Thank you Barry, you were my second video and I like that you went slow and pointed out the features. I am an amateur and would like to know if you have any suggestions on shooting an outside wedding? Or inside at the reception?
Great video! Thank you so much! I am not being able to adjust the focus mode when I press the “i” button… somebody knows how can I fix it? I don’t know why this is happening 😅 Again, really, thank you very much for the video!
@@CamilaSantos-gb2zm thank you so much. I don't know why you would not be able to adjust the focus mode. Are you pressing the ok button after selecting focus mode on the lcd screen?
I bought the camera and it didn’t come with a manual so I bought the book lol glad I did iam just starting this hobby and really appreciate the knowledge iam no good lol but I love it I love trying it is so relaxing so thank you
Enjoy the learning curve. Just take as many shots as you can and try to learn from the ones that don't work out, as well as the ones that do. By that I mean look at the settings used for each shot and try to figure out what went right or wrong. Have fun. 😉
@@photographersfreedom thank you for the advice today was the first I did play around with the settings it was fun the pics sucked lol but like you said learn from it and it gives me a reason to get out iam loving it
Would love to know the settings required to tour on a cruise ship through NZ Milford Sound, Doubtful Sound & Dusky Sound please. I am still learning photography and would really love to know what settings I need for the sounds. Thanks so much :)
That would depend on what lens you are considering using, the weather conditions, the movementof the ship, and a number of other factors. I'm pretty sure there would be more than one member of staff on the cruise ship that would know exactly how to get the best photos too. 🙂
Thanks for watching and for your suggestion. I have had people ask me about night sky photography before. I will have to look into it and learn about it myself before doing a vid about it. 🙂
When you're in Liveview, press the info button on the top of the camera. That will cycle through the different views and you'll get a grid view in there somewhere. 😉
Hi Barry, Two things I would like your opinion on, [1] is there any way of displaying a histogram whilst in shooting mode & is there a Highlight display on the D5200
Hi Robert. Thanks for your questions. Firstly, you can't display the Histogram while shooting. You can only view it in playback by pressing the Play button and then pressing down on the Multi-selector. You can also view Highlights in the playback screen by pressing the Menu button, scrolling to the Playback Menu, the across and down to Playback display options. Click OK to access that menu. You can then select Highlights by clicking the right side of the Multi-selector and pressing ok. Now when you view images in playback there will be an extra highlights screen which will show you any blown highlights.
@@jayproTV08 are you using a lens hood? Sometimes on shorter lenses if you use a lens hood, it will cause serious vignetting in your images. ı have nikon d5200 but ı could not connect any gimbal becasue no cable for this camera.I wan to connect zhiyun crane with cable.Do you have solution about this problem
Hi Emre. Thanks for reaching out to me. Unfortunately, I don't have any experience with the Zihyun Crane gimbal. Maybe do a UA-cam search for some answers? Good luck. 🙂
Use PAL if your footage is going onto dvd or bluray. For UA-cam, it doesn't matter. It really depends on the frame rate you want to film with, each allow you different frame rates.
I use my smartphone to film my videos. Up until a week ago, I was using a Galaxy S9. I now have an S20 Ultra and it's amazing! I am a Nikon user but Canon are better for video. Their autofocus just can't be beaten. A lot of UA-camrs are using the Canon M50, which is a great camera for a relatively low price. It depends on whether or not you want to shoot in 4k, and what frames per second you want for slow motion.
@@photographersfreedom , idiotic question: can you use a white sheet of paper to set your white balance for video...as a cheap quick option, by any chance?
That's a really good question actually. I'm going to say yes you can. I've never done it before but you would be ok with white paper for sure. Some papers are different shades of white but I think your white balance won't be far off if the paper happens to not be pure white. 🙂

Hi Sir, Can you tell me where do I get the option to not restart the image/photo name when there is no photo in the sd card. i.e. if my last image was DSC0012, then after I delete it, it should start from DSC0013
Hi Ashish. I'm really not sure about that. I don't think you can change that. I don't delete images in-camera, I format the SD card at the end of each day. Watch my How To Format A Camera SD Card video ua-cam.com/video/tamhRIVoyZw/v-deo.html
I would have to say the 5200 but of course, I'm a little biased! Also, I have never used the 3300 so I can't really say. This may help cameradecision.com/compare/Nikon-D5200-vs-Nikon-D3300
