Space launch is the earliest part of a flight that reaches space. Space launch involves liftoff, when a rocket or other space launch vehicle leaves the ground, floating ship or midair aircraft at the start of a flight. Liftoff is of two main types: rocket launch (the current conventional method), and non-rocket spacelaunch (where other forms of propulsion are employed, including airbreathing jet engines or other kinds).

List of Tallest Rockets to have ever launched:
10) Space shuttle
Space shuttle has a 60-foot (18 meter) long payload bay that is 15 feet (4.5 meters) wide. Orbiters can haul large payloads into orbit, making the shuttle the only spacecraft capable of launching massive segments of the ISS.2). On the ground, each NASA space shuttle is about 122 feet (37 meters) long from nose to stern and stands 56 feet (17 meters) tall. They have a wingspan of about 78 feet (23 meters).
9) Atlas V
Atlas V is commonly used for interplanetary missions, military payloads and cargo runs to the International Space Station. This rocket type has had more than 75 launches (as of March 2018) with no complete failures, making it among the most reliable in the world.
8) Ariane IV
The Ariane 4 was an expendable launch system, designed by the Centre national d'études spatiales while being manufactured and marketed by its subsidiary Arianespace. The launcher became justly known as the "workhorse" of the Ariane family.
7) Delta IV Medium
Delta IV is an expendable launch system in the Delta rocket family. The rocket's main components are designed by Boeing's Defense, Space & Security division and built in the United Launch Alliance (ULA) facility in Decatur, Alabama. Final assembly is completed at the launch site by ULA.
6) Angara A5
The Angara rocket family is a family of space-launch vehicles being developed by the Moscow-based Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center. The rockets are to put between 3,800 and 24,500 kg into low Earth orbit and are intended, along with Soyuz-2 variants, to replace several existing launch vehicles.
5) Falcon Heavy
Falcon Heavy is a partially reusable heavy-lift launch vehicle designed and manufactured by SpaceX. It is derived from the Falcon 9 vehicle and consists of a strengthened Falcon 9 first stage as a central core with two additional first stages as strap-on boosters.
4) Delta IV Heavy
The Delta IV Heavy (Delta 9250H) is an expendable heavy-lift launch vehicle, the largest type of the Delta IV family, and is the world's second highest-capacity rocket in operation, with a payload capacity half of SpaceX's Falcon Heavy rocket.
3) Ares I-X
The Ares I-X vehicle consisted of a functional four-segment solid rocket booster (SRB) stage, a fifth segment mass simulator, an upper-stage simulator (USS).
2) N1
The N1 was a super heavy-lift launch vehicle intended to deliver payloads beyond low Earth orbit, acting as the Soviet counterpart to the US Saturn V. It was designed with crewed extra-orbital travel in mind. Development work started on the N1 in 1959. Its first stage is the most powerful rocket stage ever built.
1) Saturn V
The Saturn V was an American human-rated expendable rocket used by NASA between 1967 and 1973. The three-stage liquid-fueled super heavy-lift launch vehicle was developed to support the Apollo program for human exploration of the Moon and was later used to launch Skylab, the first American space station. The Saturn V was launched 13 times from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida with no loss of crew or payload. As of 2018, the Saturn V remains the tallest, heaviest, and most powerful (highest total impulse) rocket ever brought to operational status, and holds records for the heaviest payload launched and largest payload capacity to low Earth orbit (LEO) of 140,000 kg (310,000 lb.

No one will forgot the legendary Saturn - V
Well done. Still am in awe when I watch the Saturn V liftoff. And ended up with a perfect track record too. Respect for the teams that made that all possible.
This video deserves much more views.
Where is Saturn 1B
You mean saturn V?
3:03 when your Friend blows into the Mic
I am really impressed with this video! Fun to watch, too!
Thank you for making great videos! You make me happy!
RIP N1
All 4 of them R.I.P
N1 is the fossil of rockets. And costs a fortune.
Death in Peace
When the srb ignite you know stuff just got real
3:56 That's an absolutely amazing view of Delta IV Medium appearing from behind that hill!
Delta IV in Y E E T mode.
3:56
Delta IV: "goes up through the hill"
Delta IV: hi, dude!
Me: Hi, Delta IV!
Delta IV can be seen also in the launchpad to mountain hill
The falcon 9 heavy... Gotta love it
The sheer acceleration of the space shuttle! It just jumps off the launch pad as soon as those solids are ignited & can't wait to get into orbit! Very impressive! 😃😃😃😃😃😃
Impressive indeed!
moment of silence for sea dragon
Amogus
And seahorse
@@untitledname8773 he means rocket seadragon lol from for all mankind the movie
@@GodzillasubplsOh Ok
And Artemis one
This is good video!! You need to do 2023 version
The legendary saturn v the first rocket to get on the moon and safely back to earth
i dont know if saying that saturn V returned to earth is fair. only the command module (crew cabin) returned to earth. the rest was staged and either left to orbit forever or enter the atmosphere and burn up
SO COOL!!!
It's amazing how big these rockets look when compared to structures we are familiar with.
MaazTech ikr, it’s like launching a whole building into space
MaazTech
@@chadgoodsen6491 z
Or smaller than them
That’s some jaw-dropping and frightening music for the intro in this video
5:55 for the win.
And the best reentry ever
Yes.. might as well take a ride in one of the same company’s rockets to the moon is about 2 decades. Starship. SpaceX is making the starship to be the first FULLY REUSABLE rocket ever. And it should be capable of going to mars!
Estimated cost per launch: 2 million.
Estimated cost to build: i dont know but not even close to how much SLS costs to build.
10:14 will remain the best. I don’t care what you say the Saturn V is the ultimate of all launch vehicles, don’t care if it wasn’t reused.
Since that now SLS launched not long ago we can say that it's now the king of rockets because it's taller than the Saturn V Wich was once the tallest
It's not taller than the Saturn 5.
@@RocketPal yes it is but not taller then the starship
@@tylerk.hadaller7939no SLs block 1b is taller but the. One that launched is SLs block 1 wich is shorter
It’s not taller than Saturn v , the starship rocket is now the tallest and the most powerful rocket
The one that launched recently (Artemis 1) used the SLS Bock 1 which is only 98 metres tall while the Saturn V is more than 110 meters tall. The next mission(s) will use the block 1B and the Block 2 which will be a little more than Saturn V but lower than Starship
All of these are absolutely beautiful!
Ares 1 is a literal stick
You need to do the same video, but compare the cost to launch each one.
At 3:41 I thought that it will not lift off at all 😅
Is it because of the fire if it's because of the fire you really don't know that much about rockets
Canadaball plays SFS Well maybe you could explain then instead of being so rude?
Do you even hear the countdown?!!?!!?!?!?!!
anita vaidya That was A Fireball
You guys are still operating on the *assumption* that the fireball is why this person thought it wasn't going to lift off successfully. I'm not saying it's an incorrect assumption, however it is an assumption.
LOVE
Those launchs are so Massive. This video really shows these :)
If you want an update:
- Starship: 121 meters
- New Glenn: 98 meters (will launch either this year or next year)
- Ariane 6: 63 meters (will launch this year)
I have no idea about chinese rockets to be honest
Looking forward to seeing the Space Launch System & the block 2 cargo version & also the space-x Super Heavy Starship on here! I wonder if the Lockheed LLLV & the Sea Dragon will ever be built?
Sea dragon is canceled it will probably not be built, also has a higher chance of exploded because its being launched in the water
Most likely not, Unfortunately. But it would be cool seeing the gigantic sea dragon launch
Lifttoff!!!! Yes!!
I'm just gonna start getting my hopes too soon

Best lifftoff
Yooooo0o, apollo painted SLS!!!1!
The falcon heavy is still my favorite rocket
3:42 fire
I love the space shuttle and The Saturn v
Fun facts:
Space Shuttle: They are oficially 5 shuttles but 2 failed.
Atlas V: Atlas 5 is one of the most powerfull, its payload too.
Ariane 4: 5 is smaller than ariane 4, yeah 5 is ariane 5.
Delta IV Medium: The rocket was also operated by boeing plane company.
Angara A-5: Angara was loud, also the russian rocket was a great succes.
Falcon Heavy: Musk's Powerful space ship to land on mars until Starship Sn20 comes to land, which is the animation.
Delta IV Heavy: The orion rocket is oficially one of the same launches as on this list of number 4.
Ares i-x: This tall rocket is also operated by orion space station, ares is also long enough, as its also similar to the SLS.
N1 Rocket: The first soviet rocket attemnt to land on the moon just months after saturn V Launched.
Saturn V: A powerfull rocket that can go to the moon, but sea dragon is the largest rocket, not saturn V.
Sea Dragon does not count as that rocket was purely a concept that never got off the drawing board
would like to mention the shuttle only failed once. the shuttle transport system or STS is the full shuttle with the boosters and orange tank. the shuttle is just the actual orbiter or "plane". the cause of the challenger disaster was in the booster, which means it was an STS error not a shuttle error
Wow
Beautiful video !
اليوم القمر بدر وبكرا القيامه ان شاالله
Oh helllloooooooooooo
That video is cool I like the space shuttle I’m smart

For the record, the N1 and the Saturn V hold all the records!
They were both rockets designed in the late 50's and first flew in the mid to late 60's.
They still are unmatched vs anything else that has flown till now, year 2019 ! Damn...
Mad respect to Sergei Korolev, Nikolai Kuznetsov Vasily Mishin for the N1 rocket, and
of course the one and only Werher Von Braun for the Saturn family of rockets!
