Today we're going to be trying to get the Highest FPS in Minecraft. UA-camr’s such as Guiny, ItzOwo and MCBYT have been battling it out to get the highest FPS in Minecraft and currently Guiny has the record at 15,000 FPS - But can I beat that in this video?
I've seen videos from ItzOwo and Guiny 'How I Got World's Highest FPS in Minecraft' and 'How I Got The Highest FPS In Minecraft' Achieving the MAXIMUM FPS Possible in Minecraft I Beat Minecraft's FPS Record - Can I do it? I set out with a goal to get at least 15000 fps, which would not be possible on my Low End PC so I had to draft in help from my NEW PC.
The Specs:
Intel Core i7 14700K
Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro Cooler
ASUS ProArt Creator B760
32GB Corsair DDR5 RAM 5600MHz
ASUS Dual Nvidia RTX 4070 12GB
Software I used to increase fps: hone.gg/
I'm going to be showing you all the tricks on how I improved my FPS in Minecraft, Fix lag and show you the BEST Minecraft settings to get more FPS in Minecraft. Let me know if I should do more Minecraft PvP Client FPS Boost videos and thanks once again for watching!

Guiny could beat by using higher graphics card because you use 4070

Minecraft's rendering pipeline is mostly CPU bound, meaning most the rendering time is spent with the CPU's tasks
Linux has a better scheduler (a scheduler tell apps that they can or can't run at a given time) which can squeeze an extra 10% of CPU time out of it, compared to Windows.
I was saying this while watching the video too lol
Not really anymore, cpu utilization never goes above 20% at least forme. Gpu is used way more than my cpu
i mean he could have used gentoo with his own kernel and uh he probably would have gotten more fps and the um i forgot but theres a thing where he can convert the um opengl into vulkan and vulkan is crazy better so uh ye
I think there are some major rendering pipeline changes available like nvidium that change the game
@@bigredscops the graphics API has no impact on performance
Congrats Notro!! you always come up with such new and entertaining concept to entertain us...
The last step is to compile your system with x86v4 optimizations and also do the same with java + Linux kernel adjusted for gaming by using for example the Linux-tkg project.
I am really curious what are the boundaries of overoptimalization :)
4000FPS in Vanilla Minecraft 1.20 seems to good to be true. Really wish my PC could do that

I actually broke Guiny's record about 5 days ago when I was also attempting to break the record, I got (at peak) 20,817 fps. This still beats it though lol
For the record my hardware is a Lenovo Legion Pro 5 16IRX8, Intel Core i9-13900HX, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 (mobile), 32GB RAM. I did it on Minecraft 1.7.10 (Lunar Client) on Linux while most other graphical stuff was not running. Maybe I will try again someday...
I didn't record it because OBS drops MC's fps by about 8000 just by running :(
Dang, on a laptop?
@@bluealt4936 Yep, this laptop is less than a year old
You should have try to record it on phone or just take a screenshot
@@TheOnlyChilllionaire I did take a picture of it on my phone, but it's pretty blurry. The "20,817 fps" is almost unreadable. If I manage to beat this record I will definitely at least make a community post about it lol
I beat the record 24,385 FPS. Minecraft 1.7.10 Lunar Client (I decided to copy you), Specs is 7800x3d 4080 Super 32GB of 6000cl30 Ram

my PC can't even get 60 fps and you are playing at 20,000 fps 😮😮😮😮
Bro mine gets with every optimasation mod everything 40fps on server and 20 in singleplayer 😂
My with 2 core 360 quality 60 fps
My 2 core celeron can run minecraft at 1fps with every optimization 😎
Wait how did you get such a huge fps and also did You use the in build lunar fps checking thingy? It doesnt show the exact one. Also you might get even more fps checking with other fps plugins maybe.

THANK YOU FOR CREATING ASTRAL PVP 16X16 TEXTURE PACK!!!
Maybe you could get even littlebit more if you install Arch in littbit more "performace" way, for example icewm as your WM.
electricity bill is gonna be the same amount as fps
LOL
one time, using linux on a laptop, i got 15000 fps. then the motherboard died a few days later...
RIP, hopefully that doesn't happen to me haha
Awesome, my most I was able to get was around 1050 fps on Minecraft 1.20 using a bunch of optimization mods in fabric on windows 11 in a core I 5 11400f and Gtx 1660ti at 1080p in a normal smp server at 6 chunks render distance
LES GO ANOTHER BANGER
Banger video as always keep up the good work dan❤
Thank you!!
Did you get a new editor. I like the new style
Same editor just referenced Guinys and ItzOwo's style and I was blown away haha
👍 good job
I do think a 7800X3D (with unlocked power limits) is better for Minecraft, since it's a single core game. E cores are already a waste of money for most games, but for Minecraft it's even less worth it.
Surely it could be used to beat this record
Not all of Minecraft is single core
@@CU9_overwhelming majority is, and there’s nowhere near enough load on the netty threads for e cores to make a meaningful difference
@@CU9_ when unmodded, it's so single threaded!
@@Amaltator489 well some users have reported higher FPS with the e cores disabled because the game is sometimes stupid and runs on one of them

I think the fps display actually lowers your fps by a lot. You should get an external program to monitor it instead. I think the one by Nvidia is good.
U the goat
notrodan is so underrated

"the guy with an RTX 4090 an AMD Ryzen 9 8000 series (soon releasing i hope) and running on his custom version of linux":
what about also using a 1 by 1 res texture pack for more fps?
Have you tried nvidium? That would probably destroy that fps
i think Element X will be a world record holder for a LONG time
You could have used sodium mode, how many times would you get FPS
Lunar, in my experience is a slightly bloated client. I ran it on a very crappy HP laptop with an iGPU and it was horrendous. So here's what i have done.
I Got myself an NMVe, gone with the bare-metal raw Arch-Linux (not the other distros that are based on it), used XFCE Desktop Environment under LightDM (Light Desktop Manager), installed a CLI-based launcher like PortableMC, installed Sodium and its Optimizers, Gave MC around 8GB of RAM or more, Got a texture-simplifying texturepack and ran the game and spawned myself in a block-less world (skyblock world but without the island so its just me and the void), flew down until the skybox is not loading anymore and then checked my FPS.
results were good. Around 200FPS ftw.
do the same thing and you should experience the same but with more FPS.
Wana go even further? run the game at its first version with mods, create a world where its just you and the void with mods, disable said mod, and load the world in (0 block world), and the rest must be done. You're welcome. I probably might have gotten you around 1-2k FPS more from that.
Nice video 👍. you made so dramatic lol
Hahah gotta tell the story of my FPS quest
The record could be really easy to break if all u guys didn’t use a 4070 and a i7-14th(maybe use a 4090 and i9-14900k)also super cool vid congrats
CPU would be the bottleneck in that case, maybe a Ryzen CPU and a 4090 might beat it
@@NotroDanyour 14700k is bottlenecking your 4070
@@NotroDan isn’t the i9-14900k the best current CPU on the market? Is don’t see how the i9 will bottleneck the 4090,but if u meant the 4070,in that case it probably will bottleneck it.
I know I'm 5 days late but there's a little piece of wrapper in the right side of the ram and that can take up over 1000 fps
Man I just wish I could keep a stable 100 fps with my 60 mods and shaders
how did you open that windows optimisations?
Now someone else just needs rtx 4090 with water cooling and nvidium mod with lowest render distance both in regular minecraft setting and the mod's render distance setting to beat this record :)
GG
its crazy how 1.7.10 is the most optimized version because its also the last version before microsoft
Did you use Cachyos?
me with my 0 to 1 fps with every single optimization mods possible
guiny gonna be chasing after you
tip: get a motherboard that can run 2 graphics cards at once. use 2 4080 supers and an i9 14700kf
Ah yes, 1.7.10, best version that I remember. The most amount of mods
please make a video of playing minecraft in 32 bit
I wonder how that compares to using Sodium with Nvidium mods or alternatively the Vulkan mod.
That's my next trick if someone beats the record
Lithium and Starlight >>>
@@RandMV both, both is good.
starlight isn't needed in 1.20+ @@RandMV
@@Polarel528 but it's needed in 1.16.5 (most optimized Fabric version)
If I had infinite money I can almost definitely beat this. Using better hardware, a more lightweight linux setup like openbox or just X with no WM, better optimization mods on 1.20 such as nvidium or VulkanMod, can probably crack 30000fps
When you said no rgb because im not 12 it hit me hard (i am 12 and my pc is a literal laser party)
Cool
you could have had more fps if you manually installed performance mods for 1.7.10 that are not included on lunaclient like FalseTweaks (on modrinth)
Let’s go
Bro can see the future 💀
LinusTechTips peers through the window
If you go much further you run dangerously close to killing the hardware by pushing so many frames out but my advice would be to get a machine with the lowest latencies possible specifically memory and cache latency, that is more than likely an Intel cpu with the e cores and SMT disabled although I’m not too sure, also the Minecraft text renderer is abysmal and even lunars isn’t great so I’d measure fps with a third party tool, and make the measurement rate very slow. Also I think on Linux an amd gpu would be better, I got 4000 fps on Linux with my 5700xt years ago and I wasn’t optimizing anything amd just has killer drivers on Linux since they’re open sourced
NVIDIA has open-sourced their drivers and still keep the proprietary drivers aswell
Yeah it was only a bit of fun for a short amount of time, In CachyOS I used NVIDIA proprietary drivers but I can try my RX 6600XT next time with a third party FPS counter 👍
@@NotroDan do you still have contact with alfie

time to beat this with my 14900k and rx 7900 xtx 😈

Can’t beat me on any binary package system

@@bearfm last time I tried to install LFS it wouldn’t boot and I have no idea where I made a mistake. However I can install Gentoo and while that may not be as optimized as LFS, it’s still way faster than arch.
