Adam Miller - "Habit" (solo) | Fretboard Journal

Australian fingerstyle guitarist Adam Miller stopped by the Fretboard Journal with one of the more impressive guitars we've seen in a while: Ken Parker's "Lucky" archtop. "Lucky" had been on-loan to Adam for a while and it was fantastic to hear him put the instrument through its paces.
In this video, Adam is playing "Habit," an original composition found on his 2018 album 'The Defining of Success.'

Beautiful instrument and performance. Out of curiosity, what are we hearing in this recording? The pickup in the guitar? The pencil mic? A combination of both?

A combination: The microphone on the guitar that you see and a mic on the Carr Sportsman amp (that the pickup was going into)... and a room mic. :D
