windows xp in void resolution 640x320 and windowed mode lol i broke the xp record
Good
"cheapest" = 249.99 CAD
wait how did you play 1.19.3 on 32 bit?
I have no idea how it ran
@@NotroDan Its not Possible
If you really want to improve fps, use bedrock edition.
It's meant to run on slower systems, so bedrock would get at least 30fps if not more.
undervolt and overclock
Try Minecraft Bedrock on Rasberry Pi
rtx rusbery edision 8:48
Simply Optimiced is better than Adrenalin. Also you should try using an optimiced java version as well as use optimiced java flags
I tested that on my Raspberry Pi 400 and it actually isn't better from my tests.
@@dkxly Lots of things people suggest to me is hit or miss, I tried everything people suggested last video and the ones that got me the most results made it into the video
do 5
my computer normally has 20 FPS And i play it i dont know how do you need like 1010141012010010 FPS you need
)
hi
overclock it
try windows 10 on raspberry pi
Thats coming up
I killed our family laptop by playing Minecraft😅
Can you try Minecraft bedrock?
Minecraft Bedrock is not supported on Linux.
Windows vista
Try Phoenix os
Yes I also tried this on my old PC it's optimizer really well
Yes
fullscren will get more fps
Can you play bedrock on it?
No, bugrock Edition is not working with Linux
If a operating system is 64bit it wouldnt be faster then the 32bit version. The 32bit version would actually be faster then the 64bit version
No… x64 systems can process requests from Programs faster as well as a ton of other things. x32 has been unsupported for a while due to this by Windows, and 32 bot systems in general are just way slower in the modern day especially on ARM.
THE CHEAPEST???? no the cheapest are raspberry pi pico w/h/wh or pi zero w/h/wh but you can use only the zero normally like a normal pc
Zero takes 2 hours to load a web browser, until the Zero 3 W releases with at least 2GB of Ram the RPi 4 is the only RPi capable of running Minecraft Java stable, as well as other games and Google.
@@babylion122 it take me 3min to open a browser and 15sec to load a page and it's better than my old pc so...
i haved 512mb ram 2002 dell grey desktop computer
@@nevrunderstandlada Well yes because your using a PC from 2002, and the Zero W is from 2017. It has the latest drivers and is optimized by Raspbian to run apps whilst your 2002 Dell was dropped like a baby by 2010.
