Can't lie, I'm more of a ZZ Top, Foghat, BadCo, Zeppelin kinda guy (hey...that rhymes, lol)., but I took the time to scope the whole show, and I'm glad I did. My only complaint is that they didn't play Worried Man or Come Back, Jonee. All in all, it was a rather enjoyable experience...We must repeat 😎

they were (are) extraordinary musicians, not just technically, but compositionally too, and they had the most genius bizarre hilarious dangerous exciting thoughtful stage concepts, and extraordinary choreography & athleticism, but the thing that made it so amazing, was they all embodied all this fully, none of it every seemed just like an act. so amazing.

I've seen Mr. Finger several times - with the Residents in 1986 at the Vic, with his beatnik dance party band at Huey's (also in Chicago), and at a bar down the street from my apartment (details are hazy, but I did speak with him briefly). This bootleg is a prize, I listened to this record a lot in my youth.

The beauty of their "Satisfaction" cover is that they started with a simple question - "What would 'Satisfaction' sound like without any swing?" And proceeded to turn that into a masterpiece. Then they follow up with "Too Much Paranoias," which is nothing but swing, showing that both decisions were entirely deliberate.

This version of St. Loo-E rocks! Very raw vocals fit it well. Would have loved to hear the never-was Devolved Blues LP. Nervoloid works for now.

It's really amazing how the Residents were able to use samples from Santa Dog (1972), Satisfaction (1976), Third Reich 'n' Roll (1976), Diskomo (1980), God In Three Persons (1988) and Unknown Synthesizer Sound by Joe Chouinard (2004) already in 1968! They must have had a time machine!
