Little known fact, her previous band Stiffed filmed an ipod commercial. Apple initially were going to market the ipod as a way to share indie and underground music amongst friends, then U2 got onboard with mp3s and they did the first ipod commercials in the USA instead of indie bands. So the Stiffed ipod commercial never aired.
Punk has no color. I listen to alt rock, classic rock, punk more than R&B and I hardly listen to hip-hop and nothing is wrong with that. Music is universal. Love u, Santigold!
They used a clip of this to promote her show on FB and someone said she sounds terrible. I definitely disagree and bought Tix to her show. They can stay at home alone I guess while we go party with santigold haha

I'm so happy to see so many people reacting to Santigold so positively. She is my all time fav! Please go and support her. She just dropped her new album, Spirituals in Sept.

I’ve been in a state of grief over the last week and this performance just felt so good to resonate out from my tiny speakers and through my body. Thank you so much 💕💕💕

Seeing Santigold live at Afropunk 2019 was one my most memorable experiences. She’s so talented a fun- She invited the audience on stage to jam out with her! So fun, and so happy to see her on here.
I’m a big fan of Santigold! I was hoping to see her on tour for the first time ever this year, but she pulled back on the U.S. dates for self care of herself and her team. Much respect! 🧡
Thanks for making it possible for us to see Santigold on tour! (And good on her for prioritizing her mental and financial health and deciding against going out on tour for now.)
Wonderful, detailed introduction of her band members. That's just great. You don't see too much of that. This pushes up my respect for her. She doesn't take her musicians for granted. That's just rare and wonderful. Well done to her!
L.E.S Artistes such a great song brings back flashes of nostalgia. I literally looked Santigold up this week just wondering what she's doing lately and found she has a whole new album I knew nothing about. then this recommended to me today. churn tha butter mama I love your music
I've been listening to Santigold since she was "Santogold" (she changed her artist name years ago). I would listen to her self titled album on repeat. Incredible artist!
Loved her music for a long time but never seen the personality until now and I'm not disappointed. Humble artists who raise the people around them should be given more spotlight. Much respect to her!
One of my all time favorite artists!!!! Santigold has consistently made incredible music for soooo long. Every single project is perfect! Honestly she could’ve gone another 20 minutes and I would’ve loved it. Love to Santi!!!!!!!!
an afropunk legend! santi is so important, glad she's getting more and more light. I remember the impact she made back then, it was so fresh! and even though she's not really from the 80/90's music scene, to me she's totally got riot grrrl essence, but with that loud electronic indie vibes from the 2000's. definitely a gem, pure gold! 💛
Santigold came to House of blues in 2009 and I loved every minute of the concert. I use to listen to Santigold, M.I.A. and La Roux on rotation everyday that year in HS. True Artist deserve every bit of their flowers. TY Tiny Desk :)
What a talent. I saw her live many years back at a promotional show (Mad Decent?) with Wale in Chicago. She absolutely killed. She even had a dance party on stage with a bunch of ppl from the crowd, the entire stage was filled. Also WHAT A HAIRDO, and of course a beauty. She seems like such a nice and genuine person in the dialog in between songs. Her positive vibe is undeniable. Good for her on not giving up playing the music she wants to play, I bet she's had a lot of ppl that have tried to drag her into the R&B/Rap world over the years. We need more Santi Whites in this World of ours.
Wow, for never wanting to perform she is such a natural performer now 💗 Great energy being very calm at the same time. Her statements are on point and so true: We need to change the rules that are not working anymore! Thank you Santigold for taking this challenge 🙏
Santigold has been in my top artists on Spotify Wrapped since they started doing Spotify Wrapped. I probably woke the neighbors singing along to this. “I’m A Lady” *chefs kiss* AND THAT LAST SONG? Fk yes, I loved it. Santi will never cease to entertain.
