It's random chance for any of them. When I played through the campaign, I got the "Young Wolf" but when I played the Hunt farming for Cloudstrike I got "Destroyer of Oryx"
I like how "the Young Wolf" is like the go-to phrase to use whenever they wanna at least acknowledge that Rise of Iron was a thing. I can picture the writers sitting in a room and one of them goes "mannnn, it's been a while... Should I throw the RoI psychos a bone?" "Yeah sure. Just have someone say 'Young Wolf' somewhere or something..."
Ya missed one, In the deep stone crypt raid if there is an exo character in your fireteam the ai warmind actually say "exo life detected, welcome home" thats one that i know off my head
@@blackwolfe9965 Were they created in Destiny 2? If your character has not been made in D1, it will not trigger any veteran dialogue. For my Titan, it does, since he was made in D1, but as for my Warlock and new Hunter, it doesn't, and it won't trigger anything else outside of Warlock and Hunter related dialogue, that and Human and Awoken, which are the races that those classes are respectively. Which would activate regardless of veterancy.
Yeah they got rid of my hunter, lucky I have my titan and warlock still. At least I could just give my hunter the stuff I stored in the vault but man was I disappointed to learn that the data wasn't transferred.

Ghost’s mention of relaxation in one of the dialogues makes me wish players had a personal quarters: a place to reflect on past events, like a living space in the City or Tower to recuperate and possibly share screenshots of with other players. Similar to Warframe. Though, compared to other mechanics and factors in Destiny 2 as a game, I doubt Bungie would do this. At least, possibly after getting bigger projects out of the way: WQ, future seasons, the last two expansions to finish the light vs dark saga.

I had some of the Europe lines play when they shouldn't of, I joined late season 13 and I remember phylax calling me hero of the red war and several post forsaken and shadowkeep lines despite only owning beyond light at the time.
I switched accounts for shadowkeep after my brother moved to PC, and soon, so did I. I joined in the house of wolves DLC, so it hurt to miss out on being called “Destroyer of Oryx.”
To those who are confused about Praksis line about the golden age Kell... He was referring about Clovis Bray I Also he was mocking his exo project, since he said that the exo project is a trivial tinkering, or in other words to Praksis eyes what Clovis did was a child's play, and that he could do better than him
Same dude, very aggravating to get screwed out of dialogue due to the fact D2 launched on PC without any sort of cross save system at the time. Hurts knowing I have 4000 hours in D1 and still get treated like I was just revived.
I've gotten many of the lines not correct despite doing or, not doing some of the things, for example, i had that line about meeting rhe exo stranger despite it being on a different account
@@cow1 I deleted my female titan cause I made a decision to switch into a male Titan I also delete warlock too so the only veteran is my hunter who pretty much went through everything
@@cow1 sorry to break it to you, but I believe you can do the new light quest without deleting your character by checking on the Quest Archive on the tower

Y'know it bothers me to this day that my destiny 2 account won't recognize that I played D1 and played destiny 2 red war, curse of Osiris, warmind and forsaken.

Also is kind of funny because D2 is kind of a Reboot, but it also a Sequel, D1 still cannon ? Because everyone talks you like you are the D1 Guardian, but D2 Change stuff from D1, is a really messy story, but the Expansion are fun to Play.
Quick update, the forsaken dialogues will not work anymore, I have a warlock that has completed forsaken, and I didn't want to repeat beyond light so I didn't bother doing the quest, but today I said screw it I will complete it, didnt get a single line related to forsaken

I'm annoyed that since PC didnt get D1 and cross save didnt exist for D2Y1, now i can't get veteran dialogue of D1 for my D2 PC characters. I'd happily replay the entire D1 campaign if i could get that dialogue. Wish they could enable veteran for PC if you owned D1 on the same bnet account.
When you beat the first game back on PS3 and come back to get caught up again but have to start new because you missed the brief window of time it allowed you to transfer characters over to bungie, so you have to listen about the exploits of some other guardian defeating the hive god and have your ghost explaining what cabal are. there should just be a toggle option in the beginning for people who played destiny before (like there was for players who never played witcher 1 and 2 there was an npc who asked you questions I think) and for those who are starting new so there isn't this inconsistency in immersion and narrative. its stupid they even made different lines like this, for all intents and purposes we ARE the "Guardian" I've seen people complaining about their veteran dialogue suddenly being revoked at the starting of the new light campaign and others saying they switched over from xbox to pc who had similar issues with getting the veteran status.

They said in the recent TWAB that this is a known issue, which means that they'll probably fix it soon

Sadly since I played d1 and its DLCs on my 360 I cant get any of those cool lines, only the lines from being a day 1 d2 play and playing all its DLCs

I played Vanilla but I kept getting "That you have challenged Eramiskel before."
It's weird that my Warlock, who has definitely played through the Red War, gets the Zero Hour dialogue for Phylaks, but not the Red War one

A lot of the dialogue in Beyond Light is bugged.
