  • Five colors Songpyeon
    Steaming time: 15 minutes
    Material
    【rice cake material】
    ・ Rice flour 550g
    ・ Mochi flour 50g
    ・ Salt 1 teaspoon
    ・ Appropriate amount of boiling water
    ・ Mugwort powder 1 teaspoon
    ・ Pumpkin powder 1 teaspoon
    ・ Purple potato powder 1 teaspoon
    ・ Cocoa powder 1 teaspoon
    ・ A proper amount of your favorite oil
    【Paste to put inside】
    ・ Powdered brown sugar 80g
    ・ Sesame seeds 30g
    ・ Kinako 20g
    ・ A pinch of salt
    ・ Cinnamon as you like
    How to make

    Make the bean paste to put inside.
    Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix.

    Put rice flour, rice cake flour and salt in a bowl and mix.

    Make white mochi dough.
    Add boiling water to 200g of powder little by little and mix.
    The standard is as soft as an earlobe.
    Once the dough is ready, put it in a bag and let it rest for 30 minutes to prevent it from drying out.

    Make purple mochi dough.
    Add 1 teaspoon of purple potato powder to 100g of flour and mix gently.
    Add boiling water little by little and knead until it is as soft as an earlobe.
    Put the dough in a bag and let it rest for 30 minutes.
    Make fabrics of other colors in the same way.

    Divide the dough into 20g pieces.
    Cover with a wet cloth to prevent it from drying out.

    After rolling the dough, make a bowl-like shape and make a dent.
    Put the bean paste in the dent, align the edges, and gently squeeze it to remove the air inside.
    Lightly roll it into a dumpling-like shape.
    Make fabrics of other colors in the same way.

    When the dough dries, lightly moisten your hands and knead the dough.

    Steam the mochi with bean paste for about 15 minutes.
    After steaming, apply oil to prevent it from drying out.

      はい!私は沢山作って冷凍保存しています。
      レンジで温めると熱の入り方にムラができるので、冷凍のまま蒸して頂くほうが出来立てのもっちり感が蘇りますよ(^^)
