The best video for Nikon D5200 there is no doubt in this. You really deserve more likes. I do not know what is wrong with those who hit the dislike button must be your competitors!
Got this camera yesterday as a gift and was a bit overwhelmed with the features. This video hit the spot for me to get up to speed on the usage of this camera. Thanks a lot.
This is the best video on UA-cam for simple explanation of d5200 features. I am taking a basic photography class and this was more helpful than a 3 HR lecture! Thank you so much!
14 youtubers made their videos too complicated to understand and or apply in real life! I just purchased my first d5200 dslr and had no clue what to do with it other then auto mode, your video helped me understand the basics and I love taking photos now. Keep up the good work!
Every few months I have to refresh my D5200 lessons and your video has helped me a lot. Interesting enough I have watched your video dozen times and every time I learn something new. Thanks you very much.
I bought a refurbished D5200 awhile ago (my 1st DSLR) and simply haven't had enough time to really explore the features of this camera. Your video was extremely helpful! Thanks.
Hi i think your video is the best you tube tutorial I've seen… you were very precise and detailed about what steps to take and i love the explanations… i only had a mere 5 minutes with your video and I'm so enlightened … my battery died after so i can't wait until i can come back and continue your tutorial to walk me through this… thanks so very much for all you are doing to help out us nikon newbies :)
There seems so much to learn, almost endless possibilities it seems, when you're coming from a Canon Powershot to this camera, but your visual tutorial really helped me getting through the basics, and understanding them a lot faster. Thanks!
Thanks for making a video that is straight forward and understandable. Many on here are just people trying to be goofy and not really telling you much useful stuff. Great work.
Depends what pictures you like to take and the budget. If you do portraits, then get the Nikon 35mm 1.8 or 50mm 1.8. If you want something with a bit more reach on the telephoto lens, then there is the Nikon 18-200mm. Something in between is the Nikon 18-105mm but it has a plastic mount.
Hey, am very happy to have your tutorial, it's exactly what I have been waiting for, cause it helps me a lot. yours is one of the best tutorials I've ever seen, You deserve more thumbs up. Thanks.
Thanks so much for taking the time to do this video. I got the D5200 and I felt like I'm way over my head with this camera. I'm a beginner. Your tutorial really helped me. Thanks again.
Thanks a lot! I was embarassed by the fact I had the camera for a month and couldnt figure out how to change the ISO so I was using auto. This helped so much!
This is a brilliant video, thank you so much. I know there are many videos and tutorials out there but this is the first that actually shows me what is what, you press this or that button, talk about it, and voila. So I have been following this mirroring what you have done, and have learnt more since finding this today, than ever before.
Thank you my friend! Ive owned this and never had the time to figure it out. you taught me more in 10 minutes than i read on this camera in a time frame of 2 years. That makes me sound ridiculous.."dont judge me" lol. I'm usually much better at figuring out things i buy. i didn't spend enough time on it. i guess. lol but..thank you so much.
a big thumbs up from my side.............I have seen a lots of videos for D5200 but none of the video is as good as yours...........its crisp, cover most of the features and is straight to the point...........................thanks and keep up good work.
As with others, just bought a D5200 (used, it goes without saying in 2018), and this tutorial is terrific. I'll be reviewing it often. Many thanks. (To UA-cam, too, for making it possible.)
Just bought this camera last night, I have a Tamron 70 - 300 telephoto lens on order. I haven't even opened the 5200 box, I guess I'm a wee bit intimidated, I've never owned an DSLR camera before, it's always been point and shoot. I'm quite excited about using this camera and all things being considered being able to set it on Auto is great and the auto setting flash off is perfect. My last camera was a Nikon S9400 nice HD video, nice outdoor photographs but brutal indoor flash photos and the good Lord himself would have a real struggle trying to figure out how to switch the flash off. Like others I appreciate your time posting this clip, most helpful indeed, thank you ,,, PS. wish me luck with my new camera.
The best video I have seen till now. I bought a D5200 couple of days back and I am gonna bookmark your video for future reference.... Thanks a lot for such a sensible video. :)
First off just want to say thanks for taking your time to make this video. This is buy far the best video I have found about using a camera .For a beginner that wants to learn photography (like my self) it seems overwhelming. I have spent all of my spare time the last three weeks just trying to learn about ,Shutter speed, ISO, Aperture and so on. Lot of good videos on youtube about all of that. One of the problems I have found is that most of the videos that pop up are buy people that have done this for years. They seem to think that they are explaining it easy to understand(and in there mind I"m sure it is easy)But for a beginner like me I have to watch there videos 5 or 6 times just to start to understand it. Maybe its just me but It takes me a wile to catch on to stuff. You just have a way of explaining things most people will understand. I learned more in your 13 minute video then I did in some peoples hour video. To explain this stuff right to a beginner you have to have the heart of a teacher(you do) (most of them do knot). Just subscribed..keep it up!
Thank you sir, I'm a beginner and I watched a lot of videoes to give me some insight on this camera and I must say that for me yours is the simplist and most informative for my level of photography, thank you!
This is a very good video.. ideal for beginers because your not going mad pressing buttons and rushing through everything (which is common on youtube) Well explained and easy to understand ! Good work!!
I'm a beginner, thank you so much. Most of those buttons I had no clue what they were for. Thank you !!! I will see this video often so I learn more the basics. Thank you !! :)
Great video. I've just bought this camera (I'm a beginner) and I had no idea how to use it until I saw this video. Thanks a lot, I hope I'll take great pictures with this and enjoy photography as much as you do!
Terrific video for those confused by array of buttons, etc.You basically replaced most of the manual. Perhaps on your follow up video on this camera, you should give a short tutorial on movie taking and show how useful andversatile the flip out screen is. Thanks for helping out .
Just bought a D5200 and your video has been wonderfully helpful in helping me understand the buttons and settings. You explained everything clearly and concisely. Thank you! One thing - you had the camera set to display photo info after you took a shot. I can't find out how to get that.
Thanks so much for the overview. I just purchased this camera and it is exactly what I was looking for. Going from a pentax to this Nikon. thanks again
Thanks for this video! It definitely helped me a ton to be able to start actually using my 5200 that came two days ago. Now my grand canyon trip today can have some great pics! Great and easy tutorial!!!
Thank u very much sir!!! U made everything simple for me. I have had my D5200 since last year but i lost interest on using it bcoz i can't understand how to use the manual mode. But thank God for this vid of yours! Keep it up sir 😍
All DSLR takes great pictures. Video on DSLR is not as easy to use as one might think. Mainly the auto-focus function in video is not the best as it hunts to lock on to focus. This is why people say use manual focus but then you need to be good at it. The video quality is great if you have mastered all the controls. It does have the frame rate to do some slow motion videos.
Thanks for the video. There were some buttons on my D 40 I was not sure about. I am shooting in manuel mode. I set the aperture the adjust my shutter speed. I went to the L.A. Photo-Show and the person conducting the shoot. Suggest this. Sometimes the aperture can be fulled. I find my 18-270 mm tamaron is my prime lens and the next is an 11-16 F 2.8 Tokina. Learning a lot from and another Jared Polin. You two seem to have it down.
Great job! Please do a video on how to shoot video with the camera. I cannot figure it out and have watched many videos and for some reason I can't find one that says specifically how to record!
dial2fast Hi, I currently Have a Non-DSLR. Panasonic Lumix TZ30/FS20. How much of an improvement will this cam be? How is it for making UA-cam videos such as yours or Unboxing/Tuts? Thanks a lot!
nhs2008NC DSLR camera isn't exactly a point and shoot video camera. It's best to use all manual settings which means you have to understand all the settings to give you the best result. For UA-cam stuff, I'd say stick with a good quality superzoom digital camera.
Thanks can you tell whats the best lens to use? If I use a 18-200 lens is it better or just get a 50-200 lens can you tell me because my father told me not to buy a lens that start from 18 can you help me out please
Awesome video. Thanks. One question. During the entire video, there was a '?' Flashing in the bottom left side of the screen. Why is that and how do you get rid of it?
Thank you for tutorial, I have used d5200 dslr camera couple of days ago, their is not idea about future, and how to used programs manual function +-function, this video I have clear idea, it's basic idea and understand for how to use it was amazing for me once again thanking you!!
The best video for Nikon D5200 there is no doubt in this. You really deserve more likes. I do not know what is wrong with those who hit the dislike button must be your competitors!

This is exactly the kind of info we were hoping to get as starters ! Great job
cheers for the video, must say that the way you talk not too fast and simple is a lot better than most of the other people who post videos
Really appreciate your comment!

Thank you for the feedback and with the popularity of this video, I need to find time to do another tutorial on other function of this camera.
Just bought a D5200 and your video has been wonderfully helpful in helping me understand the buttons and settings. You explained everything clearly and concisely. Thank you! One thing - you had the camera set to display photo info after you took a shot. I can't find out how to get that.
When you are looking at the photo, press the up or down on the round button pad.
Thank you!
It saved my day. Thank you very much! Very informative and easy to understand tutorial for a complete beginner like me.
Aperture is good for pictures of portraits (people, animals, flowers) which can blur the background and put the subject in focus.
