Back then when the first few flights of the space shuttle the external fuel tanks were white and black. Now, or when they did launch the shuttle, the tanks were orange.
He meant as cargo, obviously there were no external orange tanks here if you've watched the video

This is a beautiful video, and makes me miss the shuttle so much.
Stephen Kraus honestly I don't miss the shuttle, it was a drain on nasa's recources. When Gemini ended nobody shed a tear beacause the Saturn V was sitting in an adjacent launch bay, when people she'd a tear over the shuttle program ending, I accuse them of not missing the shuttle, but instead knowing there is nothing to follow up its legacy
It was Re-usable the Booster and the Shuttle self!
JordanLOL channel time The Shuttle, well. I would say it’s re-furbishable because there are most things that are replaced on the craft like the heat shield, rocket engines, etc.

With the new KSP 1.0.5 update (not that new) you can now build space shuttles with ease but the idea of liquid rocket boosters are better than the SRB's. I don't think there are stock shuttles yet but there are already engines for the shuttle and mounting plate
And what I meant about stock shuttles is the default ships

How do you balance something or nothing in the cargo bay? Also, do i have to fill the tanks if i get this? Thanks!
It can fly with any cargo. No balancing needed. Simply fill up the center External Tank tank and you should be good for most missions. Only the Fuel Pod needs all tanks plus boosters full.

Space shuttle boosters aren't air to air missiles? Are they at least ground to air missiles?
There solid rocket booster on the real shuttle because there cheaper than liquid fuel booster, in case he's using liquid fuel because u can control it
I love your shuttle! However, I recommend the vectors, as they are super efficient, and slightly more powerful.

How did you build the STS elevator?
someone else gave me the idea. I just expanded it. I bummed it off the KSP forums somewhere for a smaller elevator, and figured, hey that's a neat idea!

Hey When I launch a shuttle, downloaded from a craft file, it goes up then backflips. It then explodes. What can I do to fix this?
SAS, keep yourself pointed up. pointers are in the KerbalX.com file in the comments. In each iteration of KSP (the design has survived just fine through 9 KSP generations) the flight handling differs a bit, but once you know the general idea of the flight profile as shown in this video, you should be able to handle her to match.
