That caseback is a work of art like seriously there is no negative there. If Rolex made that caseback there would be riots to get those watches.
Yup… and Rolex doesn’t have to and can put on a lazy blank caseback because Rolex fanboys will buy whatever they make as long as it says Rolex on it.
I think it’s an absolutely brilliant release, this is exactly what I’ve been expecting/waiting for from Omega. I’m surprised that most people seem to have expected a redesign which is crazy to me, anniversary editions have never been a time for complete makeovers but rather a light touch and a new color or two.

@@Mega-zi7ys I’m actually leaning towards the PO but I’m skeptical of the 39.5mm size. The Ploprof and the Ultra Deep are just phenomenal, but they’re definitely out of my price range.
@@heteroyngwielover that’s difficult to say, if we’re talking time periods, they’re due for an upgrade, especially the Planet Ocean. However, they’re selling quite well so I’d give them 1.5-2 years.
Omega definitely knocked it out of the park in this release! My favorite is the vintage Seamaster 300! I love that vintage diver style and I think it looks even better in that new blue color! Thanks for the video!

Dials are beautiful and I think the engraved closed case backs are a nod to the past when all Seamasters had them. I have a vintage Seamaster from 1960 that has a hippocampus engraved case back and it’s one of things I like most about the watch.

I think the Seamaster Heritage is one of the hits in this collection. The blue, makes the watch more clear that it is a modern watch, but vintage inspired. Clean, vintage looks, but not forced vintage-ness.
Maybe that’s why I also like the BB58 blue over the black.

The Ultra Deep is astonishing. Absolute classic.
The Ploprof unfortunately not so .

I'm loving the Planet Ocean, I would have preferred a fumé type dial rather than the scratched Railmaster style dial but I still like it. And that they've only released the 39.5mm version is nice. I owned the 43mm version and found the white gold 12 6 9 numerals go pretty much invisible in any light. Seeing them in white here is good, but having them lumed would have been better. Blued hands are a nice touch, I think I will be buying this watch if I can get it.
You said it-icy blue center...the blue is actually more of a winter blue than a summer blue!
They are all nice, but I feel they should have made some case changes. Imagine a 39 mm 300m with
I went to try them on at the Geneva boutique today, and they are indeed gorgeous. More masculine than the shiny boyish blue of the regular Seamaster. The Planet Ocean really popped out, smart and sitting perfectly on the wrist despite the tall stature and wrist presence. The Ultra Deep is also more striking than the regular Ultra Deep models with the dark sculpted dial and wears more comfortably than the Rolex SD43 for example.
The planet ocean is the one that stands out for me. If I hadn't just made a big purchase I would have been viewing it for sure.
Gah! I feel so torn about this release! I feel like they could have done more for 75 years of the Seamaster. 😅 but I need to see these in person!

Yeah you always say something conditioal if it's Omega...but Rolex comes out with a faux Tiffany and it's a great Innovation. You need to get over your biases and insecurities
This was a great release from Omega! Especially when compared to the anniversary release from Rolex! Rolex brought for the 50th anniversary of the Submariner as a change only a green bezel! 😂😂😂

Individually, the watches are mostly underwhelming; however, when viewed as a collection, you see how clever the whole thing is. While it's not a full product launch like many would've liked for the anniversary, it's a great one-off line.
A case back cover with that Sea Horse engraving kinda like Patek Calatra would be nice. That way you get the special anniversary engraving and flipping it open you get to see the movement.
Great video and great release. There are still some Seamaster updates I'd like to see like the bracelet on the 300m but for a Seamaster-wide special release this was coherent, consistent, and pretty!
Had the Seamaster 300m on my wrist earlier today its an absolute cracker ! They have knocked it out of park for sure.

I enjoy the solid casebacks. Omega's Seamaster movements have never been beautiful to me (Speedmaster is a completely different story). For me the 300 heritage is the most compelling. I'll try it on at the very least.
Underwhelmed. I was hoping they would do a significant redesign of the 300M, at minimum redesign the bracelet. We got none of those things. Nice new color but I was hoping for much much more.
i really like them, not so much the aquaterra versions but from there on up i like them more and more. still prefer my blue seamaster 300m on rubber over this one.

Love the shades of blue but I've never been a fan of gradient dials. These would of been perfect with a more consistent coloring throughout.
Honestly, the only 75th anniversary edition Seamaster that I genuinely love is the 300m. I think they knocked it out of the park!!! To date-it's my favorite of the 300m models produced. The color and light play are simply mesmerizing! I have a black Planet Ocean with the 8900 movement that has an exhibition case back. And while I love the exhibition case back allowing me to see the movement- the case back on the 75th anniversary is positively stunning!!! The only reason I haven't bought one is because I already have a Planet Ocean diver in my collection-and my thought is to add a more sartorially versatile timepiece. I have currently been thinking of adding an Aqua Terra for stronger sartorial versatility-but the dial color on the 75th anniversary watch is simply too light for my tastes. Admittedly, the 300m is fairly versatile hovever!
I love these anniversary editions. I don't buy the argument they are stealing dial ideas from Seiko. These are stunning! And Omega proved they have a sense of humor with "Omega was here." 😅
I think every SMP 300M fan was holding their breath for a tapered bracelet.

I just now found these..... I will own three of these at least possibly four. The World Timer, the Seamaster 300 heritage, the Planet Ocean and the Ultra Deep (which I think is amazing). I love the closed casebacks and engravings on these watches and I'm a huge fan of the color ways.
I love the Planet Ocean in this color. I’ve never been drawn to that piece until now.

Yeah, nice little release that. Aqua Terra is underwhelming but the others have details that might attract the general populace. Definitely trend more to collectors but they draw the eye.
They should have put that emblem on the rotor, simmilar to the globemaster

Yes ! They got rid of the red tip and red text on the 300M.
AT38 would definitely fit your 6.5” wrist. Same size as that Certina you tried and it looked good on you.
Omega fanboy here aswell, but why can't they just do a proper upgrade to the 300M. Shrink it a bit, and change the bracelet, and it would have been another buy for me.
A bit tired of these "special editions". But great review as always👍

I refuse to wear a watch that leaves its logo imprinted on my wrist like a branding iron. Give me a transparent back cover instead, so I can feast my eyes on the mesmerizing beauty of the omega watch movement!
I love the colours! BUT Omega didn't do what I wanted. I wanted the teak dial in the smaller AT line and I wanted a 38mm Seamaster Professional 300.
I love my two tone Aqua Terra w/blue rubber strap. The white teak dial flips too silver in the light. 38.5mm. not a ladies watch. That being said; ladies size is now 43mm and down, I bought it last year along with a short Omega strap (6 1/4 wrist size). I cant wear the other watches in my collection with a short sleeve shirt for fear of watch theft. wait 'till you see the movement!!
Many have too small a diameter (except the ploprof and the 300M), some have no dates, and all are more expensive than their previous versions. Plus the closed off back means you won't be able to admire the movement which is a shame even though the backs are nice. Not for me but I'm sure someone will buy them.

Omega is shooting itself in the foot by making the 38mm it released clearly a ladies' watch. Why not keep it unisex like their latest 38mm Aqua Terras?
seriously considering swapping out my order for the black face IWC ingenieur , for the ultra deep 75 year anni drop. What would you do sir? IWC is still at least 3 months out after placing order in march/ april when it was announced. The longer I wait the less inclined I am to take it up..

Nice additions to the seamaster collection but another £300 on the £5.5k price, in fairness Omega could have ripped it for more, though £5800 is pretty sharp

Yeah no kidding. If we’re using baseball terminology then this is, at best, a double. Some case redesign with ploprof and case backs is it. The color is par for the course, and while it’s a nice color, it’s nothing new. This is basically a mid release. Nothing special. Hardly a knock it out of the park moment. I don’t hear the watch community abuzz with the grand revelation of omega lol

I love Omega, but I am not an obnoxious fanboy. The Ploprof is gorgeous, but not $14K gorgeous. 🤷♂️. I don't know why these dials make me think about Seiko.
The “great white” is supposed to be the seamaster 300M GMT ref. 2538.20.00 😊

Not sure really. But i would think the name is not exclusive for a specific model. A web search would show both models though 😊

Planet Ocean for me. However, seamaster 300 just got too expensive. Appreciate they are a quality watch with metas movement to match 😂
Can't get on with the blue lume on the divers, especially on the bezel. Like the AT41 and Worldtimer, and would pay the extra £200-300.
I think it's a very lazy and bad release of them.. watches that they had (and already in many blue variations), just changing to a different colour(using Tiffany/Iceblue ,what the hype was 2/3 years ago). Only new one is the Ploprof in a new case and size (that one look's cool as well as the PO but have the same dial design as the Railmaster) but people are waiting for years for a better bracelet for the SM300, microadjustments on the Aqua Terra,.. Those still have 3.5hz movements and 55-60 hours of power reserve. It would be a banger of a release if they only released a new SM300 in a smaller case ,a bit redesigned and better bracelet.

Celebrate 75 years of the best watches in human history with a different shade of blue? Where is the classic no date MOD 165.024? Specs show the proplof is thinner, but everything else is the same?
I only heard of these new releases last night (sounds a bit like nocturnal emissions) yet today I see that almost all models are in the window in my local AD, available to buy. Big middle finger fuckU to Rolex and their shady back door practices.

I love the watches, but does everyone know that when Rolex and Omega and others do these 1000+ meter watches, they are 100% marketing gimmicks? Because no human being can ever go that deep outside of a submersible vehicle. The human body cannot handle the pressure below 1000 meters, in fact, the deepest dive of all time is less than 500 meters. It’s just a completely unusable feature. And if you’re in a submersible, as you need to be, you can be wearing a plastic Swatch because the pressure inside is around the same as on land. 😉
Ultra Deep and PloProf are the only interesting ones.

Try this. Wear Omega watches for a year. Then wear Rolex watches for a year. Now back to Omega. I’ve done this. What you notice is that Omega bracelets are sadly lacking and a constant disappointment. Come on Omega you are a great brand but need to evolve those 90s bracelets. Rolex did it. Remember those old jangly Rolex bracelets with stamped metal clasps and hollow links. Gone.
Good release, However I would rather buy a regular Seamaster than pay a premium on the Summer Blue 300m without an exhibition Case back . For an anniversary piece Omega did nothing except change the dial on watch. This watch needs a new or tapered Bracelet and that helium escape valve needs to go

Impressive batch yet even more redundant. Nothing is more redundant than launching anniversary watch series. Omega has presented countless throughout the last two decades. People don't buy luxury watches to commemorate a year, just look at the "Big red 1957" series Speedmaster from 2007. The "Snoopies, James Bond 300m and PO specials, the first Speedmaster in space, the Alaska Projects, will always be the ones getting the foremost attention as collectibles.

Very underwhelming. Omega is pulling a Rolex by releasing the exact same watch in a different color and charging more for it. The Seamaster Diver 300 still only comes in one size, has a big ugly bracelet, and has a worse movement than the Aqua Terra. They could have done much more.
