Turning a twin mattress into a sofa.

We have a twin bed we use for guests to sleep over on but don't really like the way it looks in our living room. We always need more seating so I made a frame to turn the bed into a little sofa that easily converts to a bed when we need it to.

If you put salt in the glue side of the 2X4 glue up, they wont shift when clamped! It is a weird trick but works like a charm.

Agreed, sometimes I just use the existing sawdust between the two as well.

If you don't want your wood to slide around when gluing up. A few grains of sand or salt will work wonders.
