Alexandria has a population way under a hundred, Hilltop as well. The whole thing with the Saviors ('we are ALL Negan') leaves me to believe that Negan is more hydra than snake; cut off the head, and one will grow back. Sorry, I just woke up, so I'm sure if I just made sense, but it seems like that was a really clever tactic for Negan regarding both the Saviors and the Survivors.
Negan has his followers following him out of desperation and fear. Fear of what's beyond the Sanctuary's walls: starvation, suffering, death, etc. And that's not even including the constant walker threat. Its like when Dwight went and found the dude trying to escape and ordered him back, dude was reminding him how they were all living until they joined Negan. Negan promises shelter and protection, but at a very steep price. That's why I love the parallels between him and King Ezekiel. Ezekiel put on his act and became the 'king' he knew his followers needed because of the very same thing: fear and desperation. Only Ezekiel asks for reasonable returns. Y'all remember in GoT, when Jon Snow and Mance Rayder have a sit down after the Crow/Wildling battle at the Wall in season 4 and Mance tells him, "Do you want to know how I got giants and Thenns and Wildlings to come together and follow me? (paraphrasing) Because I told them all they were going to die." Same thing here. Negan took bad and desperate people and convinced them to either follow him or die. Like Mance's people, they knew the dangers facing them despite their differences or biases. Negan also, like Mance, had the ambition and charisma to pull it off successfully.
I still love Negan’s arrival at Alexandria. SO many good one-liners from Negan this episode. Merle was like that (a dick, but had good one-liners), but Negan is like Merle x 10, in that regard. I know Dwight has some complex emotions in his position with the Saviors, but it is REALLY hard to sympathize with him after that scene with Rosita. Gabriel surprising Negan when he asked about Maggie - doesn’t matter how many times I see it - cracks me up every time. Daryl wasn’t going to “plead his case” because he will not show any weakness to Negan or any indication that Negan has any power over him. Yeah, Negan’s a complete asshole...but damned if he ain’t a lot of fun to watch. Did you think about the significance of the balloons that the creepy guy was trying to take from Enid? Remember when she and Glenn were trying to send up a signal that he was out there when the walker herd attacked Alexandria? That’s what they used. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again: Fuck Spencer. You’d think that the zombie apocalypse would break him from being a selfish, spoiled brat, but he still doesn’t get it. This whole thing with The Saviors showing up early was just a power demonstration. A rough episode because you see everyone we’ve bonded with get relentlessly bullied.
Anon Ymous, Everything u said was 100% . I just want to add that Spencer asking Negan who he was was priceless. It had to take a little wind out of his sails bc he has to be thinking "I just bludgeoned 2 of ur people not even a week ago and you don't know who I am?!" Like he still wasn't front page news 2 every one. ROTFL!!
Ish Ajac - I’m willing to give Spencer a pass on not knowing who Negan is on sight. He may have been TOLD about this guy, but he was not there when Abraham and Glenn were killed, so he had never laid eyes on the guy. Plus, Alexandria was clearly not expecting The Saviors to drop in that day. It’s the only thing I’m willing to give him a pass on, though.
@@ishajac3637 yeah, that was definitely deliberate. And incredibly dangerous. Negan doesn't have to kill you to punish you. I liked someone from Alexandria jabbing back, even if it was Spencer. ☮️😊🧟
@Aj King Not weird at all, I’m the same way. Besides Duo Reacts I also watch RT TV, Lia Fiore, VivaMely and Georgia Corsby. They’re all at various stages of watching TWD and it’s fun to see others enjoying the show.
I still think the Governor was a worse villain. Negan has a system and rules. If you follow them, its all good. Life will suck, but youll be alive. The Governor was unpredictable. He could be ok with you one moment, and suddenly could be choking you the next. He was more ruthless as well.
The Governor is probably the worse out of ALL villains maybe Shane is the closest but The Governor is the worst out of all. The Governor is a time bomb that can explode any moment. He would've killed Rick if it wasnt for Michonne. He even almost killed Michonne who is a beast.
In the Prison back in season 4 he didnt killed Michonne but he killed Hershel because he thought that he will win the fight since he got more people and more firepower but he didnt. He is scary knowing that if he won the battle he will torture, rape and other bad things to Michonne
Negan was only powerful because of his men. The Whisperers was only powerful because they can blend in with the walkers and they could attack at any moment. But The Governor was just a normal person he use his brain and trick people with his words just like an actual Governor. I still have alot more reasons but im tired so goodbye :)

In that speech Rick is saying that sometimes you just have to accept things in order to survive. Rick talking to Michonne about the guns is him being completely broken.
Thank you! It’s good to see someone hate Negan too! He’s evil! I know it’s a part of the story, but it’s sick! I hate seeing our group treated like this. Your a palled too❣️
The greatness of negan is something special.. he like most of them have a code and rule to follow . Negan chose to be the big bad wolf and get his way this way.. his humorous way about himself just assists wifh keeping him on that fine line of i hate him for this or that but god i love his jokes r hilarious.. and he is a total dick for sure..
This is such a wonderful episode. I do disagree in one thing Steve said, that there is nothing good about Negan. I find him absolutely hilarious. He's a one man quipping machine. As far as this "surprise" early visit from Negan. It was all about the guns. Negan was well aware that Rick had a ton of guns, not only Rick's own guns, but all the ones they took from the Savior outpost. The last thing Negan needs is an armed rebellious group in his territory. Frankly I'm surprised Negan left any of the former leadership alive in 7/1. I wouldn't if I was Negan. Maybe leave one to tell the tale. Otherwise you're just inviting insurrection like "make me a bullet, Hot Pants". Rick looks like he's bought in. He's broken. Scared. And terrified in allowing anyone else to die. This is certainly not a Rick we have ever seen before. The constant evolution of Rick Grimes fascinates me. Even more than Carol. A wonderful reaction from the both of you. I look forward to whatever comes next. Until then, keep on keeping on.
I agree, except it's not just the guns. Negan's doing what Rick&co. should have. Recon. The layout of Alexandria. How many people are there? How do they live? How much food do they have? Is their way of life sustainable? What threat do they pose vs. how productive will they be? Negan's no fool.
Especially I'll special Glen was to Rick Glenn save Rick's life in the tank and Rick is so scared of Negan killing someone that he cares about he doesn't want anyone to die
Negan is definitely funny. That superficial, swaggering charm is common in psychopaths, and its a very effective weapon when used to gaslight his own people or potential future victims. It's hard for a bystander or victim to be torn between fear and laughter, hating the joker but loving the joke itself. That cognitive dissonance puts people in an awkward situation of not knowing how to feel, so when the dominant person then tells you how to feel, it can be a relief that then creates an emotional bond to the psychopath. That's how people like Negan collect loyal fans. He creates tension and then RELIEVES that tension, making people feel grateful to him. It's also how cult leaders gain followers: charisma. Scary how well this actor portrays it.
Wow I never realised the first time that camera recorded rick he looked crazy and scared because he'd been on the outside too long, then then the next time it records him hes got the same look for the exact opposite reason

I prefer The Governor. Negan lead out of fear which would get even his own people to turn against him. Governor told people exactly what they wanted to hear. He's a strategist. Simon & Shane was alot like Governor. They have no morals while Negan still had his. People were a resource to Negan while people were a problem for Governor. Guy murdered his own army to make a point. There was nobody as much Too Far Gone in TWD than The Governor, holy shit.
Negan is such a prick but he does it in such a comedic way. He is the guy that you hate so much but cant help but laugh at some of the crazy stuff that he says

I can understand where Spencer is coming from, but (like you guys said) he wasn't there for any of it. Plus, he just comes off as a dick when he tries to make his point (like when he blew up on Deanna). What breaks my heart about this episode is that Daryl must think that Maggie is now dead.
My whole thing with Spencer was when he mentioned Glenn and Abe to Rick... that is incredibly rude and disrespectful to do that... he may be thinking it... but you never say that to someone who just lost 2 people they love. ~ Lacey

Hey guys, been awhile for me! The video for UA-cam only showed about every 3 seconds and it was off. We used to see at least 8 to 10 seconds, and I know it has to be edited so it wont be taken down, but those were really quick, the actual time we saw the video of the show.😔 Enough of that....yeah, Negan is the most charismatic villain EVER! This episode was just over an hour long... so it ran about 15 minutes longer than usual. That is why I edited it the way I did... I didn't necessarily think this episode warranted a two-parter, but I do always like to leave in as much as possible... so that is why the shorter cuts. ~ Lacey
Something that a lot of folks don't realize is that the recovery is much more brutal and lengthy for the person donating the kidney, than the recipient. Also, obviously, you're infinitely more likely to experience kidney failure in the future, once you've donated one of yours. It's a big and difficult decision to make for some. My heart goes out to anyone who is a kidney patient, or anyone who knows one. Be well!
But is he actually a villian? If anything, he's a saint compared to Rick and the others. They killed atleast 30 of his men unprovoked with no information (some of them being asleep) and all he did in retaliation was kill two of their people to teach them a lesson. Do villians even exist in a world where everyone is only looking out for themselves and killing needlessly like Rick's group does constantly? Let's face the facts, If Negan is a villian then the group are villians as well for all the terrible things they did.
Excellent breakdown guys! :-) I love the way y'all talk it out from every angle! Thank you for the original content! Keep up the great work! ~ jenn (Serenity Room Studios YTch)
My take on why the people working for Negan won't take him out it, as long as they follow the rules, they have it made. They are in a group that is at the top of the food chain. So if someone that works for him wants to take him out, they would have to risk convincing others that my be comfortable with their position to help betray him.
@@leila7132 The show hasn't specified a clear number two yet. But like in most situations, there would probably be a struggle for power. No telling how violent it would get.
Also I know I'm going to get a lot of hate for saying this, but I do think Spencer has a point in saying if Rick had thought it through, that night in the clearing may not have happened. Rick Grimes, like any man on Earth, is far from perfect. Remember back to the season 6 finale? He was so cocky that there was no way the writers weren't setting Rick up to fail. I'm not saying it wasn't a dick move on Spencer's part to hide things from the community, but Rick isn't entirely blameless for what happened that night.
I said it during the first enie meanie minie mo scene that negan would not mess with the version of Rick who bit that dudes throat then took on a town of cannibals the next day

The amount you guys care about your fans is so wholesome and great. You are such caring and kindhearted people
In the Walking Dead, it's TWD family and that is the same for the fans.
🤗❤️🧟💯
“SPENCER: The end of Hotpants” I think that’s a pretty cool movie title lol.
I love to watch this episode, just laguhing with Negan mental game and jokes.
Lacey' s got one of the best facial expressions in this show, always cracks me up lol..
If Spencer took the lead, I guess he would be a lot like Gregory. Afraid of too much things to decide anything that needs guts !
"I'm not losing anyone else" Great as always guys keep up the amazing work. ✌
@@lmj2k I like to think he did it on purpose to give Negan a jab, even if it was a small one. :) Either way, I dug it. Lol ♡♡
@@ishajac3637 yeah, that was definitely deliberate. And incredibly dangerous. Negan doesn't have to kill you to punish you. I liked someone from Alexandria jabbing back, even if it was Spencer. ☮️😊🧟
Leila Edwards - I guess I just have no faith in Spencer. I never got the impression he was smart enough to jab at anyone at the right time.
Am I weird for goin on the walk-in dead journey with rttv, duo reacts, married to film at the same time even tho I’m alll the way Caught up
Then I guess we're both weird!
Right there with you.
No, you ain't weird. I watch the same ones you listed, plus:
*Nova And Mom React
*Nikki and Steven
*SoraMiyano
*DakaraJayne
Married to film and duo reacts are the two I’m watching right now lol
@Aj King Not weird at all, I’m the same way. Besides Duo Reacts I also watch RT TV, Lia Fiore, VivaMely and Georgia Corsby. They’re all at various stages of watching TWD and it’s fun to see others enjoying the show.
Always remember that Gabriel was the first person we ever saw startle Negan 😂
It's hard to like Negan and also hard to not like Negan due to his charisma and style. He is so good at mind fucking people into submission.
Awww, thanks you two. I am not sure what to say here but that means alot. With March around the corner, things will be hard for me. This is why I tune in to each video. You two brighten my day and the only way I deal with this kind of stuff is to do for others. Maybe someone that is reading this or watch the first 6 minutes will get something out of it and do for others cause it is the right thing to do!~Eilene aka: Elle
We salute you, Eilene.
@@darthken815 For those about to Rock
Didnt know you're an AC/DC fan. I think their song "Evil Walks" is the perfect theme for Negan.

In that speech Rick is saying that sometimes you just have to accept things in order to survive.
Rick talking to Michonne about the guns is him being completely broken.
Really makes me wonder how Shane would handle Negan and all the other "villians". That's something i'll always be curious about.
One of the best ways to spend my break with you guys ❤️
Yesss been waiting for this one! Just watching now ready for Negan and Gabes first meeting reaction lol 😂💯
YES! I cannot wait to watch something with you in real time. Where we all are in the dark about what is to come. To bounce ideas off each other. its fun to watch you guys theorize. but I will love it when we can all do it together!
"You got a fat lady in charge of keeping track of rashions" who is this dude😅. It's so hard to make others laugh when they also hate you. Yeah Negan does.
Omgoodness! You guys are so sincere, sweet and humbling...in today's social climate it is sooo appreciated. I LOVE TWD so very much...I am thrilled you guys are enjoying it as well...God Bless you both! PS you will Hate Negan but he will make u laugh lol
Now what they have no guns? Negan is in my opinion the best villain ever in the series! Great reaction guys!
Negan is my Third favorite Villain :)
1. The Governor
2. Shane
3. Negan
I love you calling her Hot Pants. The actress needs to see this.
Negan is such a prick but he does it in such a comedic way. He is the guy that you hate so much but cant help but laugh at some of the crazy stuff that he says
Steve (season 7): I don't think I'm ever gonna like this guy
Steve (season 9): lancy I think I'm starting to like this guy
This episode can be a little hard to watch at first, but it's pretty much comedy gold every other time. I love watching reactions to this episode.
Awesome episode, it was hard watching Rick just taking everything that Negan was dishing out but he had No other option, I think Rick was speaking for every viewer when he warned Spencer, I just wish he did it and not warned him about it.
Let's duo/do it.. first off blessings and prayers for Elle. Steve have you had an episode where you have really cried? Lacey, what season and or episode were the hardest for you? have an awesome day you two
Negan's choice of words/wording cracks me up lol
negan flexes too much. if you push people too far, theyll have no choice but to fight back
Welcome to the “Negan lean”.
I'm happy yall are watching after the fact. When it was airing, fans were accusing the writers of manipulation. They knew fans would watch no matter how they made us feel. They made it a point to show you that Season 7a wasn't Rick's show anymore. Kinds puts you in the position the characters are in mentally. And it worked.
This episode was *AMAZING* 🤟
I can understand where Spencer is coming from, but (like you guys said) he wasn't there for any of it. Plus, he just comes off as a dick when he tries to make his point (like when he blew up on Deanna).
What breaks my heart about this episode is that Daryl must think that Maggie is now dead.
My whole thing with Spencer was when he mentioned Glenn and Abe to Rick... that is incredibly rude and disrespectful to do that... he may be thinking it... but you never say that to someone who just lost 2 people they love. ~ Lacey
I love your discussions after, it's awesome to see you guys speculate what will happen next. It's also fun to know what happens already so we can be like haha just wait and see :).
Some amazing thinking from Gabriel right there
17:00 Negan has rules that are unbreakable
OMG, this episode killed me! Hahaha. It was so damn funny and infuriating at the same time. The freaky-ass smile comment about Father Gabriel and the comment about the fat lady in charge of the food were hysterical. Negan is a funny-ass sociopath. I hate to love him. I hate Dwight. I fucking loathe him. And that last line Negan says to Rick pissed me off to no end!
Also Steve you were right about David being creepy with Enid when I first watched this episode I was getting real bad vibes from him when he was getting too close to Enid and started touching her if she was my friend I would have knocked his lights out and I wouldn't have cared if he told Negan
You cut out the funniest part of the episode lol
The part right when Negan comes in and says "hot diggity dog" and then the camera pans out. I can't help but laugh every time I see it lol
This is my second time watching you guys react to this show, I absolutely love it! Lol just one thing I didn't notice the first time watching y'all react was at 19:55 Steve said, "There's no way I'm gonna dig this dude" talking about Neegan.... I've already seen you guys finish this show and I'm almost 99.999% sure you're a fan of Neegan by the end 😂😂😂. Love y'all's reactions though!!
this episode was torture!
Love the reactions from the walking dead! I always enjoy them because you guys are making it awesome! Looking forward to more walking dead from you two :D
That's the kind of thing that just tickles my balls.
Got my fingers crossed for a little freaky-deaky.
An absolute ass-load of guns.
Calling it! Watch my form!
That's reading the room and getting the message.
Lucille, she's gonna have her way.
You are creepy as shit.
It's amazing how a little: holy shit, somebody's gonna die; lights a fire under everybody's ass!
Rick, is that you under that man-bush? Shee-ot! I would not have messed with that guy!
The writing for Negan defies total, absolute contempt. You can't help but laugh at him and admire JDM's performance. You can hate Negan and like him at the same time. It's TWD. 🧟
Ah yes I forgot this is the episode where rick finally says Judith isn’t his
" Thats one bad bitchh " 😂
These episodes were a bit much for me. It was hard for me to watch Rick get verbally shit on time after time.
I actually enjoy it for the funny dialogue we get out of it
rosita is in full revenge mode
Two days a week isent enough 😭😭 lol Great reaction and theories as always!
The villian you grow to love and hate at the same time! Rick is actually living a proverb my mom used to say when I was small....." When you have your hand in the lion's mouth....be still"! This episodes are hard to watch but you know some way somehow.....things will probably change for the better! Ready for Friday!
This episode was just over an hour long... so it ran about 15 minutes longer than usual. That is why I edited it the way I did... I didn't necessarily think this episode warranted a two-parter, but I do always like to leave in as much as possible... so that is why the shorter cuts. ~ Lacey
@@DuoReacts It was still good, though.....just notice the intervals! Keep doing what you do, girl! Im still with yall!😂
Jeffrey D. Morgan hits it out of the park in that role. he is amazing.
Be well!
Great editing, great full reaction too.. also watched yer guys's silent hill reaction.. awesome
That. One. Bullet. Casing.
"There's no way i'm going to ever like this dude" Once your in season 10 i'll say i told you so
12:59 "COOAARLLL"!!!! LOL
This is why I love Negan so much. You are supposed to hate him, but because of all the charm and funny lines he says you (like/) tolerate him lol
Negan is an amazing villan
Thanks Jennifer! ~ Lacey
My take on why the people working for Negan won't take him out it, as long as they follow the rules, they have it made. They are in a group that is at the top of the food chain. So if someone that works for him wants to take him out, they would have to risk convincing others that my be comfortable with their position to help betray him.
And who will be the new leader? From what we've seen of the Saviors maybe Negan is the lesser evil.
@@leila7132 The show hasn't specified a clear number two yet. But like in most situations, there would probably be a struggle for power. No telling how violent it would get.
I thought I remembered Negan saying that Simon was his number two when he was talking to Rick after killing Abe. ~ Lacey
@@DuoReacts I couldn't remember if he did or not and I didn't want to spoil anything.
@@DuoReacts He did say that
Also I know I'm going to get a lot of hate for saying this, but I do think Spencer has a point in saying if Rick had thought it through, that night in the clearing may not have happened.
Let the frustration begin.....
I said it during the first enie meanie minie mo scene that negan would not mess with the version of Rick who bit that dudes throat then took on a town of cannibals the next day
Great vid as usual. Seeing Steve without a grunt gear shirt feels kind of weird…
Hey Steve and Lacey..I love watching your reactions from the walking dead I'm a nonstop fan..have watched it from start to now at least 11 times lol...
Governor literally had a team aswell , governor and negan are very much alike , but governor just didn’t have enough people , I’d say governor is worse he was my unstable and psychotic but the. Negan knows why and what he’s doing , maybe I’m saying this as I’ve seen the whole season but Yh
Sorry, but I love me some Negan. Who would ever think that someone so charismatic could be such a dick. His theatrics are obviously overkill, and I absolutely hated seeing our group so desperately under his thumb. However, I did enjoy all of his scenes and everything JDM brought to the character.
Great reaction video guys!... keep on keeping on!
Perspective - How many people has Negan killed of Rick's group? How many people of Negan's did Rick have killed?
