How I built firework MORTAR RACKS for the 4th of JULY

- Join me in the shop as I get ready for the Fourth of July by building mortar racks for canister shells. Last year I was running around lighting fireworks so this year I decided to step it up and build racks. I hope everyone has a GREAT 4th. Enjoy

This made my day! Im big in to pyrotechnics and been watching you for years. HDPE (high-density polyethylene) is the way to go. The tubes will stretch/rip rather than shatter if you were to have a malfunction. Cheap firing system and a couple rolls of fuse will make for a great time. Be safe!

Love it! I built mine pretty much the same, i did put handles on each end for easier transport. Happy 4th to the Victory crew!
Ryan if you haven't built your finale rack yet, just a couple tips I learned the hard way... I built a 50 shot finale rack that is impossible to move by myself. They get heavy quick with all the tubes in them. You are better off building racks of 8, 10, or 12 just like you are doing, bring some scrap lumber and screws in the field with you and brace them the way you want them. Also enables you to fan them out to get a better effect. If you are really into it, a cheap firing system off ebay can turn your show from simple backyard fireworks, to a decent little show. Great video. I built 20 racks with spacers for my 1.4 Pro Single shot shells. Instead of building the lower base to keep it from tipping I bought a bunch of eye bolts and rebar, So you can get your angle that you need out in the field and each rack takes 4 eye bolts, one upper and one lower and 2 rebar pieces to be staked into the ground. I'm a one man show so have to build racks that I can maneuver. This way storage is a lot easier too and they all lay down on top of each other.

I love my dewalt gear, I’ve left my drill out in the rain (numerous times) and they are never affected. I’m heavy on my tools and they never let me down..

Love it. I have over 500 tubes and use my Cobra firing system to make it all automated and in sync with music. Aka a pyro musical. Great hobby ..

Ryan. Just get a couple sheets of plywood. Sandwich them together with 2x6 around the outside edge and across the middle. Then Use a hole saw to cut out holes the diameter of the mortars through one piece of plywood. Then slide the mortar tube into the hole and hot clue it to the second piece of ply. Also. Very important. This comes from experience. When you are done fusing everything cover it all with aluminum foil. I forgot this step and my 20 minute firework display went up in 2 minutes from the sparks setting everything off at once.

Ryan, if you were to cut a pallet in half and just put feet on it, you wouldn't had to build that. But Since you're going as far as you're going, you should get the electric wix. All you do is hit a button and watch them go up in the air. It's fun. It's like going to the park

Helps to teach people to learn with like a cross body sidearm lob cast. Most basklashes happen from trying to really whip it out there like they would with a spinning reel. And always have at least one spinning setup at least in the car just in case learning is ruining your good time on the water.
