  • In this repair video we go thru identifying the cause of both a P0641 and C0561 diagnostic trouble code (DTC) being present, along with SERVICE TRACTION and ENG PWR REDUCED messages on the driver information center (DIC) in the instrument cluster. The vehicle we're working on is a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS sedan, and the specific repair is specific to the engine wiring harness of the model years in the video title only.
However earlier model years of these same vehicles will have a very similar approach to the diagnosis of these same DTCs.

Didn't see a way to reach out email or other means. I have a 2001 Tahoe. Looking to see if you have any recommendations to seal the weather barrier on the front doors. Factory had a really nice spray glue it appears but it won't reseal itself and I've used super 77 but it doesn't adhere very well

You mean the clear plastic sheeting behind the door trim panel?

@@DrShock yes, plastic sheet behind door panel attached to the metal door.

When the rain deflector has a clear adhesive I do use 3M Super 77. But when I come across the type that is black, I use butyl rubber cord/rope instead. It's a closer match to what was used originally, at least on GM vehicles.

I got a question who makes the ac control units in 2008. Chevrolet silverado I have the full Load it of the AC control unit. My buttons are starting to wear and my mounting tabs are broken.

I would service that unit with an ACDelco/GM part as the OEM.

There are six different sensor circuits we covered in this diag video, you'll have to be more specific. If you mean the sensor closest to the wiring harness damage that would be at 14:32

If you looked at live data for each of those 5v circuits it will show you which one is erratic.

You don't have that level of PID granularity on this make/model/year _even_ with a GM Tech2. What I showed is all you have to work with, hence the need for manual triage techniques instead.
