finally someone who knows how to drive. I see people in fox's that wonder why they're getting 13 or 14 seconds when they granny shift slow as fuck. I would have loved to be in that car
+Alex Messina Thanks man! Im pleased with the times this mild 306 puts out. You dont need a big stroker, just practice, suspension and driving the bag off it.
I really enjoy seeing a nasty 306. Today almost everyone is going to strokers and it's cool to see a 306 running as quick as a lot of them. I bet you surprise a lot of people when you tell them it is a 306. Good Job!
94wxspower Thanks man. I try and try telling people that you dont always need the big hp strokers to go fast. The main 2 parts of good times is suspension tweaking and knowing your car a.k.a driver mod haha I am wanting to build some sort of stroker in the future, but not sure if i wanna keep it 302 based or 351 based. First i need a stronger tranny... lol Im always getting people who swear its a stroker or im running nitrous especially from the chevy crowd
so I got a Foxbody…306, roush 220cc ported heads, big valves, trick flow upper and lower intake, Anderson N61 cam and at5…would that be a mid 11s car??? And what will u guess the horse power will be with that setup
Hi, I wondered if you run 28 or 31 spline? I'm trying to decide whether to do 28 spline mosers, or change everything over to 31's. Low budget, of course. lol
My 8.8 is built pretty good. It has the 31 spline strange axles, cobra diff, i welded the tubes, made my own brace system and welded it on and it has the ford 9" ends on it.
@@917Jolly All good. I was thinking a 650 ought to be plenty. Some have suggested smaller, but that was probably with a GT40 style head, I'll guess. Thanks, love the vids, even though a little late, lol.
Damn I hope my 306 setup comes close to this I have 330 to the wheels with a 4.10 with 90/10s up front 50/50 in the back and a torque arm setup I was hoping for high 12s haven’t made it to the track what are all of your thoughts
917Jolly ok I bought a set of 26x8.5-15 hoosier slicks for it I only paid 800 bucks Canadian for the motor which is like almost 600 usd it’s got a systemax world product sr heads 24# injectors and a mystery cam and it’s going through a built t5 zpec
What does it make to the wheels? I'm curious we're building a fox right now 306 with ported TFS 170s and a pretty strong cam... I'd love to be in the 11s we'll have to see though
hey man, whats your setup and race weight? and what tires? just comparing it a buddies car.. yes i know every has a buddy that blah blah blah, but i just wanna compare. i have a foxbody too...
The44445544 I do believe its a radical cam and good tune away from seeing low 11's but the stock t-5 is showing signs of abuse lol! This winter should make way for some nice upgrades!
Moving out good ! What trans in this ?
This was a stock T-5 with a 3:73 gear
@@917Jolly nice nice I’m gonna pray my t5 holds up untill I can grab a TKX
Whats the engine combo on this thing?
Very impressive run and of course great shifting on your part. That's one great combination of budget parts. Congrats
ROS1 Thank you!

+917Jolly I'm actually planning on buying a 80 Capri with a 89 carbed 302 police block bored to a 306 that's what led me to you. it's sweet

It should be. Suspension and driving it correctly is the most important part.
The little beastly 302 based engines are so capable. Great driving by the way.
Turd Ferg thank you!

I run 31 spline strange axles and a Ford 03 cobra diff.
@@917Jolly Cool, thanks! I was looking at a 4.10 open diff and mini spool, possibly. Just haven't heard much about the 28 spline Mosers.
@@917Jolly Scratch that, think I'm going wrong way here. I like your setup better, lol
My 8.8 is built pretty good. It has the 31 spline strange axles, cobra diff, i welded the tubes, made my own brace system and welded it on and it has the ford 9" ends on it.
I also run a 4.10 gear now. In this video it had a 3.73
Man beautiful pass! Thats how a two step and 5 speed is supposed to work
Thank you!
Whats the compression ratio? Sounds great
Thanks. Around 9.5:1
917 Jolly, I'm doing a similar build, but doing carb. Any thoughts on what size carb for similar heads like you run?
I'm not a good person to ask but my dad has a similar motor in a 65 mustang with a holley 650 double pumper and runs very well.

Very impressive! Do you use any type of main girdle or main studs on that combo?
94wxspower Nope stock bottom end with .030 over keith black pistons. Just a cheap budget build haha

I think it will be doable with a sticky rear tire. Mine will run mid to high 12s with street tires and traction issues. Its a fun setup.

Oh yeah it should run just fine 👍
nice wow what timing and fuel pressured used
Timing is set at 14* with the spout out and 40-41 psi
nice run bro
Thanks!

TexasRoadWarrior I wimpy 319 haha. 3300 lb with me in it.
Don’t let the dump numbers do the talking, let the time slips do the talking! That’s wimpy 319hp just made a hell of a pass
hey man, whats your setup and race weight? and what tires? just comparing it a buddies car.. yes i know every has a buddy that blah blah blah, but i just wanna compare. i have a foxbody too...
917Jolly Really nice, now you just need a better cam and a a few hours on the systemax to in the high 10s!
