Hello, this is Abby Jo at Forgotten Way Farms, and today I’m taking you along with me as I bake and preserve a big bowl of lemons, a perfect day for homemaking motivation. It’s fun making these vlogs in my cozy cottage kitchen because that’s defiantly where I flourish. I hope you take a moment to do something new in the kitchen, your home, or for yourself. Taking the time to learn new skills is an investment in you!

Berry Lemonaid: 1/2 -1 cup of sugar or honey ( depending on taste) 1 1/2 cups lemon juice, and 1 cup of blueberries and lemon slices. Mix with warm water until dissolved and chill in the fridge or heat up for hot lemonade.
Lemon Curd Pie: Fill a baked pie crust with lemon curd bake for 10 min at 375 degrees. Let cool for 30 minutes while you make a Swiss Meringue topping. Pop back into the oven @ 400 degrees for 10 mins or until the swiss meringue is browned.

Slow living isn’t a trend for me. It's a lifestyle I have embraced for years; I learned it from my mom and grandma. We always just took our time to enjoy the beauty of the everyday. I’m a romantic at heart, with a very practical lifestyle approach “ keep it simple.” I grew up on a farm, which furthered my love of simplicity and back to the basics mindset.

I just enjoyed your video while I ate my lunch of leftover Einkorn broccoli chicken pasta warmed up in some chicken stock. Yum! Those Meyer lemons that Natalie sent are gorgeous! Look at you almost to 20K subs! Way to go my friend!

Hi Abby, As I watched this video I could only imagine how heavenly your beautiful home smelled. Your cottage home is so very cozy looking and decored just perfect. You definately have a strong creative side to you. Not only in your home but your baking as well. I watched your video before this one where you did some thrifting and antiquing. I loved that video and really enjoyed you letting us tag along. The coffee house was a treat also. I had to smile when Daniel took his first sip of coffee from the coffee shop and by his expression and lip reading it was a really good cup of coffee! I could relate so much. I loved seeing all the beautiful baking. We work up to snow here in Alabama this morning. It was in the 70s yesterday and an arctic blast arrived. Oh well...it will be in the 50s tomorrow and it will be gone. I admire all you brave souls who spend so much of the winter under a blanket of snow.

I discovered your channel by accident about 2 months ago if that!! I live in the UK in a semi cottage built in 1895, the same year as my late gradmother was born!! You have changed my way of life and way of thinking totally!! i'm trying to save my money to get new lintels above the windows and new windows and doors as they have rotted out and made the wall fall down a bit on the stairs and in the bedroom. I have changed my whole life around because of your beautiful videos, wish i had found you years ago, my husband died when i was in my 40's, my youngest was only 12 years old. They have all left home and 1 of my daughters is married with 2 young children and my son got married last year, because of the pandemic he should have got married in 2020. He moved 300 miles away last year as well!! Because of my hubby health problems were in our late seventies we must move near our children we live in Northern Michigan and I still tear up at leaving but I must accept we can't do all this life style anymore. I know God has a plan for for us. Iwill so love watching your videos they give be so much comfort. Thank You.

Everything looked so beautiful and delicious. I love using lemons in my chicken soup. I roast them with the chicken along with an onion and a bulb of garlic. When I debone the chicken after it's roasted, I throw the lemons, garlic, roasted onion and bones into a stock pot and make the bone broth. Once the broth is done, I make the soup. It's wonderful and healing.
Thank you, that sounds delish adding the lemon to the bone broth! I think lemons add such a good taste to chicken :)
