This song concluded my brother in law's funeral; they played it loud and sang along. It was his song for my sister.
Today is one year since he passed.
Rest in Peace, Larry. We all love you.
great choice you know your music rip larry
@johnwillemen540 thank you so very much for saying his name. ❤️
Just played that number in my studio amps 2x400 watt full blast for larry
@johnwillemen540 tell you something: today is my sister's birthday, his widow. I now know he's talking to her... this isn't random. Thanks you for this.
@@shannonkuratli170 then they where soulmates ment to be together for life and hereafter in a next life 🙏 🙏
This is one of my favorites of all time, they are one of the top ten bands ever.
the Riots of their times, yes
The thing about The Scorpions is that a lot of there best songs are the ones that you don't know and aren't that famous
and I love every one of them
Not true
@@derrickstorm6976 Bad comment
@@orangecarbad8892 lol okay, name a more well known song that's worse than this one. A single song
@@orangecarbad8892 PS. Blackout doesn't count
Early 'pre-commercial' Scorpions has always been the best.
Without a doubt. Blackout I can handle. After that........
Yeah, so true. Especially the first 6 albums.
I think without their later commercial successes most people who like to complain about the more commercial direction would not even know this band.
Agree Uli Jon Roth was a genius.
And my winner for the most underrated band of all time.
Roth-era Scorpions. "Taken by Force" being their best!!!!!
Side note: 2nd place is Thin Lizzy.
How am I 40 years old and just now discovering 70's Scorpions? They went hard. Like a different band. Crazy.
Uli's age is simply in another galaxy, so good!
I feel that Klaus Meine is an underrated vocalist. He should be in the top 5 of every hard rock vocalist list. The man isn't even a native English speaker and sings this great!
Definitely underrated, but Uli Jon Roth is even more so
U R SO RIGHT. I will see them in Vegas on april 12th 2022, hope he still has it.
The Most Underrated is kind Milijenko of Steelheart.
@@shawnstewart66 I agree with you, Ulrich is very underrated. :/
@@troyzeppelin1074 I saw them on April 7th in Vegas not the same as he was 30 years ago or more but still did a good job can you imagine 73 years old and still doing rock concerts hitting those notes I was just grateful they finally showed up this is probably my last chance to have seen them I'm still debating going to New York for the May 5th show because I know the clock is ticking and soon they themselves will be burning the sky along with me the clock is ticking but I will die a happy man haven't seen them enough times to satisfy My soul and having had a lifetime of rocking to The scorpions music they are my top of the bill and yes there's a lot of great musicians and bands that I have enjoyed through the years but these guys are the top of the bill for me even with all the changes can you imagine Rudolph at 16 along with his brother forming this band and then a year or three later along came Klaus and after all these years they are still together that's rare and Rock these guys are the five diamond five star ambassadors of Rock and God bless them

Me too :) I'm a fan since the mid1970s!
What about Band Maid : Unseen World? Uli would be proud of those Japenese ladies!
.......Uli Jon Roth is king of the 🎸🎸🎸 !
Uli has such a unique aura and stage presence. Along Blackmore they might be the real forefathers of Neo-classical rock.
Yes, Malmsteen took chapters from Roth's and Blackmore's books.
the power of Turquoise
Indeed they are! And Yngwie was their best pupil and elevated the genre to a whole new level... The holy trinity of neoclassical... (well, Brian May contributed, too, in his own way)
Scorpions is blessed to have such three different lead Guitarists. Uli, Michael, and Matthias brings a different melody to their music. From Sails of Charon, to Love Drive to Rock you like a hurricane, it's completely mind blowing! They continue to evolve until this present day. They should be in the Rock n Roll hall of fame.
Uli J.Roth WAS and ALWAYS will be the ORIGINAL Scorpions sound!!!!
Roth is still one of the best lead guitar of all times.
Yeah man, I'd even go as far as to say he's almost half as good a lead guitarist as Fred Durst! Here's Zack Wylde "paying tribute" to Fred Durst's greatness, which includes one of Fred's world-beating solos....😂. ua-cam.com/video/Hv5IRYOhNu4/v-deo.html
@@antilaw9911 thanks for the information.
The best without a doubt
As soon as he left Scorpions , they became famous All over the world
Uley roth and Michael Schenker both head cases, scorpions got better without them
If you have never listened to their magnificent live album 'Tokyo Tapes' then don't miss out, it's one of the greatest live albums of all time.
Without a doubt it's amazing!
😃👍👍
That is correct.. I really like the intro to He's a woman.. She's a man..!
The greatest live album EVER!!!!
i remember when it came out, all the rock teenagers in my village in the north east went out to buy it including me ,happy days their concert in 1979at newcastle city hall was amazing atmosphere coz they had just broken england, their early albums kick ass especially for me virgin killer, i still have the banned cover of it which i bought in germany years ago.
This is how I've decided to start my 2024 🍻
I've been a Scorpions fan since middle school (I'm 43), and LOVE this song. Klaus Meine is definitely one of the best rock vocalists ever.
Karen K Karen, you're a badass chick. I wish I would have gone to school with a girl like you! There's no one like you! Get it?
Thank you... yes I see what you did there, haha.
Definitely. And he still sounds damn good at almost 70.

Scorpions are just a KICK ASS BAND that never got their due.
Uli Roth has such a smooth fluidity to his playing. Phenomenal player. He doesn't even look at the neck of the guitar while shredding..LOL
Well he does not need to here as he is playing to backtracks. ;-)

I'm watching it in 2099. Uli era is the best Scorps era . Period.
Uli's great, but that is a bold statement considering Michael Schenker's contribution. I respect your opinion, but I do love Michael Schenker!
What happened to Roth?
@@toddrogosin4439 He is touring solo. Actually recently in my old residential area of Sacramento.
Absolutely true
The Christmas of 1977 and I was 12. My mother had died and my brother was stationed in Germany. He came home for Christmas and brought me a beautiful tapestry, a Loyd's stereo, and 3 albums. It was Foreigner Head Games, Head East's Since You've Been Gone, and Scorpions In Trance. That was the year I fell in love with the Scorpions and have been jamming ever since. I still have and cherish those grownup gifts given to the lost little girl. 🤟🎸
I just love Klaus's vocals! Heavenly!😇👏
The band kids the Sky when Klauss sing like that. Amazing voice.❤️
I fell in love with this man's voice years ago! He moves me every day!
Klaus is great!!! and Uli Roth is a guitar genius!!
This was before the surgery on his vocal chords when his voice changed from great to out of this world.
@Mercyful Fate yessssss
Such a beautiful song. I love the scorpions but I discovered this song only a couple years ago, now I can't get enough of it. The whole band is so talented, old band members and newer ones. In my humble opinion, one of the best bands ever.
Its definitely not a humble opinoin indeed. 50* years playing, New Album, 100 mill records sold, residency in Las Vegas a year ago, arguably three of the best rock guitarists ever. It just never ends. Criminal they havent been inducted in to the RRHOF!
If they were a British band they would be the best band in the world!!!!
As long as you found it👊

Who?
Scorpions rocked like no others. Klaus called it Heavy Rock Music.
What I love about the Scorps is you have two different era’s and styles that are equally enjoyable. Sometimes I want the more progressive and artistic vibe I get with Uli and sometimes I just want that awesome straight ahead, hard rock joy of Blackout and Lovedrive etc. both are equally great and valid. Matty also being a great guitarist in his own right.
I've been listening to old school Scorpions since 1982 when I was 10 and it never gets old, outdated, such a great repertoire, so many masterpieces!
Same here brother !!! You rock!!
Over 40 years and no one even close!! Great band, Great music.
Well i beg to differ...Scorps were great but c'mon.....Iron Maiden, Priest? OZZY!!!!!!
I have been a Scorps fan from Uli Roth years (68/69) so what you mean??

Absolute best hard rock band from Europe!
SCORPIONS 🦂
From Germany
(Klaus, where is your tambourine?)🤘🏼
Herman, Uli, Klaus, Francis and Rudolph! Original Scorps! Uli...flawless!
what about Rudy Lenners??
Or Jurgen Rosenthal?
Scorpions had so many lineups in their history. Hard to say which is the original. The most recognizable lineup was: Klaus, Rudolf, Matthias, Francis and Herman ze German. Because they had commercial success since Lovedrive.
The original are:
Klaus Meine
Michael Schenker
Rudolf Schenker
Lothar Heimberg (bass)
Wolfgang Dziony (drums)
Only lasted 1 album (Lonesome Crow, 1972)
Piece of Rocknroll Heaven
Brilliant song, the combination of Rudolf’s rhythm and Uli’s superb lead guitar really works here. Great vocals too, even Klaus’s ridiculous windmill dancing can’t spoil this one! Uli era Scorpions is the best!
I agree!🤟🦂🎸

This bass in this song is so niceee
These are eternal immortal masterpieces!
Completamente de acuerdo💯👍
I love 80s Scorpions, but their 70s era is pure majestic, hands down

The fact this song is based on a poem by Monica, Uli's wife, and it's about her connection to Jimmy Hendrix blows my mind. I can't get this song out of my mind. I love everything about the Scorpions.
They had the music. Klaus had trouble with the lyrics so asked Uli to give it a go. He also was stymied, so asked his then girlfriend, Monica Danneman to try and this is the result.
That vocal 😍
Scorpions are still fabulous, but this is truly one of their best. Uli is awesome. Very well put together song, Rudolph's part also sounds amazing. Claus tied it all together with an outstanding performance. Great video.
I have seen these guys on the Blackout Tour and World Wide, and WOW!! This takes me back!! I think I was 16 yrs old. I crushed hard on these guys. Ahead of the times! The guitar rifs were so unique and well done. Very classy.
Go back to bed
Klaus has the most beautiful voice ever . It's Angelic and he is such an awesome and kind man ❤
I think the same. Klaus seems like a good person. Kind and honest. A beautiful singing voice. The Scorpions are my favorite heavy metal rock band. 💕
Truly amazing voice , and very distinctive.
Boa noite Lisa mitchell !!
Klaus’s dances between verses are hilarious 😆

@@broadfall1 Yea....I'm sure someone pulled him off to the side at some point and said, "Hey, cut that shit out".....lmao
Yes but he gets a pass for being freaking adorable and just beautiful.
It's called "feeling the music" it happens to me all the time. When I'm feeling the groove of a song, my body just naturally starts moving and dancing.
Been listening to Scorpions since I was a kid. I first heard them as I was going through my brother's room and found a recorded cassette tape called "Scorpions-World Wide Live". The best cassette I ever owned.
Still one of my favorite vocals (and bands) in the world, 20 years now.
Can't get tired of this one! The dynamics, feeling, lyrics and musicianship is unmatched!
I play it over and over and irritate my roommate
Uli Roth Playing Effortlessly... He's the Greatest of All Time... So great full to have hung out with him on his tourbus... He is such a humble person it's almost unbelievable. One of the best people I have ever met.
Uli the 🐐 GOAT!
I think, this was the best time in your life! Do not show the question and the answer your wife!👍🏼
'We'll Burn The Sky' is one of SCORPIONS's most beautiful and passionate ballad/rocker. As a huge SCORPIONS fan since 1984, I love both eras (Uli ROTH and Matthias JABS) of the group; however, the four studio albums recorded with Uli Jon ROTH and 'Tokyo Tapes' are essential records for any self-proclaimed fan of hard rock music.
For Real..
Agreed.
Rocked out on this when i was stationed in west Germany in 1981.. loved it then n love it now!!
Never get tired of this video. Timeless!!!!
❤ FANTASTICO!!! ❤
Klaus keeps singing right through multiple violent seizures. The guy is amazing.
i'm no doctor, or dance major. but i think he may be.... dancing? in a 70's (i did a bunch of drugs) kind of way. regardless, the man is amazing.
I spit fruit punch all over my keyboard reading this, and I have a very high comedy threshold. Well done, dude.
His flailing legs never failed him. I loved the white shoes they would wear sometimes, and I always found myself focused on them through all his Violent seizures. Giving me a seizure. It was great!
@@AWMIDEA Glad you mentioned that. The version on Tokyo Tapes is far superior. Uli's solos are mind blowing.

Klaus is the best vocalist in Rock, Rudolph a great showman, Francis Bucholz plays a powerful Bass, Herman is one of the best drummers from the 70's and Uli Jon Roth is an amazing guitarist! This band had it all with Uli on lead!
Not to nit pick but I was never overly impressed with Herman on the Drums but the rest of this line up is fricken Awesome!! Especially Uli, he was beyond great!
Until your last sentence I agreed completely but Micheal Schenker is better then UJR.
@@pbasser2 I'd say he is different..

Love the contrast, Roth standing rigid, Schenker going bananas.
Rudy was doing some headbanging. He knew where the Scorpions music was heading over that next decade.

I'm in love with the sunshine
I'm in love with the falling rain
Everything seems to call your name
Yesterday you were leaving
Leaving life and all the pain
Everything wants you back again.
I've found myself through you
And there was love in my life
I felt always naturally high and my love had a home
But now my mind has started to roam
You're my life giving fire and you carried all my love
Through you I was so inspired
You're engraved deep in my heart
My dreams recall us being one
I've searched for you to be free
My force of life you have always been
I feel blue since you've gone
Your breath of love surrounded me
When can I rejoin you to be free
Wait, can this be a dream
There is a voice in my head
It belongs to you, it say's
Don't cry, no need to be sad
There's a way to stay with you again
It's more than we ever had
And no death brings us apart
Our timeless love always grows
Because you are my other heart
I know we've never been apart
Your love sets fire to my heart
We'll burn the sky
When it's time for me to die
We'll burn the sky...
