I love this recipe! It's very unique. After trying this recipe three times, I have taken note of two things. 1.) Cover the pan to make sure that the inside is also cooked. 2.) Don't flatten it too thin or else it won't be as chewy as you want.
I cook it at low heat with the lid. I noticed that the dough is easier to form when I chill it in the fridge overnight. It's a game-changer. I can make the dough in advance and prepare it real quick the next day. This is my favorite now. My husband even said na baka pinaglilihian ko na daw to. Hahaha

@@AlexGoBro rice flour and glutinous rice flour are different. glutinous is chewy and sticky. but for the recipe above, i guess maybe yes. you've to try it to know the answer. tell me if it works
You can make so much with glutinous rice. Look up Mochi recipes filled with red bean or Ube. You can also make Taiyaki those fish shaped waffles.
These are amazing! I decided to try out the recipe since I had a fair bit of Glutenous rice flour left over from a different recipe. I would definitely say steer clear of normal rice flour as they would turn out way less chewy and delicious. The recipe can also be easily modified, one of my first batches I made a chocolate flavoured one by adding chocolate sauce to the hot milk and 1/4 cup of cocoa powder to the dough mix, then I filled them with chocolate buttons. They are so gooood. I would also recommend rolling them in sesame seeds if you have them. I also tend to cook mine in the air fryer for about 4-5 minutes since I don't have many good pans. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe, it has really made making snacks so much easier for my gluten-intolerant family :)

I had no glutinous rice flour so I substitute it with rice flour without glutinous flour labled on it. And it turns out that the consistency is hard Instead of chewy textured. And I ended up eating all of them, for is better not to waste food. But still edible at least 🙁

I used Mochiko rice flour and homemade soy milk but it didn’t work, didn’t look like your dough at all, never got shiny or glutiny. I understand that there are different types of glutinous rice flour. I also used honey instead of sugar. Despite this, they did turn out, however not as gooey as yours, and it didn’t get better with kneading either. I put some Goat cheddar inside. It was sweet and salty. Daughter likes it. Good idea. It’s like a little grill cheese. Mmmm.

Yummy!! I tried it plain w maple syrup. I did half a batch but not sure if it was my flour brand (golden elephant) that caused it to be too watery or i didnt knead enough. I included 2tbsp of glutinous flour instead of 1 and it seemed to work.
