Aaron: "You think I'm going to poison your baby daughter?" And Rick just looks like, yep! That will always be one of my favorite interactions on the show.
Once again Michonne talks and Rick shuts up, actually listens to what she has to say and agrees to her plan. I just love their relationship, how close they have become and how much Rick values her opinion.
Aaron is my absolute fave character and his comedic acting in this Ep is perfect especially since it contrasts so well with Andrew Lincoln (rick grimes) serious acting
I like how we/you become so hesitant, careful, worried, cautious. Like the group feels. The writers did an amazing job to give us as a viewer the same feeling and experience as the group. It makes you feel part of the group.
I love how Michonne can tell Rick what to do without much pushback. We've seen her do it before, this was a big moment. We've never seen something just straight override Rick's authority like that and the fact that he doesn't really fight against it shows how much respect he has for her and how much influence she has over him. He really does listen to her and they can communicate without saying a word, just by looking at each other and read each other well (actually, the scene where Rick punches Aaron is probably the only time he goes against Michonne, so far. They share a look right before, while looking at the pictures, and after the punch she tells him "Just so we're clear? That wasn't a 'Let's attack that man' look. It was a 'He seems like an okay guy to me' look"). It's interesting that when you see Michonne telling everyone that they're going to Alexandria, not only did no one object (which shows the respect they have for her to allow her to take control like that) but while everyone's looking at Michonne, Carol is looking at Rick to gauge his response to what Michonne's doing... The broken places that the rest of #TeamFamily are going through, Michonne's already gone through it (she's kinda ahead of the curve) and since her epiphany after the fall of the prison, she's officially come out on the other side of that darkness. She's been watching the rest of the group and she knows that they've been there too long. It started when she was listening to Carl trying to teach Father Gabriel how to survive. The final trigger though was Glenn. When she saw the mentality of Glenn in WHAWGO, the man who's the moral compass and full of compassion become so jaded, angry and broken, that's when she knew that they've definitely been out there to long and something the change. *Cue Washington Speech*. When Michonne is speaking to everyone, both as a group and individually, she's speaking wisdom from experience. She's already been where they are and she's trying to save them from themselves the same way they saved her. If that means taking charge, then so be it. Rick's not the only Alpha (and leader) in that group and we saw that when they first met and he tried to get information outta her by force and it didn't work... You're right about Michonne balancing Rick. Hershel may have been his moral compass, but I always refer to her as his anchor. She keeps him grounded and I believe without her, he'd be all over the damn place. That tiny moment where they're in the car in front of the gates and Rick hears the children's voices, when Michonne comfortably holds his hand and ask "You ready?", you can see the relief wash over him. It almost like she's constantly stabilizing him. On the flip side, you can see that he not only trusts her, but wants her to be "okay." Back in WHAWGO, you notice a shift in the friendship. Michonne is really affected by the loss of Noah's community. Now Michonne's not often comforted on the show by others. She's usually does the comfortably, usually verbally. In this episode, you see Rick very subtly touch her as they walk pass each other. Or touching her arm when he wants to talk and check up on her. That's a long way from her saying "Don't you ever touch me again" when they met back season 3. Their dynamics is slowly but surely evolved, slowly but surely, over the past few seasons. The scene where she's talking about Washington, he pretty much has to choose between Glenn (No Washington) and Michonne (Washington). He sees that Michonne is NOT okay. His trust in her, despite her argument being based on a hunch, and her not being "okay" triggers the final decision... Their dynamic can probably be summed up in a small moment between them in the season 4 finale. While the group is their way to Terminus, the day after Rick bit Joe's neck out, Rick ask her "You okay?" She responds, "Yeah". Without her asking, he reassures her and simply says "I'm okay." She respond, "I know." Surprised by her response, he asks "How?" She tells him, "Because I'm okay, too." Their friendship and dynamics is one of favorites of the series...
Rick decides to go in and let everyone in because he hears actual CHILDREN play and cheer, which tells him it's probably safe. This episode was all about the group learning to move on and put their trust in things and people once again.
gravityprone part 2 - It was a good tension break. Though after finding out that Aaron is gay, and remembering back to his line that his mom made him eat stuff he didn’t like to make him more manly, it’s kinda sad, too. Doesn’t sound like Aaron’s mom accepted him.
Also I love how Michonne decides to take a chance and take charge by wanting to go to the community cause it turned out that Aaron's story checked out all the way and I love how she becomes the voice of reason
The music that plays as they are driving in the RV is so good. I remember I still wasn’t over Tyreeses death at this point but the music was so uplifting and made me realize that he’s w/ Bob and Beth and Karen and Lizzie and Mika and Hershel and Andrea and he’s free from this nightmarish new world of the undead and ppl who will kill other people for survival.
You're right, Lacey. It's all about finding the balance. Rick is a good leader. He may not be the greatest, mind you, but it's an apocalyptic world, so like he said "the rules keep changing" for him, and it's hard to keep up, and keep his people safe. Rick wasn't about to take any chances on Aaron (and considering the groups he's come across, who can blame him), but Michonne is cautious, and is always cautious. Rick listening to her, and to others; taking their advice into account; making the hard choices, but allowing himself to be talked down if necessary, is what makes him a leader I would follow. "Even though you were wrong, you're still right." If anybody knows the truth of that, it's Carol. Great episode! I like the tension of not knowing what Aaron is all about. Is Alexandria as safe as he claims it to be? 😊🌺🏝️❤️
I find it funny how Arron said the one thing that makes our community strong is other people, when the last community they stumbled upon ate other people to literally stay alive 😂
Leila Edwards I would even like to mention just a comment in regards to quality of the next seasons. You probably no where I’m going with that... but they mentioned before that they don’t even want us to say what episode is great and to avoid the hype lol so I guess I’ll keep my mouth shut.
@@psfreak333 Exactly. But we get to watch them experience it for themselves. And see their take on it. Until then I feel like a levee holding back the tide.😎
This is one of my favorite parts of the series. I love that it's kinda unpredictable because this could have easily been a series finale. I think it almost was.
During this episode, I was siding heavily with Rick because of what they endured at Terminus that seemed nice at first, but also hoping it was like meeting Herschel and those at the farm. It could be a good thing or a bad thing or a bit of both, and in the apocalypse it's so hard to tell. Great reacts, guys!
Rick in this episode reminds me of the stray cats I feed. When you feed them they take a mouthful and eat it away from you growling. I'm like "dude take it I brought it for you" Rick: "it's ours! " Same energy. 🤣🤣🤣
I seriously LOVE how you break down and analyze each episode!!! Keeping your eyes open!! I love how you have gotten to the point that you don’t trust anyone just like our group!! Can’t wait for the next one!!
Rick needs one of Lacey's "be kind" shirts! At least he's listening to the people he trusts. You two are experienced TWD fans by now and your anxiety is showing! Come on, what could go wrong?! Nice video...we're watching. Welcome to Alexandria.
I really like how this episode shows how paranoid Rick is now and how much Glenn has changed. I also find Michonne's desperation to go to Alexandria interesting because it mirrors exactly how Andrea felt when they got to Woodbury. What Michonne was saying in episode nine also mirrored how Andrea told her she didn't have another eight months in her living like they were, and now Michonne knows that exact feeling.
This episode also kind of opens a new chapter for the show, as the group left Georgia & Atlanta and have now travelled all the way to Washington DC & Virginia.
I really love the fact the women really took charge in this episode, especially Michonne. Hopefully this is a legitimate community because our group really need a break, and a bath. Daryl looks like he's needed one since season one. I'm so happy you guys have made it so far in a show I absolutely love. I still remember when you guys first started on TWD, and how you Steve put it out there that you didn't have too much excitement going into it and now watch it with the same enthusiasm as I and millions of other fans do. Love you guys and love your videos. "Lacey and Steve, let's duo it."😁
Rick acting to cautious, put his group in danger by going down road 21 instead of 16. You think they could have scouted out the road first before going down it.
"Im gonna have to decide to bring my family in".... Truth is I'm not sure anything can convince me to go in there, but im going to see...im gonna see".
It is completely Rick's fault that they ran into all of those walkers. Aaron told him to go the other way because they had already cleared it but Rick refused to listen.
The second half of season 5 is really good. In fact, I think season 5 may be my favorite season. Although I am probably in the minority, I really liked season 2 as well.
This episode is perfect in Rick being rightfully cautious of someone like Aaron and Aaron knowing that he will have the hardest time in getting Team Rick to come along especially after Terminus and Woodbury. But now that they have come along to this new location, it does set the stage for things.
When that walker was creeping up on Glenn your reaction was gold. ♡ I just tried calculating how long till you're caught up with us. If you still post on holiday dates you'll be caught up by the end of June. If not it should be the end of July. We are already at #5 for the current season and I hate how fast time goes by when you know you only get 8 at a time. They'll go on hiatus till god knows when and that time will feel like an eternity. I must have diarrhea of the lip today. Lol! You all have a great day. See ya Friday ♡♡
Michonne is the good angel😇on Rick's shoulder. Shane is the bad. They reiterate this by showing Shane at several points for Rick. Michonne represents the hope that you would desperately have to hold onto in this world. Or you really would be The Walking Dead. Shane (or the bad angel)😈 represents what this world can be; trust no one, we first always. Sound familiar? If we weren't following Rick& co. from the beginning, they would seem like the bad guys. But "even though you were wrong, you were still right."
Great reaction again guys. Steve's reaction to Glenn being attacked from behind by a walker is awesome. I think I scared my own dog during that scene the first time I saw it.
There is actually a good reason for Aaron not to tell them where his camp is. Even though he was listening to them, and watching them, you never really know people. To him, Rick and his group are mostly strangers. What if they change their minds and plan an attack on his camp? What if they actually have more people somewhere further away and this is where they were going. He thinks to know enough about them, to bring exactly the people he saw, and believes in, to his camp, on his terms. Not to tell a group of strangers where the people he cares for live so they can do it on their terms. From his perspective it makes absolute sense not to tell them. Always think about Stranger danger, just as Rick does it.
Welcome to Alexandria! You guys will love what’s to come as well as hate some stuff since this show isn’t always happy and we rarely get episodes like this but you guys are slowly catching up which is a good thing.
Rick looks absolutely insane in this episode to anyone from the outside, but it is absolutely hilarious 😂I felt so bad for Aaron because he got violated in this episode so many times even though he was genuinely a good man.
On repeat viewings, I tend to like this episode more and more because of the small moments between characters. I find that more interesting than the constant barrage of zombies, although I still like those scenes, don't get me wrong. The quality of this season is so much better, greater story focus on the characters.
I know its been a while since I last commented but I'm in a good place right now anyways you guys are right about Rick he really needs to amp it down a notch his ruthlessness is getting a little bit out of control
Them. At the end of this episode, it showed us the other meaning of what the title of the previous episode meant and the theme it's been showing since the beginning of this season: Us vs. Them (them being people). And in this episode, to me it also meant the end of them as a group/family, surviving together, alone and on their own. Now, in Alexandria, they are gonna be a part of this new community. They're not off on their own anymore. And as you just saw, there are other people surviving behind secured walls. And you heard little children laughing inside as well which could be a very good sign but let's not forget Woodbury was the same and it had a guy who seemed nice and seemed like he care for his people but we know that was just all for show. He was a two-faced, crazy creep. Rick is definitely on high alert as he should be. And Carol's right. Even though Rick was wrong about Aaron, Rick could still be right and shouldn't let his guard down. Just as he's told Carl back at Gabriel's church in 5x02, "I need you to hear what I'm about to say. You, are not safe. No matter how many people are around or how clear the area looks. No matter what anyone says, no matter what you think. You are not safe. It only takes one second. One second and it's over. Never let your guard down. Ever." This episode also marks a new chapter in their lives. Catch you guys on Friday! PEACE! - Yvette
Another awesome video guys, 😀👍😀 Hope all is well, 😀😊😀 Love Aaron, 👍😊👍 Fun fact: Jordan Woods-Robinson who plays Eric is one of the Blue Man Group, if by some chance you have never heard of them, they are awesome, 😀😀 Have a safe and wonderful weekend, 😀😊😀
They don’t trust anyone new anymore. They’re on the edge of...whatever this world may turn them into. So. Smack the new boy in the chops. Ask questions later.
Well. I say ‘they’. Mostly Rick. Two young cubs to get extra protective about I suppose. One thing is for sure though. He’s a far cry from that man we met in episode one.
I really enjoyed the post-episode discussion. So many important, relevant questions. And I just have to sit here and say nothing about them. As for this episode, I loved it. Survivalist Rick is taking ZERO chances after Terminus. I truly believe that without Michonne speaking up, Rick would have steered the group away from Alexandria. He's that paranoid and mistrusting (which would have made for a great "What If" episode, if the show did that kind of thing). We learn quite a bit about Arron. For he has a very dangerous job. Searching for the "right" kind of people. Arron and Eric have a job that you'd think would have a high mortality rate. I think Arron's bonds of loyalty and love for Eric were more convincing than any photo or applesauce to the group. So more of a character study than plot episode. For the plot was: Group moves from barn to gates of Alexandria (Yawn). But the devil is in the details. Which is why I enjoy season 5 so damn much. Thank you once again for a wonderful reaction. I look forward to the next installment. Until then, keep on keeping on.
Man, you guys are getting close to some heavy stuff! Looking forward to seeing you guys reactions! Loved the photo bomb at the end of this video! Btw, are you guys recording the current season? I ask because with your guys pace, you could theoretically be watching the second half of season 10 live with us!
Love this episode & Man i hate the full on distrusting of everyone by our group. That's season 3 era stuff & it was my least fav part of that era. But Aaron was proven trustworthy & he & his man are very happy with the group they're living with. Which should say something, also whoever the leader is trust Aaron & Eric to gather new members which should also say something. Great reaction to this awesome episode. (I will say, sometimes you guys need to take things at face value. Not everything is a set up waiting to happen) Hyped for more reactions!!!
@@lmj2k Indeed I did. Don't have it myself but it is an awesome T-shirt. I still get the same mixed feeling of "genius!" and dread when I see Eric from Blindwave with it... :-D
Its hard to be trusting when the last people who promised you safety and sanctuary tried to EAT YOU. Just sayin'.
The change in expression when Rick first hears the kids giggling though? Absolutely beautiful.
One of the best shots of the show. Almost felt like a series finale the way they finally had some hope approaching those gates.
Think about it. They’ve encountered the Governor, the claimers, terminus, and then the hospital people. Would you trust ANYONE after all that?
Some serious bad luck, that's for sure.
And him saying people are main resource def gave Rick terminus flashbacks

Michonne is the good angel😇on Rick's shoulder. Shane is the bad. They reiterate this by showing Shane at several points for Rick. Michonne represents the hope that you would desperately have to hold onto in this world. Or you really would be The Walking Dead. Shane (or the bad angel)😈 represents what this world can be; trust no one, we first always. Sound familiar? If we weren't following Rick& co. from the beginning, they would seem like the bad guys. But "even though you were wrong, you were still right."
The start of Alexandria....
2:08 always sounded to me like she said "we took his weapons and we took his ear." 👂 ? 👀
Ty, i can never unhear that...
Its gear as in his survival gear. Am I spelling that right?
@@_devra11 yeah you are and I know that's what she's actually saying. Lol
important conversations and she just talks through it non stop lol every episode all the time
Great reaction again guys. Steve's reaction to Glenn being attacked from behind by a walker is awesome. I think I scared my own dog during that scene the first time I saw it.
I liked Lacey's, "nonononono" she practically sang.
can’t wait for the rest of this season
3:25 LOL! "Wadda you dewwin'?"
3:22 Lol!!!!!!! Nice tribute there to The Californians. "Whatttt arre yeeuuuu doinnnnnnnn Rickkkk??" 😂😂😂😂😂
This kicks off a very good story line. And it’s something we haven’t seen yet.
Cant wait to see you guys reaction to the next batch of episodes
So glad to be finally caught up. Fell a couple behind. 💙💙💙
That nod to dale...and I want to believe the episode is named after the peom he said in the first season not sure though
You guys are in for a ride now 😎
PEACE!

Another awesome video guys, 😀👍😀
Hope all is well, 😀😊😀
Love Aaron, 👍😊👍
Fun fact:
Jordan Woods-Robinson who plays Eric is one of the Blue Man Group, if by some chance you have never heard of them, they are awesome, 😀😀
Have a safe and wonderful weekend, 😀😊😀
Aw man, forget what u know, we're headin' into newww teritiry!
It really kicks off from here guys i can't wait to watch it with you guys lol keep grinding🔥🔥
Lets Duo this/ DO IT on with my favorite show
Digging Lacey's fluorescent horns lol
Was those SNL references I heard with "Wwww-what are you doing?" and later on with 'Luvahs"?
They don’t trust anyone new anymore. They’re on the edge of...whatever this world may turn them into. So. Smack the new boy in the chops. Ask questions later.
Well. I say ‘they’. Mostly Rick. Two young cubs to get extra protective about I suppose. One thing is for sure though. He’s a far cry from that man we met in episode one.
23 is a bad idea remember this quote people are a resource
13:21 Sky Flowers :D
So it begins.
There's 808 likes, is that a tribute for BOB?
Man, you guys are getting close to some heavy stuff! Looking forward to seeing you guys reactions! Loved the photo bomb at the end of this video! Btw, are you guys recording the current season? I ask because with your guys pace, you could theoretically be watching the second half of season 10 live with us!
You guys are so suspicious. Mind you when I think back to when I first watched this episode I probably was as well.
Ricks beard is epic! Tough loss for your Bears Steve to my Eagles, maybe next time 😏 j\k great reaction Cant wait for next
welcome to Alexandria...
Yes!! Lunch break and this notification arrives 😍🤗
We're finally in Alexandria!!!
about 80 some episodes in and it's okay maybe they can relax huh
Love this episode & Man i hate the full on distrusting of everyone by our group.
That's season 3 era stuff & it was my least fav part of that era.
But Aaron was proven trustworthy & he & his man are very happy with the group they're living with. Which should say something, also whoever the leader is trust Aaron & Eric to gather new members which should also say something.
Great reaction to this awesome episode. (I will say, sometimes you guys need to take things at face value. Not everything is a set up waiting to happen) Hyped for more reactions!!!
People are a resource
Now begins Act 2
I want to give you shit about your Bears hoodie, but I can’t this week, because the Pack lost to Chargers. 😢 Great reaction guys!
Hey there my guy, I am from Chicago and a Bears super fan as well I have my guys back. Bear Down!
No matter what, Bear Down!!
Why did Rick punch Aaron? I guess, to be honest, he did kind of sound like a cheeys advert for a restaurant, like say... Terminus Steak House...?
Someone1976 - I take it you’ve seen that T-shirt? “Terminus Steakhouse: We’d love to have you for dinner!”
@@lmj2k Indeed I did. Don't have it myself but it is an awesome T-shirt.
I still get the same mixed feeling of "genius!" and dread when I see Eric from Blindwave with it... :-D
Maybe title of episode should be called leap of Faith or Trust.
one of my fav episodes
lacy has devil horns and hellfire behind her lol illuminati confirmed. again.
