just a 306 i built with tfs 1 cam, gt-40 tubular intake and afr 185 heads. Never had it on the dyno for numbers or tune, ive tuned it myself the old school way.
Couple questions.... Are u leaving the 2 step on after the launch? It's helping with the no lift shifting right.... Also why are u holding the switch for the 2 step?
2 step is wire with a relay into the clutch switch so the 2 step only activates with the pedal down and the button pushed. Once clutch pedal is let up it turns off and revs to my set rev lim.
Nice run dude, What rear gears you running. Also compression ratio? Im getting mine 302 bored to a 306 with 10:1 comp TF stage 2 cam Patriot Heads and TF track heat upper and lower.
Charlie Davis everything is set up correctly. trans had 19k miles on it. bone stock out of a 1994. Stock replacement clutch with stock flywheel, nothing special
917Jolly nice pass btw! Do you like your 4:10s better over the 3:73s? Reason I ask is I put 4:10s into my stock fox with plans of building the motor later. I didn’t like the 4:10s street-wise. I just built my 306 and put the motor in but haven’t started it yet, still sorting through some wiring. It’s got TFS H/C/I and the Weisco forged pistons designed for the twisted wedge heads and should be 10.2:1 comp. I was considering going to 3:73 for street/strip but I haven’t had the opportunity of talking to someone that’s in or has been in the same shoes as me. What’s your take on gearing? Im still running a T5 btw. I plan on building or buying a Astro or g-force T5.
I’m torn between the two gear sets lol. I’d like better highway cruising but at the same time if the difference in performance is pretty noticeable I’d rather keep the big gears. It’s just changing gears is a PITA and I’d kick myself in the ass if I put 3:73 in and didn’t like it.
brett slater totally depends what you are doing with the car. I street drive mine a ton, more than I race it. I liked the 3.73 with the t5. The 4.10 are quit a noticeable difference. Escpesially 1st and 4th. My brother has the same exact setup but when he upgraded to a tko he needed 4.10 because of the longer 1st gear the tko has.
917Jolly yeah mine will be street driven a lot also. I remember 1st gear being nearly useless haha. But if it’s a noticeable gain I’ll keep the 4:10s. Performance takes priority before comfort in most areas for me. Thanks for the input man!

Sounds like a proper race car.

Looked like a good run!
Michael G; get the stage 3 cam. the 2 is rather tame. if you can rev to 6800-7000 reliably, you'll love the stage 3 cam.
stock ford racing 306 with gt40x top end and e303 ? or some mods ?
Building a 306 too, its 87. Going to be edelbrock rpm intake demon 650, b cam w good old gt40p heads tried and true combo

Jason Amos thanks! yes the car goes super straight. check out my other more recent vids

Nice run dude, What rear gears you running. Also compression ratio? Im getting mine 302 bored to a 306 with 10:1 comp TF stage 2 cam Patriot Heads and TF track heat upper and lower.

Sweet! Any extra modifications to put the 94 t5 in the fox?
Corbin Townsend
Nope i just used a fox bell housing and swapped in a new fox body length input shaft and it was direct bolt in
Ok so how do you bang gears so hard in a STOCK T5 and no lift shift also??????? Tried it a few times and my trans hated me
Charlie Davis everything is set up correctly. trans had 19k miles on it. bone stock out of a 1994. Stock replacement clutch with stock flywheel, nothing special

Reeled him in.... nice!!

The shifter button is wired for my linelock for the burn out. Thanks!

wao¡ What it's the red led in the dashboard ?
It's just an indication light that my 2 step is activated
@@917Jolly How do you do so that the car does not move in the drag tree, in my house I have to use the handbrake, but it is not efficient?
what did you all have done to it.
+xex michael just a stock compression 306, afr 185 out of the box heads, tfs 1 cam and gt-40 tubular intake, longtubes, 3:73 gear and slicks.
what did you set that light to go off at?
+Alex Messina 5800
+917Jolly is that when you start loosing power?
+Alex Messina It pulls to around 6000. then starts to level off. I set it at 5800 so when it goes off, by the time i react its closer to 6000.

This vid is with bassani race mufflers that had packing all blown out
