I didn't hear a lot of those veteran lines despite having done it all. Really interesting to hear them. Though for idle comments, I don't hear much because I'm a human Titan. Mostly nothing, generic lines, or people going on about how Titans are loud.
Yeah, it really stinks that Bungie still has not enabled a 'D1 Veteran' option in the gameplay settings to allow us to hear these lines. When the crossplay merge occurred, I used my PC characters instead of console so never get to hear my own triumphs from the first game :(
I think the Awoken/Dreaming City line from Ghost to Savathun is generally Forsaken veteran dialogue, I'm pretty sure I got it and I never did the raids.
i love how i made my warlock in the middle of so11 when i stated playing, played all campaigns and bc of that i got the veteran dialogs. but when i played with my hunter that i made post Beyond Light i get the newbie ones
i had stopped playing d2 a couple weeks into the red war. just recently hopped back into and bought witch queen. everything was very confusing but i got all caught up.
3:19 & 3:36 I think the veteran and new player dialog needs to be swapped, it sounds like in the "new player" dialog that we've already seen savathun's crystallis, while in the "veteran" dialog she is informing us that Savathun was once a prisoner of the awoken
disappointed in myself for missing this the first time on this video, but the dialogue labels at 2:53 to 3:23 referencing Savathun's prison in Season of the Lost is reversed. the "Veteran Dialogue" at 2:53 is for New Lights, whereas the "New Light" at 3:12 are Veteran ("you might recognize it from...")
I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure when ghost was talking about the awoken on the final mission he was talking about savathün cursing riven, I'm not sure if it was her but what I've read thats what happened

Hey uh, just a small help. Your New Player and Veteran dialogue for Savathun's Crystal is mixed up. The New Player one has Eris tell us that we "might recognize it" and the one you indicated as Veteran Player has Eris instead giving context on what it is first, as in all the context that we already know.
I played D1 on PS3 but not on PS4 (meaning I couldn't transfer characters to D2), so when stuff comes up on figures like Crota or Oryx I am deprived of my handful of different lines. I am very sadge.

Played d1 but I was on different account and on Xbox, but then when I got on my main account well because I was lazy I didn't feel like playing d1 on my main account but when d2 came I played for a while on my Xbox on my account before going to playstation, and I have the standard veteran lines from red war all the way to now, some lines I got some I didn't, but I already know why I didn't get the crota and voice line, though if I was to go back to my old and play d2 now with witch I probably have them
I really wish that they'd stop doing this. Whether you get the "veteran" dialogue, even as far back as the Red War in D2, depends on if the character you're playing on met a requirement, so if you deleted a character (or played on a different console) you just don't qualify.
Is anyone else pissed off that because they got the game on PC before cross save they don’t get any D1 dialog… such bullshit. Can they just make it a toggle instead.
As a Titan main I must say that that is entirely necessary. Not only is this armor heavy but we have to strike fear in our opponents one way or another. Plus you're not going to get that by moving around like a ninja in you're skin tight pants, or by being a huge nerd with books and thinking you're smarter than everyone when you can't outsmart my fist.

I think it depends on whether you’ve played the specific content for each line, so if you didn’t play at all during season of the lost you wouldn’t get any of those lines and so on
4:14 definitely forsaken, not last wish. I never completed last wish and I got this dialogue. 3:18 I think you got the labels wrong. FIrst dialogue implies the player didn't know what happened to Savathun during S15. As a veteran i got the second dialogue which makes sense.

My ghost did ALL the dialog lines when recounting to Savathun the harm the hive had done to us. Including the Oryx one.

Ghost does say "not again!" when you get shot through the cannon on vet dialog, but it's buggy and sometimes it doesn't show up.
