If your motorcycle engine is tapping or making a noise it could be you need to set the valve clearances. Easy job to do.
Great video mate, thanks!
No problem 👍
How to find the dead centre? How you turn the piston to dead centre?
TDC top dead centre is found when the piston is at its max travel at top of cylinder and the valve are not being operated so the valves are on the rock. Turn engine over with a socket on the crank/flywheel nut.
Find the timing mark on the flywheel, make sure it's on the compression stroke
what is the valve clearance?
I dont know the exact measurement i cannot find a manual , sorry.
inlet between 0,08 and 0,12 , exhaust between 0,10 and 0,14
My ass...On a small engine I'd go with about 0.03 on the inlet valve and 0.04 exhaust outlet valve.
Bit to tight imo best to check specs though in WSM
Sloppy
Yeah sorry it was just a demonstration I was not actually doing it for real, obviously take a bit more care when actually doing a rebuild.
