Well me and brother were stretching our legs walking around the outside of the venue and Paul started his soundcheck including Birthday and it was immense. Me and Andy just had a riot, dancing on the pavement in Liverpool behind a big wall, the other side of which was Beatle Paul just ripping it up in a sound check. Man the sound, It was so exciting. Oddly enough I don't recall that he played Birthday in the show and my two greatest memories of that day was dancing on that pavement and Paul playing Give Peace a Chance at the end of the gig, the crowd sang it on after he stopped. Happy happy day, great summer.

When I was playing in a covers band a couple of years ago I'd worry about that especially if we had to arrive early around 7.30pm to set up. But we'd get going and after two 1h + sets it would be midnight and I could pack up and get home before... well, too much info :-D
What the hell ? Did Sir Paul discover the fountain of youth ? The mans close to 70 and looks great. His voice is still strong and he can still scream and hit those high notes exactly like he did fifty years ago.
When this song came out I was 17. Soon after I left Music School and classical studies, after attending it for 6 years, got me a band and turned my piano into R&R machine..:) thanks to you Paul and The Beatles. This brings back a lot of memories. I wish you many more successful years. :) Zak

When on stage you sweat so much that you don't have to pee, even on a 3 or 4 hour performance, believe me!
