I have used a decorative stitch on my machine binding. It looks very nice.
I love your videos. Great instructions and easy to follow.
Thank you!
I love your videos. Filled with exemplary input.
Glad you like them! Thank you!
Thank you for your video today perfect timing I have been watching videos on machine binding - I have a quilt ready to bind but the last time was terrible (ripped the binding out 2x) thank you I have more confidence to try again 😂
Good luck! It does take a ton of practice. I hope it goes better for you this time around.
Thank you very much for sharing.
My pleasure!
Love those little quilts!❤
Thanks!
I will try your method. It seems so easy and neat. Good job 👍

I find my Bernina edgestitch foot is perfect for that binding, I use it all the time, I love the 34D as well with the red line in the centre. My favourite technique is to do a fancy stitch on machine binding. Love your videos

Hi Jessica! I just came across your channel! I really enjoy your quilting projects and how well you explain everything. I picked up on your PA accent. I live in Michigan now but I’m from PA too. Looking forward to watching more of your videos! Thank you!
Thanks so much for watching!
Looks great❤
Just another way to machine bind: I use a stitch in the ditch foot, when the binding is on the front, I flip the binding to the back and ride the stitch in the ditch in the seam of the binding from the front. You do need to make sure the binding covers the back but I've gotten good enough that it's pretty even. The thread is in the ditch on the front and a bit from the edge of the binding on the back.

No pressing the binding first?
No, I never press my binding. I used to do that when I first started quilting because that is how it is taught. One day I tried without and I will never go back. I like not having that hard crease pressed in it and I also love the time savings. For me, there is no benefit to press it first.
You may have said it, but what's your seam allowance on the front?
