Hey I was there, maybe not this show since there were a couple of them, but I remember it. A group of people sat down in front of us before they started and said "Oh good, we missed the opening act, we're just in time for Wall Of Voodoo"...they were a little disappointed to find out that Wall of Voodoo WAS the opening act, and had no idea who The Residents were.
I saw this one in Copenhagen in June, 1983. Motormouth Penn Jillette was all over the place, moving around in the theatre. This was the first of 6 shows I've seen during 40 years.
They played Perkin's Palace on Halloween after the Roxy shows. Wall of Voodoo opened with a killer set. Stood in line right behind Mark Mothersbaugh at the concession booth as people yelled out Devo lines. Good times.
Yes, I was there and it was a great show. I didn't have a ticket but a young lady that worked there snuck me in for $20. I missed the first half of the Wall of Voodoo set. 😞
Apparently, the Uncle Sam Mole Show was also filmed but the full thing has never been released. We only have the audio recording and some bits of footage that were included on a VHS in 1984. That VHS mixes together footage from all 3 recorded shows.
Man. I can't believe I have never heard of the residences. However, hearing this tells me that alot of bands and musicians I like were probably influenced by them.
@@LFrench the album stuff was really cool, but as a experimental musician my self. It just felt very cobbled together. Like a “aah fuck it” attitude. But yeah no The Residents seem to be wayyyy more than just the music.
@@apothecurio they also have 100's of albums and have evolved as composers over time. their first decade of albums is still my favorite stuff though overall
As in the same show they did every night- the two other videos of the mole show are quite different from the regular shows the more common Spanish mole show video features a lot of irregularities, like a different narrator and a missing final confrontation... The VHS mole show also features the show re-ordered and shortened, with animations placed over.

That’s hilarious, both that those people got fooled into seeing a headliner they didn’t know existed and that WOV opened for The Residents 😂

I hate fucking UA-cam censorship, but I love the fact that you can find diamonds like this on it.
Yes/no circle one

I would also like to say I thought everyone on stage was female.
Is this the Perkins show?
Thanks. I've seen the TV version and had the old VHS which included some of the Washington DC show.
im kinda sad we will never get the full mole trilogy
