Ringo is overcome with joy and emotion as Paul grabs his Hoffner and hits the stage for a rousing rendition of Birthday, complete with Ringo on drums. Paul was crying when he hugged Ringo!!! That gets me everytime. I know they are missing their two brothers being with them on stage and in life and it hurts like hell. I am so thankful we still have Paul and Ringo.

I CRIED when I saw this!! I WISH I could have BEEN there!! I have seen them independently of each other but never together (except when I saw the Beatles in concert in '64 and '66 in Cleveland)
I’m so glad they’re still with us too. Loved them since I was 16 and still love them today, going on 75.
I was there on this Magical night! No one knew Paul was showing up...We went Crazy...I looked around and everyone was screaming and falling over just like the Beatle days! A memory I’ll never forget 🖤🎶

My guitar teacher knew the drummer that was playing in this band, and if you notice, throughout the video, the drummers smiling. If you notice CLOSELY enough, he was CRYING! I mean, you can't blame him! He was playing with the living members of the Beatles!

Off and on they have performed at each other's concerts for at least the past 15 years. Much admiration and love for each other. And still skinny both of them. Seen both perform within the past 5 years. Paul gave a 3+ hour concert. When you have the opportunity to see a legend, you do.
They’re both vegetarians and keep alcohol to a minimum. I think Ringo actually gave up alcohol completely in the 80’s.
Nobody has been through so much as those two, and to come out sane is amazing. The Beatles were the biggest things on the face of the earth. The fame of Rock and Roll did so many in. They are to be admired.

I was there. Most amazing moment of my life. I tried to call my mom after we were walking out, I was crying so hard. All I could say was "mom, I just saw the Beatles!" 💜💜
I'm an old softie but the hug made me cry...beautiful. I grew up when these guys were putting new songs on the radio.
Who can say that guy is 70 years old ? So full of energy !!! Thanks God !!

This is the only time I was surrounded by thousands people who literally had their expectations met when Paul showed up on stage. A life confirming moment for me. Amazing.
My mom is 54. Die hard Beatles fan since they came to NYC and caused the NYC cops to come to their house when she was 8 to go see then live. Jump to 10 years ago in Vegas, we see Paul shopping in a galleria before my brothers wedding, and my mom dropped everything, let out a blood curdlin scream, then runs like a crazy person to get Pauls autograph, when 10 minutes later Ringo popped up out of nowhere eating a burrito. She still says that was the best day of her life
I still can' beleive I was there, in the same room as Ringo and Paul, six rows from there on Ringo's birthday after Yoko Ono made an appearence! soooo amazing
I'm a Beatles/McCartney/Eagles fan, so I was blown away when I saw Joe Walsh performing next to Paul! This video is now in my Favorites collection!
I was there! I couldn't be a bigger Beatles fan and this was one of the happiest stories of my life. I'm from Toronto and my son and I were in NYC. I was so lucky to find out Ringo was at RCMH when we were there. I only got tickets to the sold out show because I'm disabled and they had a pair set aside for the disabled. Anyway it was a great show and at the end I thought "that looks like a Hofner Beatle bass on the stage". The rest is history! The place went crazy! 2 Beatles!! (I saw George in 1974). I believe Ringo and Paul have only played live together 3 times since 1970. As I say - a wonderful memory!!

I've seen Paul 3 times and Ringo 2 times. While the individual concerts were excellent, what makes this moment special is the love and joy that goes beyond just performing for an audience.
This is so sweet! What an absolute legend Paul is to surprise his brother in rock with one of the greatest songs that himself and John wrote back in teh day. GBY both!

Paul still sings with the same high voice as in 1968 when he first recorded birthday with the Beatles. Paul is the greatest performer,rocker,composer on earth.Great to see them toghether.Unbelievable moment!!

nah he was just wearing a regular suit. Early Beatles wore suits with something like 5 buttons, that one had one or two so it was most likely just formal wear for an evening night out or something.

GodFreeAtLast HOW FORTUNATE! I saw George on his tour in 74 or 75. Anyway it was the most emotionally ecstatic I have ever been at a concert. No one sat down through his whole performance... the crowd was totally in awe... miss George and John so much. Thankful to grow up in The Beatles’ Time. ✌🏽♥️✌🏽♥️

Just found this. My buddy and I took our 12 year old boys to this show. At the time my son was just learning guitar and loved the Beatles. When Paul came out and the lights came up he had tears of happiness in his eyes. We were all jumping around like kids. It was so loud it was hard to hear, but it was a magical moment and one of my greatest concert memories.
I knew Paul would show up for the encore to sing Birthday with Ringo - That was one of the greatest nights of my life. I finally got to see The Beatles - or what's left of them, anyway.
One of the best an most energetic liver performances I've ever seen! Have watched this performance dozens of times, thank you for capturing this!

Wow, two of the Beatles in an all-star band. I didn't know about this. Wish I had been there. Ringo is the best rock and roll drummer of all time.People who know drumming all say this. He innovated the way he played so he wouldn't get bored during his time with the Beatles. Paul is the best bass player. His playing is always so powerful.

I find really endearing how affectionate they are with each other. Paul mentioned many times over the years how the Beatles boys never really said 'I love you' to each other as that wasn't a thing you were supposed to do and how he wishes he could have told John...

I've played this song for 3yr olds up to 93yr olds for their birthday greeting :). EVERYONE loves it!! "Beatles Birthday" transcends generations, and is so much more welcomed than that usually awkward "Happy Birthday" greeting song just before blowing out the candles---when most are singing out of tune, and the recipient can't wait for it to end. LOL THIS song sounds like a PARTY!! Beatles FOREVER

I was so lucky to have been there for this, it was an honor and truly mindblowing! A great part of post-Beatles history. I heard later that Paul watched the concert from the back. Ringo didn't have a clue. Just warms my heart so much, love it and them.
