I pray that the Krakoa arc is not going to end. Its a great era for the Mutants. Having Mutants specific stories, development and ideology. Much like Nightcrawler becoming Spider-Man. Or seeing Mutants venturing out in having their own country and planet. Plus....Apocalypse is now the mutant savior? Awesome 👌

Hellions was fire as was legion of X.
The only bad books were probably fallen Angel and green.
Although green is an environmental comic from a company that deals in paper so I’m not really surprised.
@christopherbennett5858 The New Mutants, X-Force, and Excaliber are arguably the best stories to date. Love that there is a new Captain Britain. Plus, seeing how the New Mutants have developed in themselves.
@Enriquejunior.18 A lot of people think that Krakoa was the best mutant arc for years. I agree. Having mutants intertwine with the other marvel characters diminishes them. They are second tier. But with Krakoa, they are front and centre.

New mutants really delved into Amal Farouhk, Destiny and mystique reuniting gave me life and X factor had me chuckling from all the antics.
And of course, X of Swords.
The Hellfire galas have shown some very funny moments. Emma Frost’s Captain America panel was funny and Nanny getting drunk was priceless.
Dark web was a mixed bag but it was nice to see Maddy P get those memories back.
Way and Legion of X were rather fun.
Red has been an interesting continuation of SWORD. Especially with how Storm handles being the queen of Arakko.
Realm of X looks interesting. And I’m happy that my favourite character from Academy X, Dust, is getting some love.
Cable was nice as well. I’m surprised that I’m putting Esme and wholesome in the same sentence lol,
Easy to forget that Peter Parker isnt a mutant and doesnt pretend to know their plight.
It was good to see him being so supportive.
Spiderman can benchpress like 10 tons....Nightcrawler isn't in his league in the strength department. Everything else...spot on

In Secret Wars (1984) Nightcrawler boasted that he is "as fast and agile as he is". Spider-Man replied "not on the best day of your life Nightcrawler" before completely humiliating him (& rest of X-men).
@@uxm4life94 Yup, that's exactly what happened. At his best I'll say Nightcrawler about 3-4 times faster than the average person, Spider-Man is 15-20 times that, he's basically a low level speedster with his reflexes and reaction time
Actually, Spider-Man can now bench 25 tons.
Plus he is faster than Nightcrawler.
Plus Kurt can turn semi-invisible in darkness. Colossus and Nightcrawler are gonna have some deep conversations about mind control.
I was looking for a comment about his invisibility-in-shadows ability that seems to be linked to his dimensional teleporting power.
@@russellharrell2747 If I remember correctly, it is. When they ran a test of his abilities in Excalibur, it was said he was merging into the darkness.
I must admit Nightcrawler becoming Spider-Man was a brilliant move by Marvel. I loved the first issue and excited to see how this one plays out
It’s really dope and makes sense. But I don’t agree with how he dismissed Peter’s super strength as unimportant. Lol. That boy wouldn’t even be able to beat big wheel without it

@@SuperRONDALE Yeah, I notice the occasional overcommitment to a point while comparing how similar two characters are sometimes leads to dismissing what shouldn't be dismissed, or even creating a comparison debate where one shouldn't even be.
The right way to look at this was simply: it makes sense this works because the similarities between OG Spider-Man and Nightcrawler are enough to sell the spider persona where it really counts: *they both stick to walls and are agile*
Their differences will bring the interesting elements, such as, how Nightcrawler's teleportation, astral cutlass, night stealth, and prehensile tail will come to bear in different and creative ways against foes Spidey handled with his superior strength, superior speed, early warning system, webs and scientific acumen.
That's really the better point he should have made there. Still love his content tho, that wasn't a big negative in the grand scheme of anything.
Does Nightcrawler have a limit to how many times he can teleport?
@@ikevann753 in a way he does, but there's no hard and fast number. It's more about how drained he is.
In his earlier depictions teleporting too far, and/or with too much load, and/or too many times in rapid succession used to strain his system, so they showed him getting fatigued.
Since then he's shown he can teleport 100s of times further and repeatedly hop all around without seeming tired, so he's built up a lot of stamina over the years.
A long, long time ago I read Marvel Team-Up #89, in which Spidey teamed up with Nightcrawler to fight Arcade in a Murderworld circus. It was a blast and I've loved whenever the two of them get together ever since. An excellent pairing!

Also teamed up before that in a spider mag when punisher was trying to kill nightcrawler. I believe that was crawlers first appearance outside an xmen book, or at the very least it was his first encounter with spidey. Funny thing about that story is that its the first appearance of jigsaw, a punisher villain.

Well Kurt have a crappy luck well that comes with being Spider-Man, so he works and it’s nice seeing him and peter talking because out of all the x men I would say him and peter would get along really well.

My main gripe with this issue is it treated Kurt like he was straight off the boat from Germany rather than just a stint living on Krakoa. I know the pizza thing was supposed to be comedy but how long did he live in New York? And I know he didn’t live in NYC but the X-Men are always there. Claremont gave Kurt an on panel birthday when he turned 21 so he’s one of the X-Men who can actually be “dated”. He’s been around for years. At this point he’d be familiar with NYC culture.
Nightcrawler is at least 35-37 years old at this point after the last time jump the X-Men cast had.
You're right tho: Not only has Nightcrawler lived in America for a pretty long time when he was with the X-Men, he even became part of a mutant team (Excalibur) in Great Britain.
His English should be way beyond mine at this point.

It seemed to me that the Sentinel never actually detected Kurt as a mutant, rather it showed up when Mystique first appeared disguised as 'Sad Suzie' - then the genetic scan failed because she got out of dodge.
The last time they mention Nightcrawler's ability to blend into the shadows was a 90's issue of Excalibur I believe.
Don't downplay Spiderman's super strength, during Superior Spiderman Octavious punched some one's jaw off their face realizing Spiderman had been holding back for years.

This would have been better before the Orochi got the better of Krakoa. Kurt could have gone into this Spidey stint, and learned how Krakoa worsened ties with other humans not bettered.

You forgot one major thing Kurt has over Peter. When he teleports someone, especially someone for the first time they get sick and disoriented. If he does multiple jumps all at once that’s going to be really hard on someone’s nervous system.
Unless they lack the parts that would be sensitive to this or have the technology to prevent the effects.
As an example of who would nullify this, look no further than Sandman.
Nightcrawler has always been so dope.

I was surprised to see mystique. i liked this issue. so many matchups that could be interesting. is it possible that this might be a different rhino? they could have given the suit to someone new. like that's never ever happened before. lol. can't wait for more. thanks for the insight

A good way to bring Miles in this book would be having Starling (from the Saladin Ahmed Miles Morales run), the Vulture’s granddaughter and Miles’ sorta girlfriend show up.
Nightcrawler deserves special treatment. As a mutant who I think has seen the most discrimination I can identify with his character

Every since I had heard he has to travel through another dimension when he bamphs I like to think that in that in that dimension time works differently, and he has all kinds of side adventures in the sulfer dimension that we never get to see.
They sorta did that in X-Men Evolution. He discovers Forge in that dimension because Forge gets trapped there in the 60s. It was an interesting episode

The techno organic weaponry that is used for Vultures wings and being used to turn the mutants into Hounds comes directly off of Warlock.
People should always aspire to be the best version of themselves rather than somebody else. So sad to see Marvel keep going to this sad trope with a character who already has his own rich legacy like Nightcrawler.
Nightcrawler's legacy got ran through the mud during Krakoa sadly and seeing how Marvel's gonna have another go at writing his origin story right now, things are only getting bleaker.
The Bamf is Legion’s perspective of Kurt. It’s Legion’s idea of what Nightcrawler represents to mutantkind.
I see on I see a big problem.. Spider man is just behind Reed Richards, and Tony Stark in the intelligence department. That's why so many of spider man's villain's are doctors. Nightcrawler is cool, but he not cool enough to end up on the fantastic four. you must have a IQ of at least 140 for Reed Richards to open a window to let you in.
Everyone seemes to forget that Peter is a genius. he built his early gear out of basically scrap.

Yes, if you’re a Spider-Man you’re going to throw down with Spidey villains. Makes sense! I’m glad this logic extends to Nightcrawler, but it’s weird so many people make it a complaint against Miles, that he doesn’t have enough of his own villains. But he’s a Spider-Man, so… also I hope they don’t go back on Rhino’s redemptive arc. It started in the previous volume of Miles Morales. I don’t think he should be an all out hero, I’d put him in a gray area, not really hero or villain, or a bit of both.
Kurt is my favourite of the X-Men! Not sure if I like the idea of this comic, but at the very least it is a unique idea, no? Marvel do this often, like when Punisher became Captain America!

Unlikely: Nightcrawler doesn't seem to remember the Bamfs he had or the ones Azazel owned.
He didn't react to the Astral Plane scavengers that attacked him in early Legion of X and those looked exactly like the Bamfs.
It seems like they never existed in this timeline but some dialogue pieces shifts things more towards a possible plothole.

It was leaked a couple of months ago, they are going to go back what the creators originally wanted for the Mystique Nightcrawler relationship, that she’s not his mom, she’s his dad. She shape-shifted into a man, slept with a woman, and got her pregnant.
That idea was stupid back then and is still stupid right now since Mystique's shapeshifting can't copy mutations she doesn't have, let alone body functions she lacks.
@@spinningtornado4543 actually it’s been shown multiple times throughout the comics that mystique has complete control over her body, down to the cellular level, and she’s had many kids, one she had with Sabertooth was completely human (despite both parents possessing an x gene) and was immediately abandoned by her, he would be an antagonist for mutants everywhere years later. Having mystique be Kurt’s father is what her creators always wanted, but marvel nixed the idea back in the 70’s (when their familial bind was revealed), and given that her body can literally do anything (including create functional organs she doesn’t otherwise possess), it’s not that far fetched.
@@matthewterlaga3022 The original idea for Nightcrawler's parentage was to have Nightmare, a Doctor Strange villain and fear lord, be revealed as his father. This was supposed to happen in the same issue Margali Szardos was first introduced, which came before Mystique was part of any X-Men story.
Mystique's own creator stated that her shapeshifting was cosmetics only and she couldn't replicate powers or functions she didn't have: If you want a shapeshifter who can copy powers or abilities, Mystique doesn't fit the bill whatsoever even after all the power upgrades she underwent throughout the years while Copycat (Vanessa Carlysle) was that powerful from day one.
Mystique's "complete control over her body down to the cellular level" is actually very recent in a story sense and came after a power upgrade as back when she first appeared in Days of Future Past (meaning her first face off against the X-Men and her meeting Nightcrawler) and up until her X-Force days, she could only look like someone else and not even create a new identity.
And even now, she STILL cannot do everything with her body regardless of her "complete control down to cellular level" and no, she cannot create (functional) organs she doesn't originally have. Her shapeshifting doesn't even increase her body mass because what she creates is made from things that were already there as in bones, skin and hair.
If she was truly able to do anything with her body then she should have, by now, been shown replicating mutant abilities. Yet, she cannot create a metal or diamond skin (like Colossus and Emma respectively) or give herself superstrength, the latter of which would require her to simply synthesise more muscle mass but she never did because she really can't do that.
So yes, it wouldn't make any sense for Mystique to have always been able to shapeshift to that level if she could barely hold Nick Fury's form for long because of how tall he was a few years into her publishing history and that feat relied on stretching her bones.

I hope the leaks are wrong because this adds more layers of contrivance in Nightcrawler's origin story as Mystique would have willingly and knowingly impregnated a woman (she had to perfectly replicate the organ so it could do the job) only for the child to be abandoned at birth to die in Germany of all places, hunted down by mobs and actually die (before Krakoa) without her once lifting a finger or showing the resemblance of care to him.
It would be the SpinneRmann. The SpinneNmann is just a wordly translation via Google or so. :)

Around 16:30 are images of Mystique I don't recognise, I was hoping you might shed a light on what issue this is from please
Those panels came from X-Men Origins: Nightcrawler (I think), which was a recent rewrite of Kurt Wagner's backstory from 2008 to 2010.
This rewrite included Nighcrawler being caged as part of his circus' freak show in his childhood, something that never happened as he was their trapeze artist from the start to up until he left looking for his adoptive brother in his early 20's.
Besides, Margali Szardos, the powerful witch who raised him, would have never allowed this to happen to him.
The reason you might not recognize that Mystique panel is because this came out 10 years after Scott Lobdell wrote his famous reveal where
Mystique willingly gave up Nightcrawler as she threw him from a waterfall to save her skin from a mob (90's).
When Scott Lobdell made that scene, Mystique herself told what happened so you had her point of view on the whole situation.
In X-Men Origins: Nightcrawler however, this entire scene is narrated by Margali Szardos, someone who wasn't there when it happened and who's never met Mystique in the first place.
The next page has Nightcrawler give his thoughts in a narration box in which he states something along the lines of "He likes the stories she tells him even if they're not real/true" while he stays in a cage.

Apparently is the final issue of this series, Mystique is revealed to have gone missing somehow.
She will be revealed to have gone missing at the end or she is revealed to have been missing at the start?
@@spinningtornado4543 I don't know. All the solicitation said about that was that she was missing. Never said when. My guess is that she goes missing in issue 4. Hopefully she doesn't end up as a Hound.
@@kylecocciante4362 She looks pretty normal in the cameo she made in Dark X-Men (just back to her classic outfit) so I'd say in a later Uncanny Spider-Man issue.
It's pretty hard to figure out when US-M is even taking place at this point, either within Fall of X or Spider-Man.
I'd say Mystique's unlikely to become a Hound for a few reasons mainly the strong mental barriers in her mind and the fact Ahab needs to emerge in 616, something Rory Campbell is actively avoiding at all costs.
She might "go missing" in the sense that she'll be ditching Nightcrawler and not looking back tho.
@@spinningtornado4543 Well, Vulture does bring back the Hound Program this issue, so it might be possible. I honestly doubt Mystique would leave her son. Plus, right now it seems like she's got amnesia.
@@kylecocciante4362 We're talking about the same woman who didn't bat an eye when her son first died long before Krakoa and its resurrection protocol were established and was greatly surprised of seeing him back to life many years later.
The same woman who didn't care when he grew literal horns on his head and got further mutated before her unbothered eyes.
The same woman who left him behind in the Sins of Sinister timeline to further suffer and go insane while she enjoyed a comfortable and carefree life without once thinking about him.
Mystique leaving Nightcrawler behind in his own solo would be far from something out of character for her since she already did that PLENTY of times in the past year alone across different comic runs.
Also, the last time "Mystique got amnesia" in the comics, it turned out to be a farce to put others' guard down and get something out of them because her regeneration prevents "her braincells from malfunctioning and deteriorating" so she can't have any real amnesia, making this plot already wonky at best.
The writer in question already contradicted himself within his own Nightcrawler runs so I don't think he'll be keep anything in character for either of them and any resemblance of cohesion.

Help me understand… mutants are under attack with no holds barred by Orchis and most of these mutants do not know who if any of their number has survived, and individual mutants are popping up to be risk being heroes in their meantime. Iceman or what there is of him is back from the dead or destruction just to,pop,up,and let his killers know he is alive and happy. Nightcrawler is wearing a spidey costume and fighting crooks. A whole team has joined Capt America.
Um…. Should these senior X-men be seeking out survivors and planning how to overcome Orchis?
I have always thought Mystique was well aware that the Ghosh was going to catch and save baby Nightcrawler. That she planned a way for him to survive without her.
You're right, those teams should really regroup.
However, from what we've seen so far, besides Maddelyn Pryor's X-Men (Dark X-Men), none of those mutant factions or solo heroes like Nightcrawler know about the others surviving Orchis' attack... and that alone doesn't make sense in the setting.
They should all at least know the Limbo Embassy welcomes mutants and has been doing so since before Krakoa fell but we're two issues in for Dark X-Men and no contact has been made with them by either Nightcrawler, the Uncanny Avengers, Emma's group, ...
If random humans know enough about the Limbo Embassy to create anti-mutant mobs in front of it as a sign of protest every morning since Krakoa fell, the remaining mutants that are wondering around in this moment (and have series) should be just as aware of this sanctuary's existence.
After wolverine & nightcrawler taking down all the Krakoa critics. Are there any left? Lol
So what if the same spider bite Nightcrawler and he got the boost? I can imagine how his teleportion would be mega.
His teleportation won't be boosted because the Spider bite usually only affects attributes shared by both the arachnid and the person bit by it like senses and abilities.
If it's Peter Parker's spider, it's a basic boost in speed, strength and agility.

@@tonywhite9873 You're forgetting that Nightcrawler's limited spatial awareness isn't the only thing keeping him from teleporting long distances :
The very way he does his teleports is very draining. The longer the distance the more tired he gets hence why he mostly uses his teleportation to fight close range.
@@tonywhite9873 Sadly unless you do anything about how physically draining his convoluted way of teleporting is, a boost in his spatial awareness will mean nothing.

And it was established during Secret War, that Spider-Man was way way more agile than Nightcrawler could ever hope to be
