Any ability that incapacitates you entirely is my biggest issue with the sandbox. Like getting frozen, slowed, suspended, smoke bombed, or scorched to a point where you need to go hide for 30 seconds before returning to the fight. Also when a knucklehead radar user looks at you so now they have literal og OEM wall hacks on you for like 5 seconds, so you have to wait until that goes away to do anything. Box breathing 180 scout rifles and super easy-to-use 340 pulse rifles incentivizing bad players to play a mile away from anything is also quite annoying. I think 340 pulse rifles are oppressively strong and inspire a passive playstyle which is completely unhealthy to crucible.
Storm’s edge should be a 1 and done… to compensate for pve, the one cast should do the same amount of damage as the 3. Also, there should be a new tier for storm’s edge, takes 15 minutes to charge.
not to mention there is literally no reward for getting ascendant apart from a mid emblem that nobody ever uses. i think if you get ascendant or ascen1 you should either have unlimited focuses of old comp weapons or make them drop with double perks. trials is more competitive than the dedicated competitive gamemode+xim and cronus is still a massive issue.
I agree with everything you said but I have reservations about the gun meta discussion. Without a massive overhaul to the sandbox, where they methodically look at every archetype and make balance changes across the board ALL AT ONCE, any type of balance changes that hit only certain outliers in the gun meta will make pvp even more dogshit until everything is changed. I dont want to live in a world in which they nerf 120s but not 340 pulses, or certain sidearms, until a month later or any combination of nerf this but not that yet. I dont want to play a game where only some things get hit and other outliers dont. Its either everything at once so we get a new meta, or nothing at all. I wont play the game if they make 120s feel like shit without making 340s feel like shit too or vice versa but that is just one example. Also storms edge not getting nerfed is unreal to me. Imo it can either be a shutdown super OR a kill super. Not both. Either you get DR but only one charge and its primary purpose is to shut down supers OR you get no DR and you can only use it twice max. Either way it cant be both as it is currently.
Perhaps Bungie should release Exotic Armors that drain your grenade/melee/dodge ability for better gunplay (example no grenade-> +5 aim assist, or +10 aim assist after a kill, like demolitionist, along those lines. Numbers dont really matte, they can be tuned). That way everyone can be happy. Ofcourse its very Bungie should buff the least used weapon subclasses (180 hcs, rapid fire shotties and so on). Then it should target individual guns instead of perks, because some guns need the perks to be able to be viable. Rather the way to deal about busted perks (for example Snapshot is very dominant, possibly the only choice), identify the balance problem (Snapshot disregards the low handling of some sniper rifles), identify the player/user problem (sniper rifles are or feel sluggish, player perception is a key factor), present the solution (give more base Handling to sniper rifles), hand the nerf (Snapshot on heavy sniper rifles should be lowered). Maybe that nerf wont be needed IMO after so many years (10+), Bungie cant really balance well, it merely swings from 1 meta to the other & sometimes they release weapons so powerful they are a balance disaster (ex Not Forgotten carries selling for 600-1000$). If the shotty (& especially handcannon) feel good, there arent that many problems among the hardcore players. When the hardcore players complain, then everyone also looks the deeper problems (casuals complaining, matchmaking, loot drop rates, etc). Because i see the same comments again & again repeating ad nauseum. Its really weird, like witnessing a tape/CD-ROM/disc playing again & again, each time with more scratches & bugs appearing. LOL
Maybe for pulses a stability handling nerf to balance the range and ease of use. I preferred the game also before 3.0 subclasses. The best era of this game recently was during thr short time of the 30th anniversary. 6s felt nice. And once statis showed up it was all gone. Now outside of Hardware mode I dislike where the game is at. Even in pve 3.0 along with sunsetting ruined the game for me.
Better rewards and more rewards brings in more people including casuals. Complain all you want about the meta but the only time it was near perfect was 30th anniversary. Bottom line is if the population was booming, the meta would be diverse. When all you have is no life PVP sweats in trials, this is what you get. Literally make exotic class items drop in trials and you’d get people playing.
lmao if the first titan behemoth melee's your team with the contact class item, they either knockout kill you all or their team has the easiest cleanups of their life. slugs need maybe a range nerf, but definitely an accuracy cone nerf, specifically duality and chap
Tbh prismatic warlock is still super weak in PvP. They get awful grenade options, and nothing really stands out as even good. I agree with your lightning surge take, but the pocket singularity is not as good as you’re making it out to be. The push takes time to actually happen, especially if there is any latency. I’ll throw my pocket singularity out, it will hit them, they’ll become volaltile and take the damage, kill me with their shotgun, and then get pushed away. Also, sometimes it doesn’t push them away, sometimes they get pulled to you, which is an instant death.
@@LarryTrucker bro literally everything was good and not nerfed 1000 times into the ground. there was counter play for everything. nowadays there’s no counter play with the meta, it’s ridiculous.
I wish the smoke nerf didn't hit void hunter (or maybe to a lesser extent), or couldve just reverted tfs buff, but oh well, I hope they make it so you can kill storms edge. Overall though, all the broken 3.0 abilities and every primary being so easy to use and high range just make it less fun

Also, unpopular opinion, but I think supers and heavy ammo should be removed from trials. That’s just me
I hate heavy I wouldn’t mind supers taking so long to get that it feels like they aren’t in the game
I agree with all of this
Dude I think heavy has no excuse for being in PvP.
i love challenging terrible players that have heavy

I think if they decrease the fire rate of 340s so they keep the 2 burst but lose the insane ttk could help a bit and a small range nerf
I think that would be a good change
damn thats a good change
Nah I think there a good alternative to hand Canons

Double perks would be a really addition also it would be nice for bungie to start dealing with xim and Cronus

My problem right now is pulse rifles contesting scout rifle range engagements? Is it just me that feels it’s ridiculous?
I know exactly how you feel even when I sit so far back I still get 2 bursted
Coming to this vid late but ngl glad they isn’t killed that lightning surge dead messenger combo quick, that would’ve been awful

As a titan main from day 1 of destiny I approve this nerf
Homie is talking about how annoying meta weapons are then says I wouldn’t mind a 140 HC and shotty meta. 😑
Pali riiswalker > this meta
