thats exactly what I experienced... I realized that there was a little dripping from my tailpipe or muffler and today my truck wouldnt start... any advice what if might be??

I know this is an old comment, but can this be caused by the sealing rings or is this most likely happening because of a stuck or dirty injector ? Just made some leak tests on my old mazda and saw a puddle of fuel on top of my piston after few minutes. And the cranking is long.
@@jiouse5881 mine was infact caused by a dirty injector. So it probably didn't close all the way and fuel leaked into the cylinder over night and pressure dropped. I tried the lazy man's cleaning method where you just directly spray the cleaner into your fuel rail so the car runs only with carb cleaner and added some injector cleaner to my fuel tank. Problem solved and mazda takes me to work every day :)
When you say misfire do you mean the popping sound I hear randomly coming from the engine bay? It'll be running fine, then, on acceleration...pop, pop, pop...then run okay. It'll pop 2 or 3 times typically, then be okay for a while.
Fuel injector resistance are 8.8, 8.9, 8.8, 8.9 on a sentra 1.4 engine. If this is low, what should I do? Owner's manual says resistance should be something in the 11 and 15(?) range. Spark plugs are normal. Quick start on cold or hot. Engine's performs fine.
As the coil of the injector is most likely original, means the coil may decrease in resistance as time goes on. Considering the factory states that the coil should be 10-11 ohms, I’d say 8-9 isn’t bad, especially since you probably measured while the injector was warm/hot. That will cause impedance changes on the coil as well. As long as it runs well and you have no SES codes, don’t look for a problem.
I had a P0171, a P0420, and a P2195 code after replacing the battery in my Toyota. After some research, I figured it was the computer whacking out because it needed to relearn how all the components work and what their normal working condition is. However, knowing what condition a fuel injector is in will have a specific accompanying code helps to eliminate the fuel injector as an issue. If it's clogged or non-functional, there would be a P0301-P0308 "misfire on cylinder" error. If it's leaking externally, you'd smell gasoline in the engine bay. If it's leaking internally, you'd get a P0172 error for "rich condition". Plus, there's error P0201-P0210 to accompany any of those conditions.

@@Killedby-Monty JTLYK, most of my information is from vast amounts of internet research and looking at multiple different videos to find out that one problem can have a chain reaction of error codes if the problem is one direction or another. So, I would suggest you go with process of elimination. One thing of note with regards to tapping the pedal: Is your truck fuel injected? If so, tapping the gas pedal shouldn't really be having an effect on helping the engine to turn over. My neighbor sold me a truck because it was having problems working and he didn't want it anymore. One problem was that it hesitated badly. After I agreed to take it off his hands, I replaced the battery and he pumped the gas pedal a few times claiming that that helped to get the engine turned over. The thing is pumping the gas pedal was something of necessity for older cars because newer cars are fuel injected and don't need priming. After cleaning the throttle body, it stopped hesitating.
@@renegade637 I’m not sure but I’ll clean the throttle body and hopefully that’s my problem because also when the truck is at a rest position and when I drive it’ll start to shake and sound like it wants to cut off and when I reverse to it’ll shake badly and sounds different also like it has a cam on it ? And normally I’ve never had to press the gas pedal for the truck to turn on I would just turn the key and boom it’s on.
Changed the catalytic converter a few days ago. It is now smoking while being revved at 2-3000 Rpm. Think it’s the fuel injector? No coolant loss or overheating so i don’t think it’s a head gasket but white smoke

I have to give it gas and when I give to much gas it’s a popping noise coming from the engine bay. Hey smart uploader, can you explain another sinmptom that you didn't cover. A very BIG BANG like a hammer while driving on the road at 2000rpms 40miles/h. The engine carried on running, I did not even stop.. no engine management light on, NOTHING. I just put a scan tool and the error was an internat error from DDE. The car is BMW, M47 engine, 2 litres diesel. Dismatle later the 2 injectors FOUND TO SEND BACK TO THE TANK A LOT OF FUEL. Almost triple the amount of other 2... replaced the injectors temporary with 2 other I had already of ebay. Car is back to normal at moment. Never had any, I mean any issues with the injectors in 300k miles that are on the clock. I have ISTA+ diagosing tool for my car so the car is read now and them or when error appears on the dash.. I used for almost 250k mile 2 stroke oil mixed with diesel.. Nozzles tested with brake spray for pattern and blockage on al injectors removed or installed. No issue. Could you put your mind at my stance, situation I faced? And give me a reason? The car has Bosch injector.

My 2001 Hyundai tiburon got me 44km for R300 petrol. About 7.2L of petrol. I need to use it to see clients now its kill8ng me with petrol. My old one used to get me 140km on the same amount of feul. I have replaced all my srnsors, ECU and feul regulator. Im sure i need to replace the injectors now. I do have another 3 ECUs i can try but i already put another one in. My tib idles like a racecar rough and Loud. One guy thaught i had a rotary in it

Yo! Mines wasnt leaking till i touched it and it shot out feom the nozzle. Im actually looking for a solution to my problem. At stop lights, when i try to accelerate, it acts like its not getting enough gas or the right mix of gas and air...so the motor shuts off..or at 70mph and j have my foot on the gas, it will not let me give it gas. Bc its not getting any, the motor shuts off. The other day, while it was cold i started it and turned on the a/c, it died right away. Its getting too hot and emitting a white smoke from an "under-the-hood exhaust" looking thing. Ive changed the filter, the pumps motor and filter and the tps...no one has an obd1 reader so i had to put in into manual and pull the code myself. 31. In the Chilton(extra repair manual) it says 31 is an air flow meter. Does this sound correct?
I have no engine code on but I do have fuel smell in my oil. I changed the oil because it was at my normal 3500 k mile interval and noticed oil smelled like gas. Changed the oil and 50 miles later, oil still smells like gas. Help please!!

14.7:1 is NOT the perfect fuel air ratio... It's just the amount forced by law to have for emissions under a closed loop map... But you get way better mpg with a leaner mix.
A P0302 code indicates a misfire in cylinder 2 of the engine. Common causes include faulty spark plugs, ignition coils, fuel injectors, and vacuum leaks.
Having the same issue except with my Saab might be related as it’s also a 2.8 v6 except not a diesel I’ve changed two fuel pumps to the same outcome with p0089 also coming up changed the pressure sensors to no avail so most likely will either be weak fuel pumps or the actual injectors/fuel lines might have a pin hole leak in them as Chryslers/Saabs are very picky with these things sm sitting at about 1.1bar when it should be reading above 3-4bar or 50-60psi fuel pressure

Also if you change your own oil you'll notice the oil will smell of raw fuel a lot

Im not a machanic per say but that could be a bad head gasket. The fuel part im not sure about but could be part of it

8 gas in oil (oil level too high - Coolant at level)
Could a rich condition cause the header pipe to be cool when the others are hot.
More likely from a lean condition, since less heat is released in combustion

Yo! Mines wasnt leaking till i touched it and it shot out feom the nozzle. Im actually looking for a solution to my problem. At stop lights, when i try to accelerate, it acts like its not getting enough gas or the right mix of gas and air...so the motor shuts off..or at 70mph and j have my foot on the gas, it will not let me give it gas. Bc its not getting any, the motor shuts off. The other day, while it was cold i started it and turned on the a/c, it died right away. Its getting too hot and emitting a white smoke from an "under-the-hood exhaust" looking thing. Ive changed the filter, the pumps motor and filter and the tps...no one has an obd1 reader so i had to put in into manual and pull the code myself. 31. In the Chilton(extra repair manual) it says 31 is an air flow meter. Does this sound correct?

I have no engine code on but I do have fuel smell in my oil. I changed the oil because it was at my normal 3500 k mile interval and noticed oil smelled like gas. Changed the oil and 50 miles later, oil still smells like gas. Help please!!

What do you think about a hard starting integra where the fuel pump and regulator was changed and iacv cleaned. Thinking I'm losing fuel pressure when it sits a few hours. Rough idles occasionally too.

14.7:1 is NOT the perfect fuel air ratio... It's just the amount forced by law to have for emissions under a closed loop map...
But you get way better mpg with a leaner mix.

Chrysler Grand Voyager 2008 2.8 crd diesel getting P0087. Fuel Rail/System Pressure too low.
Having the same issue except with my Saab might be related as it’s also a 2.8 v6 except not a diesel I’ve changed two fuel pumps to the same outcome with p0089 also coming up changed the pressure sensors to no avail so most likely will either be weak fuel pumps or the actual injectors/fuel lines might have a pin hole leak in them as Chryslers/Saabs are very picky with these things sm sitting at about 1.1bar when it should be reading above 3-4bar or 50-60psi fuel pressure
